EMILY'S POV 
  "Mum we got it" I and Vanessa both chorus as both our mums gave us nonstop pep talk about college, we arrived WSU some minutes ago but they won't let us go in cause of one little advice or the other 
"We wouldn't engage in any delinquent act, so there's no need worries and we'll definitely study, seriously mum we aren't kids we know what to do" Vanessa voiced put as the good child she seem to be 
 "Not all of us" I said barely audible, only Nessa heard me and she busted out a bit
"Vanessa darling, would you do me a favour and watch over Emily, you're clearly the responsible one and she could be a pain in the butt" My mum requested
"Seriously? I'm i some kinda dog or something?" I questioned faking annoyance 
"No problem Mrs Lopez, they won't be any trouble" She assured and we said our goodbyes, they drove off and we waved until they got out of sight
"Finally..." I exclaimed
"Thought they'll never leave" I groaned and it made Vanessa laugh a bit 
"Oh I'm sorry, i wasn't paying attention to where i was going" Nessa apologized to the guy she mistakenly bummed into her while laughing, he didn't seem angry though
"Nah, no problem, do you need a hand taking those upstairs?" He asked referring to the luggages totally Ignoring my presence
"No it's fine, i got it..."
"Nessa we need to go now"I interrupted her sounding a bit rude 
"Yeah i really need to..."
"Can i at least get your number? I'm chad" He interrupted her this time around but he was being pulled by a girl who stood beside him
"We need to go Chad, and sorry you two for his weird behavior, he acts like a total nutcase most of the time" The girl said and pulled him fully out of our sight
"Weird!!!" Vanessa commented
"Okay what was that?" O asked and faced her fully
"What was what?" She asked sounding oblivious
"It looked like you two were flirting with each other" 
"Seriously Mily? Flirting? Why would i do that, i was just being nice" She replied again
"Cause for a sec there, it looked like you forgot the agreement" 
"So i shouldn't be nice again cause we aren't gonna date them?" Nessa raised her voice a bit 
"Look, sorry for yelling let's just go unpack we're just getting here, it's too early to start a fight" Vanessa said again after some minutes of silence and we began climbing  towards our apartment which was in the third floor, we could've used the elevator but there was a faulty sign hung up there, so we used the stairs instead, our apartment was the second door by  the right.
   It was already getting dark outside and we both were tired from the arrangement, so we couldn't cook anything so we decided on ordering pizza and milkshakes which i was already heading towards the front door to collect
"Hi" I said to the tall blond guy who stood by the door with two boxes of pizza and a paper bag containing our milkshakes i presume
"Ok sign here" He gave me a small receipt for what we ordered
"Thank you" I took the stuff and was about heading inside when he spoke
"Please excuse me, did you just move in here?"
"Yea why"I asked almost Immediately like a snap 
"Nothing much, just that i haven't seen you around here before, that's all" 
"Well I'm here now" I replied and i saw him smile a bit, revealing some set of his white teeth
"Can i get your name?" He asked again but i was already getting pissed to answer, so i replied this instead
"Look dude, yoy came here to deliver pizza which you've done successfully, could you leave before the pizza gets cold?" I slammed the door at his face after saying that 
"Perverts" I muttered inwardly
"Who was that?" Nessa asked immediately she came into the sitting room 
"Oh, just our pizza, let's dig in" I said, leaving the other details behind
LOGAN'S POV 
 "You're locking up already?"
"Yeah, I'm done for today, i need to get some rest and i won't be showing up tomorrow either"
"Why's that?" One of the delivery guys asked
"I'll use tomorrow to prepare for school which is starting Monday, Fred's gonna come by to open up, besides it's his business not mine" I replied him referring to my older brother who left 'PIZZA LOUNGE' for me yo manage while he was away
"Okay then, goodluck with school" Kevin the delivery guy said and left
   As i drove down to my apartment, my mind drifted back to the last delivery of the night, i was about closing up when a call came in, i couldn't just ignore the call cause i was closing or cause no one was available to deliver it, rather i took it cause the location wasn't really far from the store.
  I was only trying to be friendly, did she really have to bitch out on me like that? Like I'm the cause of her problem?
 My apartment was quite and lonely as it has always been cause i choose to live alone, i don't know what fault Fred sees in me getting my own apartment but he never did approve it but i bought it anyways
"Hey Logan, you're done for the day?" Tiffany asked as i picked up her call
"Yea, i just got back"
"OK, well do you mind if we hang out tomorrow?" She asked again, but i didn't want to give her a straight answer, she's tryna make her feelings known to me but i don't really like her to be a girlfriend, i consider her just a good friend
"Urrrmmm I'm actually gonna be getting my stuff ready for school on Monday, you should do that as well"I replied
"Logan that wouldn't be a problem for me, i could do that once I'm back, since you'll be busy tomorrow, there's freshers party by 9 tomorrow, would you like to tag along?"She persuaded still 
"I'll think about it and if I'm free I'll be there but wait a sec, i ain't a fresher why then should i attend a freshers party?"i asked again
"Just for fun, and it isn't strictly for freshers alone or something" 
"okay, tomorrow then" I replied and hung up, immediately I dialed Fred's number to remind him of tomorrow
VANESSA'S POV 
  Today's sunday, everywheres bright and the air smells nice, I'm sensing it's gonna be a good day 
"Nessa you're up?" Emily poked her head through the bedroom door 
"Yea, just now" I replied her
"Good, come help me over here,i need a hand" She was busy in the kitchen 
"What's cooking?"I asked nonchalantly
"Nothing much, just preparing bacon and eggs" She replied
"Sounds yummy but i need to help myself to coffee first" I said and went over to make it 
  We stayed in all day doing one or two random things, not until evening when we decided to take a little walk, from there we went over to the convenience store to get some few things we didn't come with, then  i brought up a conversation
"When would we start job hunting?"
"Right Immediately we get our timetables, to know how our schedule's gonna be"
"Yeah that's true " I,agreed
"But why do we really need to get jobs, i mean won't that be more stressful for us combined with school work?" Emily tried talking me out of it 
"No doubt it would be tedious but look on the bright side, we're gonna be making extra cash to get what we want and don't forget too soon that I'm saving up for a car" 
"Oh right, you're actually correct"
"Hi excuse me" we were greeted by a girl as well got inside the store
"Hey..."
"Hello?" We both said simultaneously 
"You guys don't remember me? from yesterday?" She asked looking surprised as i tried refreshing my memory from yesterday if i could get anything but Emily beat me to it
"From yesterday? You were with that weird guy?"
"He's not as weird as he seemed, plus he's my freaking cousin" She said and dramatically raised both hands 
"He looked alot like a weirdo" I added which made Emily dramatically pointed at me 
"Coming from the same girl he tried he flirt with" Mily said to her 
"Anyways I'm Stephanie" She introduced
"Vanessa"
"Emily" we said in turns and kept staring at ourselves not knowing what you say
"So.... Should we shake hands or something?" Mily joked which left us with a smile 
"You guys are freshers i presume, there's a freshers party three blocks away from our apartment tonight, by 9 you'll definitely regret it if you miss" Stephanie said and grinned her way out
"Weird" i said 
"Looks like it runs in the family, anyways we aren't missing that party, so let's hurry and get back " 
"Agreed" i concur 
The party seemed okay, different adult kept drinking, some made out while some were at the corner playing some games, i just sat on one of the couch there with a drink in hand observing everywhere. I didn't actually want to get drunk so i kept an eye on Emily (like her mum said, giggles). 
There was a guy who seemed a little pestering to her, he kept trying to have a conversation but she never gave in, luckily enough she finally got rid of him and i saw her heading my direction afterwards
"Get up bitch let's dance, the party's fun" She said with a raised voice tottering, obviously drunk, i wanted asking about the guy cause she was in a drunken state, I knew she nat not give me a proper answer once she regain her sanity, so i just asked without giving a second thought
"It's just the pizza guy from yesterday who's tryna hit on me i guess, there's no big deal there" She replied a bit dazed.
