EMILY'S POV 
 "I got filled in on everything" i told Vanessa immediately she walked inside
"Filled in on what?" She asked looking oblivious
"Logan told me how your afternoon went in the mall and you guys hung out as well" I replied smiling 
"Gee, he's like what now? Your gossip mate?" 
"Cause he knew you wouldn't tell me, which is true by the way" I defended
"What time did he even had to blab it out, cause he just dropped me off few minutes ago" She asked looking hella surprised
"Well he told me 30 minutes ago, but that's not the main point here, what did the guy at the mall say to you?" I asked curiously
"Nothing you should know about Mily, i know you'll talk" She opposed
"Please just something, who would i even say a word to, huh?" I persuaded 
"His name's David, that's all I'm saying and oh, he thought we're like a mate or something cause he saw me getting that fruit you like, what's it called again ..."
"Loquat" i completed her statement
"Yeah that  and he asked for my number but i turned him ... Why the hell did i keep on talking" She cussed at herself but it got me laughing
"Don't bug me again Mily" She said sternly which was funny in a kinda way 
"awwww he thought you two were mates" I said laughing more
"Wait a sec Mily, i thought you hated guys, why are you like this towards them now?" Nessa asked 
"Like how?" I faked knowing what she meant 
"Logan for example, you speak with him more often than before and you totally left me in the dark, what's really going on between you two?" She concluded 
"The only thing i need to say right now, is that we need to go to bed, it's already past our bedtime and we need to work tomorrow" I said and hurriedly escaped to the bedroom
"MILY!!! Seriously, we don't even have a specific time for bed, you made me talk but you don't want to, that isn't fair you know" She yelled from the sitting room which made me roll with laughter, but seriously, nothing's going on between Logan and I though, i just wanted dodging the question.  
DAVID'S POV 
  "Mum I'm almost there, just wait a bit" i said through the phone
"Yes i got the stuff but i wouldn't stay for very long though, remember i told you I'm meeting with a friend regarding work" I reminded her on my way to the café  
"Okay okay, I'll be there soon, i can see the café from where I'm standing now "
   When i  got there, i saw how busy she was with orders  and all
"Mum..." I called to get her attention, when she turned i gave her a peck on her cheek 
"Looks like we have a full house today huh?" I rhetorically asked
"Got that right, you're gonna help right?"
"Sure i would, it wouldn't be fair leaving my Mum all stressed out like this, would it?" I assured which made her smile
  Half an hour later, the number of persons in the café wasn't suppressing again, so i had to leave
"Mum i think I'll need to leave now, Donald might be waiting" I said to her and was about making my way towards the front door when i heard the bell jingle, which meant another customer just walked in, but this time around it wasn't just any other customer, it surprisingly was the girl from yesterday mall, i had to go say hi but my subconsciousness reminded me that someone was waiting for me 
"Screw Donald, he can wait but this moment can't" I mumbled inwardly
"Mum, just one more order and I'll be off" I said to her while putting back on my apron and made my way towards her 
"Hello, good day, how can i help you?" I said with formality but maintained my toothy smile 
"It's you from yesterday right?" 
"Yep, two days in a row, looks more to me like faith don't you think?"
"Nah i doubt" she replied
"And if i could remember, you said you weren't giving your number out to a total stranger right?" 
"Yeah ..." She responded
"Well we've met twice, so we're basically not strangers anymore right?" I asked with a raised brow
"I don't think that's how it works is it?" She asked sounding gainstaying 
"Well if you don't feel like giving it out, I on the other hand won't feel like bringing your lunch, how's that?"
"Seriously? Is that how you work here, I'm gonna direct my complaint to your boss"She threatened but i only let out a chuckle in response
"What's so funny?" She asked looking surprised i wasn't afraid
"Well if you want to lay out a complaint you can just do it now"
"What are you the boss?" She asked with folded arms 
"Nope, but I'm her son, so i can pass down the information" I said again and kept staring at her
"Fine, just get me my lunch and I'll give you the number" She said finally giving in
"But just so you know, I only said that cause there's no good càfè around here and I can't waste anymore time" She clarified 
"You work here or something?" Came here question as i was about leaving
"Of cause not... Not like it's a bad thing working here, but it definitely would be weird working in your Mum's café right?" I answered
"Just asked cause you know, you're putting on an apron and serving tables"
"I just help out sometimes" I simply replied
"Okay, here's nice" She complimented and i went off to get her order
 I got her contact later on and waited around until she was done eating before i left to see Donald, if only he would still be waiting
VANESSA'S POV 
  The semester was coming to an end, I and Mily decided not to travel home for the break cause it won't be too long, instead we continued with work 
"Mily you're done with your project for the semester?"
"Not yet, by next week I'll turn it in, you?" She asked same thing
"Finished mine last week" I replied
"You go girl, and i know how taskful your department can be like" She complimented
"Thanks babe, you've seen Stephanie around?"
"Who?"
"Stephanie, Chad's cousin, you know, Logans friend" I asked persistently 
"Oh that Steph, yeah i saw her the other day in school, turns out she's in same department with Logan  but not same level" She replied 
"Figured, what about Kim, i barely see her again" 
"That question's supposed to be directed to you, cause you work with her remember?" Mily said 
"We don't have the same work schedule, and she's dating that Korean guy now, so that adds to it as well" 
"We'll meet him someday right?" She asked again
"Who?"
"Kim's boyfriend" She answered
"But you've already met with right? In school?" I asked as a matter of fact 
"Yea yea i know, i meant officially as her boyfriend" She clarified
"Sure we would, she said pretty soon"
"Looks like we're the only ones left behind huh?" Mily joked
"Of cause not, there're tons of single ladies out there" I joked as well 
"Remember Laura said the CEO's showing up next month, i wonder how her attitude would be like " I told Emily
"Yeah true,she might be like the assistant manager, very  bitchy" Emily said referring to Laura 
"Nope she definitely would be cool and easy going like Mr Robert" i said admist laughter from her previous comment
"What about the attitude of your little friend" 
"Who?" Emily asked confused
"You know, your nemesis from day one?" I recalled for her
"Ohh" She said in realization 
"Don't even get me started on Sasha, she's acts like a witch in human form " Emily said and it got me got me laughing seriously 
"She bugs me everyday like she was specially sent to torment me or something, anyways, what about you?"
"Me? Nothing much but i wanna say something, promise you won't make a fuzz" 
"I can't possibly promise to what i haven't heard" 
"Just promise, it's nothing much"
"Sure?" She asked and i gave her a nod 
"Okay fine, i promise" She finally agreed and i gave her the gossip on i and David at the café 
"Seriously babe, and you made me promise to that? hell I'm gonna break that promise, you gave him your number?" She asked surprised with a grin on her face
"Oh no, Mily you promised you wouldn't make..." God help me cause she's gonna kill me with questions.
