20. Time to Take Action

“I was surprised that you could worry about me like this. Well this is indeed proof that you are different from her,” Ririka said with a pleased look on her face. “But of course, it makes me really feel happy that you're worried about me.”
Sae, who had missed Ririka terribly. Then pulled Ririka into her arms. “You just seemed to disappear after the fight that happened to us back then. I was worried about you but you didn't seem to care about it.”
Ririka just smiled in Sae's embrace that felt warm to her. She then patted the man's back intending to calm him down. “I'm glad to hear it straight from your mouth. Your words back then made me realize that I should have listened to you that our relationship couldn't last forever,” Ririka said.
Sae felt a deep sense of relief as she embraced Ririka. However, behind that relief, there was also pain over the ending they had chosen for their relationship. After a few moments of silence in the embrace, Sae finally released Ririka, but her eyes still looked at her longingly.
“Why did you appear suddenly like this, Ririka?” asked Sae in a hoarse voice, trying to suppress her anxiety.
Ririka took a deep breath before answering, her eyes sweeping the scene around her, trying to find the right words. “I... I need time to reflect, Sae. Time to understand what I really feel and what I need in my life,” she replied slowly.
Sae looked at her with an intensity that made Ririka's heart beat faster. “What did you find in your contemplation, Ririka?” she urged gently.
Ririka took another breath, trying to prepare herself to reveal something that might get them both hurt again. “I realized that we can't go on like this, Sae. We have to end this,” she said in a voice that trembled slightly.
Sae fell silent, her eyes showing deep disappointment, even though she had already foreseen this ending. “I know,” she said quietly, trying to refrain from showing how hurt she was.
Ririka cried softly, tears rolling down her cheeks. “I'm sorry, Sae. I'm sorry for bringing us to this,” she whispered, her voice hoarse with tears.
Sae tried to gently wipe away Ririka's tears. “We each have a responsibility for what happened, Ririka. We have to face it together,” she said regretfully.
They both hugged each other again, feeling the tremors of emotion that came over them. Although they knew that this was the end of their relationship, but at least they found peace in that decision.
No infidelity relationship story can ever really go smoothly. Sae was well aware of that from the beginning. But she was blinded by her own lust at the time, so she fell for the seduction to have a relationship with a woman who already had a husband.

“Did you hear the rumors?”
“The rumor about Doctor Sae having a relationship with his patient?”
“Yes. But did you know that Doctor Sae decided to transfer to a hospital in a small town. It seems like that rumor does have some truth to it.”
“Ah, that's too bad. Although I feel disappointed about the rumors, but somehow I feel sorry for doctor Sae.”
“You're right that the woman who was in a relationship with Doctor Sae should also, get her karma. I don't think it's fair that Dr. Sae is the only one getting into trouble.”
And that's about how the gossip continued to reverberate in the hospital. Really hearing such words would only make the ears burn.
“Gosh why don't those gossiping people ever stop those useless stories,” complained Mira who was sick of listening to those useless stories.
Mira herself was too lazy to reprimand the gossipers.
“I don't think I can stop the nurses' crazy talk anymore,” she said with her eyes glancing at Sae.
Sae only smiled slightly in reply to Mira. “Be patient Mira. And you know that goisp is bound to get even hotter, when they find out how it goes after this.”
A grumbling sound came out of Mira's mouth. “You arbitrarily chose to move to a small town. After this I'll just have to listen to the explosion of gossip about your move, I'm not sure I'll be able to get through this with patience alone,” she said lazily. “Damn it, why did you have to choose to move? Have you had enough of the gossip?”
“I just had enough of everything. So I chose to get some fresh air. Besides, a small town would suit me better,” Sae replied calmly. She seemed to enjoy how Mira seemed to object to her decision.
“Yeah... yeah. Just do as you please. I won't care about you anymore.” Feeling annoyed, Mira then walked ahead of Sae.
While Sae who was behind just chuckled. Well... her decision to move to a small town was that she wanted to find a new happiness. Her life in this city had been going pretty badly so she decided to find a breath of fresh air. Also, his relationship with Ririka had ended. There was no longer any reason for him to linger in this city.
“I think I've had enough of this,” he muttered as he exhaled heavily.

The day Sae had been waiting for had finally arrived. Today she would leave her old town to move to a small town.
Sae breathed in the morning air that still felt cold and cool. Before leaving in her private car. Sae was seen observing the surrounding scenery. Until finally she got into her car and immediately prepared to leave her old town.
Her life would continue in a much quieter small town. No more gossip that made his ears hurt. And the woman he loved the most, Ririka... was also gone. It was all over... but Sae found new happiness by going to live her life in a new place.
While driving her car. She enjoyed the streets that still felt quiet. The distinctive chill of the morning air was also still present.
“I hope I'll get new happiness after this,” she murmured. She smiled and the weight on her shoulders seemed to disappear instantly.
And this is how the story of a doctor named Sae ends. Where the man is ready to find his new happiness in a new city.
