Everything that is happening is all my mistakes. I know that I cannot blame Alicia if she brought me here. It was not her mistake at all. It is me who cannot decide where to start, and that is why Alicia brought me here to kill these boys. It is not Alicia, not the curse, not my fate, but me. It is me who must be blamed. I am a serial killer who does not show any sympathy to others.
Maybe it is because I hate myself too much. I noticed that I had already killed the boy in front of me. I did not notice that I stroked the boy many times on his head, causing a very big crack in it. His brain had exploded like a volcano that could not endure the lava erupting.
Though it was difficult to be squeamish about seeing blood, I will simply regard it as a trial, one that will strengthen me for future ordeals. It seemed that my whole life was just a trial and there was nothing enjoyable about it. It was just full of sadness and there were just a few good moments.
Maybe it was because of the outrage that I had towards myself. When I came back to my consciousness, one of the boys that was on my front had totally laid down on the ground. There is nothing left from the six boys that were alive. They are all lying on the ground, except Alicia, who is just sitting there on the root of the tree while looking at me.
Alicia stood up and walked towards me. I noticed that her face had changed a lot. She had become more beautiful. Well, I knew that there was nothing impossible when it came to Alicia. It is also possible that she can change herself into a young boy, and it is also possible that she can come back to her young and beautiful self. Alicia raised her hand on the air. Suddenly, the boys who were lying on the ground by the roadside disappeared. I don't know where they are now.
Alicia stopped beside me and said, "You had killed all of those six boys. So what is your next plan? I just want to remind you that you must quickly finish your mission if you also want to quickly get rid of the curse."
"You don't need to remind me, I don't need to be hasty to get rid of the curse that came from you. I need to consider other people before doing an action. You are just doing things for your own interest."
"Oh Sheena! Please just forget it. Look, if I am doing these things for my own interest, you know that I am not here now. I don't need to coerce myself to go with you. I am here because I want to help you, and my own interest is not a part of it," she replied.
"I knew it; I just wanted to tell you that you don't need to help me make my own decision, because it appears that you are taking away my right to decide what I want to do."
"So are you telling me that you don't need my help anymore? Good to know that you will help yourself in doing your mission."
"No—I still need your help I need some guidance to become stronger and more powerful. Why won't you teach me how to fight and how to use dark magic?"
"That's a good idea, I would not need to help you anymore if you know how to help and protect yourself—let me help you how to fight without using anything, you only need your hand," she replied.
"Teach me now how to use my hand in fighting," I said. I knew that it was not easy to fight using a hand, but what does not kill you makes you stronger, so it is better to try than to fail without trying at all.
"If you are thinking that it is difficult to fight by just using your hand, you mistook it, because you don't need to apply any force to fight against your enemy." She went towards me and held my hand. He raised it, pointing to the tall tree that has green foliage. "Just focus on what you want to do, as what I have told you, everything around you will conspire against you, and what you want—you can gain it. Believe me," she whispered.
Suddenly, the foliage of the tree which we are pointing our finger at starts falling down on the grassy ground. It seems that they were withered and blown away by the whispering breeze. The foliage was falling until the tree became out of leaves. All its leaves had fallen and lay thick on the ground. Though it is incredible, I forced myself to believe it because I saw it with my own eyes. Alicia is really powerful. She can make impossible things become possible, but though she is powerful, there are still many things that she cannot do. Just like removing the curse that she put on me, and helping herself to go back to the place where she came from.
"Now it is your turn." Alicia removed her hand from mine. "Make that tree grow its leaves again." As in, she said, seriously.
"What? How can I make that tree grow back its leaves?" I complained.
I know that it will take the tree a very long time before it can grow back its leaves. I don't know how Alicia made that tree wither, and I also do not know how to bring it back to its normal condition. Alicia was so powerful that it only took her a second to change the appearance of the tree. I really need to spend a long time before I can do what she did.
"Don't worry too much, Sheena. You only need to focus. It is just a trial and error. Don't give up. You can do it." Alicia went towards the flat stone and sat down there, still watching and observing me.
I really need to learn dark magic like Alicia, because I know that it will help me in my next fight. Alicia told me that after every fight, the enemies would become stronger than the first one. I don't know what kind of people I will be fighting next, but it's better to be prepared so that I can keep my life safe. I need to practice dark magic because I am not good at this. I cannot even grow one leaf from a tree by using my hands. Until now, I am still practicing dark magic with Alicia. She has complained many times about why I am so difficult to teach. It is not my problem that I am difficult to teach, because she once told me that it also took her a long time before she mastered all the power that she had.
I don't know what is happening to my mansion currently, but maybe they noticed that I was not there and will leave the mansion because of that. I wonder if they are just okay there. Well, they don't need to work there anymore, especially that they don't have a boss. I had told Amara to supervise everything if I was not there. I don't care about them now. I know that I can help myself and survive alone. They know how to leave there if they don't want to be my workers anymore. They have their freedom to do everything that they want as long as they are not stepping on others. I realized that my life is more beautiful if I am not thinking about them. It is better if I am carefree. Everything will be back to normal if I can finish my mission. Now, I need to practice more dark magic so that I can go back to my normal life.
"So have you done your task?" Alicia asked.
"What task?" I asked back.
"Your task is to grow the leaves of that small plant. Have you forgotten that I told you to wither its leaves and grow them again by using your hand?"
I said, but it sounds a complain: "I am not doing it. Look at me! I am making that huge tree fall down, but it was the work of a fool."
"I told you not to force yourself to look at that tree anymore because it is so huge and it is not easy for you to wither its leaves and grow it again. It is better if you practice magic here on these small plants, because they are easier than those trees. You are just making yourself a fool. If you can't, then don't force yourself. You must start with what is easier before moving to the huge thing that is more difficult. There is a right time for them. Always remember that all great things come from small beginnings."
"How can you say that it is more difficult to grow leaves from those huge trees if I currently have a branch of a tree with full leaves? Did you see that branch and those leaves? I grew them by using my fingers only."
"Are you sure that you are the one who made it?"
"Don't you trust me? There are five hundred leaves on that branch. Ask me how I knew the number of those leaves if I am not the one who made them," I replied seriously, but seems to chuckle.
"Good job! But if you really made them, then show them to me now. Try to grow another branch of a tree that is full of green leaves."
If the power of sight did not show me how to grow a leaf on the tree, it would definitely take thousands of tries before I could do it. I saw that I had tried thousands of trials before I made it, but in just a blink of my eyes, I made it by the help of the power of vision. My future has changed because of it. I don't need to waste my time practicing dark magic for a long time.
"Look! Now how can you tell me that I cannot grow a branch of a tree that is full of green leaves?" I asked.
"You are clever and powerful. It took me a long time before I knew how to make things like that, but you are MIRACULOUS that you can make them in just a short period of time. Tell me, what is your secret?"
"I already told you the secret. Have you forgotten that there is something helping me do impossible things become possible?" I replied.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
Has she forgotten that she told me once about the power of vision? Can these abilities help me fight my enemies? Or she is just pretending not to know? I am not unsure that she knows about this thing, and she may just be testing it to see if I will tell her about it or not.
"Nothing, just forget about it. I'm only concerned with doing what you told me to do. My focus helped me to make impossible things become possible."
"That's good! I've never encountered a girl like you before. You are easy to train in how to perform magic."
"So, do you mean that you were teaching other people to perform magic before?" I asked.
"Yeah, there are many people that I tried to taught dark magic before, because I believed that they could help me go back to where I came from, but I mistook them, because they were very difficult to taught how to perform dark magic. I was lost of hope that there is no one who could help me and my husband to go back to the place of spirit, until I saw a girl—that was you—you are destined to become powerful."
"Maybe you are right, I can see the signs that I can become powerful, but you mentioned that you have a husband, so where is he?"
"My husband? Just like me, he was also searching for someone who can help him to go back to our world, I am also hoping that we can both get rid from the cursed and go back together to where we came from."
I can blame not Alicia, because it seemed that she and her husband have a hidden story if why and how they came in this world. I don't know if what I felt, but I am full of sympathy when I saw Alicia crying though there is not a teardrop that coming out from her eyes.
