Sae regretted her actions that had hurt Ririka's heart. Even so, she felt that she did not always have to be sweet to the woman. For her, Ririka should realize the fact that she did have an inappropriate relationship with a man whose status was not as her husband. The incident this morning where she argued with Ririka. Made Sae feel a little disturbed. But she didn't want to spend her vacation time lamenting the previous incident. Sae decided to go out of her house. Taking a walk somewhere in her car and letting herself enjoy the surrounding scenery. Until finally, her eyes fell on a cake shop that caught her attention. Feeling interested in the cake shop. Sae went inside there. I don't know what wind made her enter the cake shop. But Sae didn't want to make a big deal of it, she let herself go inside. *** “Doctor Sae is that you?” A woman was seen walking towards Sae who was busy choosing a pastry. Sae noticed the woman who called out to her. She quickly recognized the woman. “Ah Kak Mira, nice to see you here. You don't have to be so formal when you call me outside,” Sae said kindly. Mira smiled at Sae who seemed a little surprised by her presence in the cake shop. “I'm sorry, Sae, I forgot that we were outside the hospital grounds. Besides, I'm used to calling you that everyday,” Mira said while shaking her head. Sae nodded casually. “It's okay, brother. How are you, not too tired from your busy work schedule lately?” Mira shook her head. “Oh, no. I'm fine. But I think I have something to tell you. Would you mind listening to it?” she asked with a serious look on her face. Sae's eyebrows shot up one side, curious. “Of course I don't mind. What is it that you want to say?” Mira sighed for a moment before answering. “I heard rumors in the hospital about your relationship with one of your patients. Some of the nurses made a fuss over it, and it seems to have caused a bit of chaos in the hospital. I'm sure the rumors must have caused you some distress.” “Oh, I see. I can't help but feel that the gossip is also quite troublesome,” she muttered softly, her expression turning slightly serious. “It's a little regrettable how there are many nurses talking about me like that in the hospital. It's even worse because the rumors circulated so quickly, to the point where my patients were also asking me questions about the truth of the rumors,” she said. Mira, who was listening to Sae's story, nodded in understanding. “Yes, I understand your situation. I even gave a reprimand to the nurse who is notorious for spreading gossip. I'm pretty sure those two haven't apologized to you yet.” Mira recalled the two juniors she had reprimanded for being caught gossiping at work. Sae could only sigh heavily. Understanding that people like that must always be hanging around making trouble. “It wouldn't be surprising how gossip always spreads quickly due to people like that,” she snorted. “I apologize on their behalf. As a senior I feel like I can't direct my juniors properly,” Mira said regretfully. “Never mind. You don't need to apologize. It seems like it's a hassle to have an ignorant junior. You must be overwhelmed with them.” “You're right. Sometimes my head hurts a bit taking care of those youngsters. My goodness my burden is beyond measure. If only taking care of those juniors could make some money maybe I wouldn't feel this depressed.” Mira put her hand in front of her forehead. Making herself look as if she was dizzy with her junior's behavior. After that conversation, the atmosphere became lighter between them. They started choosing the pastries they wanted to buy and laughed as they compared their choices. For Sae, meeting Mira at the pastry shop brought a pleasant bit of freshness in the midst of their boredom. While enjoying their pastries. Mira reopened the conversation with Sae. “Sae, I'm telling you this without meaning to demonize the person. But you should be careful with Violet. I know that you can avoid her. But after observing that woman for the past little while. I feel that Violet is becoming more suspicious. I thought she was already troubled enough with her obsession with you. But the addition of her suspicious behavior patterns makes me feel worried about you,” Mira said. Sae listened seriously to Mira's words about Violet. Her face became a little tense, but she tried to keep from showing too much concern. “I know enough about that. Thank you for the warning, Sister Mira. I'll be careful with her,” she said firmly, trying to maintain her typical calm demeanor. Mira smiled, but there was still a worried look on her face. “I just wanted to make sure that you were okay. You know, as a friend, I'm worried about you,” she said in a warm tone of voice. Sae smiled comfortingly. “I appreciate the concern you've given me. I'll take good care of myself.” Unfortunately, their conversation was interrupted by the ringing sound of Sae's smartphone. She pulled her phone from her pocket and looked at the new incoming message. Her eyes rounded slightly when she saw the content of the message sent to her. “What a hassle,” she muttered under her breath with dislike. Mira who saw Sae's reaction made her feel worried. “Did something happen, Sae?” she asked. Sae shook her head. “It's, um, nothing. It's just a work matter that suddenly came up without being asked. I had to leave right away to get it done,” she said quickly, trying to cover up her panic. Mira who saw Sae's hurried expression could only say this to her while giving a comforting smile, “well, just be careful outside. Don't get yourself hurt.” Sae nodded quickly. “Thank you, Sis. See you next time,” she said briefly before hurrying to leave the cake shop. Mira, who saw Sae leaving in a hurry, made her suspicions grow even stronger. She felt that there was something Sae was hiding from her. However, she didn't want to pursue Sae to interfere in her business. She chose to give her friend the space she needed, while praying that everything would be okay. Meanwhile, Sae walked out of the cake shop with quick steps, her heart pounding. She read the message on her cell phone once more, and the tension on her face grew. “Violet,” she muttered under her breath, trying to ease the anxiety surging inside her.
