episode 2

The shock on her face was polished and nourished by what she saw on her phone; she refused to give in herself to the creepy and negative imagination loitering in her head.
She rolldown from the bed, her pink pajamas understood the moment. She switched on the light and also increased the brightness of the lantern. The room was more beautiful than what we saw without light.
She needed to figure out what was wrong with the time. She walked closer to the window and stared at the milieu, it was dark, dark but placid.
The frogs harmonized their melody, giving it a proper tempo. If it was a theatrical production then it wouldn't have failed to be categorized under the best chorus performance.
Her eyes were fixed on the church compound, why would she focus on the church of every other place around her? That's a question for the future. Following her sight scrutinizingly, one could tell she was focusing on the big church bell and not the church.
"Why is this bell not making the usual noise?" She asked. You and i know that the church bell is usually hit to communicate time especially 6 am, 12 am, 12 pm, and 6 pm which church service is usually held. Since it was already late what she expected was the bell to do its normal routine.
She shrugged and moved away from the window, sat on the soft bed facing the wall adjacent to her, the analog clock stared at her, if it was a living creature then i wouldn't mind saying there was a mutual connection between them.
The second-hand was rotating but for minutes and hours, it was not going anywhere.
She stood up from the bed and walked slowly to the wall, her eyes fixed on the clock, there was a strong connection between them, her steps tell everything, she was scared but there was something in her that restricted it from burning it out.
She brought down the clock and stared directly at it, everything was real nothing were illusory. She checked the battery, and it was okay, she removed the packing of the clock, and used her finger to rotate the minutes and seconds-hands to "12". She covered it and then hung it back and smiled.
She has won it, Yes, human believes in this popular proverbs that say "Only a human can win something and something cannot and can never win a human being." Yes, she has won the battle.
She turned. The clock hands tick, the sound from clock got her attention, she stopped, the bulb flickered, and within 20 seconds everywhere go dark.
She moved by spreading her hand, locating her way to the bed, she was extra careful while moving, she made sure her leg didn't hit anything that would lead her to fall. She placed her hand on something, pressed the button on it, brightness spread, quenched, and reduced the level of darkness in the room.
She turned with the torchlight, the ray landed on the wall clock, the astonishment on her face gave the best definition of the darkest night.
"The, clock? How?." She interpolated, her mouth opened, her hand lifted slowly pointing at the wall clock. The anachronic of the wall clock surrounded her with different questions but how could she ask when more is still generating in her head?
The hands of the clock reversed to 11:58 pm. She ambled to the wall clock with her body shivering she was scared but took all the incidents unserious.
Stare at it very worried.
The electricity was restored, and on the wall, there was a menace write-up or surprise package since it was her beautiful birthday.
"HAPPY DEAD DAY"
It was written on the wall with blood, it was creepier. She took steps back, her eyes on the wall, she stopped, Her left heel up.
The write-up on the wall pictures an imagination in her head, she was half scared and half confused.
"Who could do such a great presentation on my birthday?" She wondered.
She walked closer to it, she believed everything was a present for her birthday. She believes one of her family members is responsible for it.
She walked back to the wall and put her hand on the write-up, the color stained her palm, it was dark red and thick.
"Blood?" She pinned the rhetorical question on nothing.
The blood dripped down on the wall.
She felt cold. Earlier the room was warm but all of a sudden it became cold, she looked the windows were open.
She turned and moves, a little slight noise, she stop. There was a pleasing sound that stole her ear. With this angelic sound, her fear was drowned, suffocated, and buried.
The melody, harmony, and tempo were properly arranged, beat, and rhythms were used to resurrect the right feeling to every creature around. So if one creature was having bad sleep then consider it to switch to a good one and if lacking then consider it available.
She moved her body, flowing very well with the rhythms of the sound, the torchlight fell off her hand and landed on the floor. She dance towards the door, struggled with the knob, and pull the door but it refused to correspond
Her ears moved like a wild cat, and each step she took was choreographed.
The pianist played no other song but a beautiful birthday song.
"Happy birthday to you!!"
"Happy birthday to you!!"
"Happy birthday to you!!"
Tell me why she won't be happy, it's her birthday, the right song at the right moment.
As she danced through the corridor, the bulbs were turned off, she didn't notice, all she cared about was to get downstairs and appreciate the good work.
The sound ended, she didn't like how the song ended but she was back to herself, she looked around it, behind her was dark.
The bulb turns on, giving her the slight relief of her life.
She inhaled and exhale. The whole bulb in the corridor went turned off and left her in the center of total darkness.
She felt a hairy hand on her shoulder, she looked around very scared, her body trembling but nothing was behind her.
"Mummy!!!" She screamed out with a zenith pitch.
She moved in the dark, spreading her hands to signal the way to Mom's door.
The lights were back, but from the stairs down was very dark. She moved very fast to her mother's door,
"Mummy!! Mummy!!" she knocked very hard and struggle with the knob, her mom didn't respond i wonder if she was kidnapped by sleep.
A shadowlike hand crawled out from the stairs, and as the hand moved the darkness moved.
"Mummy!!" She pound on the door but to every disappointment there's a serious blessing, guess the blessing she received? It wasn't blessed at all,
She left the door and ran back to her door, grabbed the knob, she opened the door, she stepped forth her feet were not moving, she looked down, something was holding her right feet.
