episode 3

She paused and looked down; her feet were seized by the dark creature. Its darkness enveloped her feet, akin to water swallowing a possession.
"Haahh!!!" Her scream echoed eerily as she fought against the relentless grip holding her feet captive. Was this dark creature so fragile that she could release its grip? If so, it needed more workouts to be effective in the game.
The darkness coiled around her feet, dragging her mercilessly downwards until she crashed onto the unforgiving floor, a blood-curdling scream tearing from her lips, "Ahhhhhh!!" She and passed out. Was she dead? Still alive? I don't know just like you don't know.
The darkness wrapped her up and dragged her body into the darkest part of the house which is the downstairs.
The bulbs in the narrow corridor flickered back to life. The music persisted, now even more enchanting than before.
********
On the cold, hard floor, she fought to pry open her eyes, but the embrace of pain held her tightly, rendering her vision hazy. Each attempt to rise was feeble, her strength waning as she collapsed back onto the unforgiving surface. Crawling with her stomach pressed against the ground, her blurred vision caused the world to blur into pairs. A trickle of blood escaped from the corner of her forehead, a silent testament to her frailty in the face of adversity.
The pianist filled the atmosphere with pleasing sound, if non-living creatures had any opportunity then they would dance to it all their life.
Her breath burnt slowly just like a flame; In her struggle, the chair she crawled towards seemed to materialize twice before her, teasing her with elusive relief, she was confused about which one to touch and which one not to. She put forward her hand with full hope to grab the right chair but ended up falling back to the floor.
She wasn't enjoying the sound; it pained her brain, causing her distress. Why would she appreciate the music when it was harmful to her mind?
She surrendered her body to the floor for some seconds before attempting again, she put forth her hand again and it landed on the right one.
She put all her energy and balanced herself. her eyes were now clearer than before, she could see who was playing the piano.
The living room has a massive space, with different doors, and all the bulbs give light to the room.
The pianist was covered with a black cloak, backing her, the sound from the piano was still ascending and loitering the room looking for ear to please, the sound was not only looking for ears to please but a heart to assist. The pianist's fingers romanced the keys on the piano.
The birthday song added more pain to already existing pain, She pressed her fingers against her ears, her contorted face betraying the agony inflicted by the piercing sound.
"Stop!" she whimpered softly. "Please, stop! It's hurting me," she pleaded, her words laced with desperation. Her outcry didn't stop the pianist from playing the melody to her hearing.
"Stop!!!" she bellowed, rising from the chair and hurling it at the pianist. The chair crashed onto the pianist and tumbled to the floor, while the cloak descended and draped over the stool. But when she looked again, no one was there. Resting upon the cloak was a gift box.
The gift box was properly designed to the extent that the brain can never prevent the eyes from capturing the beauty of the box and the hand from touching, what about the leg? You know the brain makes the final decision in the human body. So the leg is left with no option but to obey. She is scared does that mean she should disrespect her feelings for fear? Never!
The piano was still playing the best birthday songs, the keys were still ascending and descending from its root.
With a dismissive flick, she removed her hand from her ear, recognizing its uselessness, and boldly marched towards the piano, She stood there, not just surprised by the sight of the piano playing, but also filled with a creeping fear about the unseen force behind it. her eyes were glued to the gift box. More questions came and more leaving her heart, like what's the content of this box? And why's this box so beautiful?
Hope it is worth her expectations. Cause i can't wait to know what's inside.
She put forth her shivering fingers, getting closer to the box, the piano stopped. She moves back within a blink of an eye.
she retraced her steps, extending her trembling hand as she put distance between herself and the piano, as well as the mysterious box. Such are the frailties of human existence, she thought, shaken by the unknown.
She managed and get hold of the box and pulled it to herself, she walked some steps away from the piano.
Put the box closer to her ear and shake it, her ear senses the sound of something inside, yes the sound does not only tell her something is inside but also gives her a strong urge to open the box.
She brought down the box from her ear and unpackaged it.
 Expecting something beautiful, isn't it?
She paused, the expression on her face needed time to detail what was inside the box. She dipped in her hand and brought out a white envelope, stared at it for some second, unsealed the envelope, and brought out the letter inside.
Flung it open.
"Happy Birthday, Sherry" was boldly written out, while reading, a smile splashed on her face, finally someone made her happy. She dipped her hand into the gift box to bring out another present, especially the one that made the heavy sound, she brought out a grey rope.
She examined the rope, it was an ordinary rope, what's the rope doing inside the gift box and what was the significance of the rope?
So what was making that sound earlier, don't tell me it was the envelope, cause there are different sounds to different objects. Stone can never downgrade its voice to the voice of a pin nor would a pin upgrade its sound to that of a stone.
She looked at the letter again, she was happy, she believed there was no need to be scared, with the intention that someone in the house was responsible for the games.
'Happy birthday to me !'
'Happy birthday to me!'
'Happy birthday to meeeee!'
She sang the birthday song and moved around the piano, such a beautiful night for her. She placed the letter on her chest and looked at it again. As she gazed at it with a beautiful smile on her face, a drop of blood landed on the letter, followed by another, her expression quickly shifted.
She looked up, and there, suspended in the air, was something ominous, lurking in the shadows. It was very big but looked smaller when viewed from the floor, it was dark at the top, so she couldn't see what it was but with the blood, she understood the creature had blood in its body.
