episode 4

Her eyes fixed on the dangling object up on the top, and another drop of blood landed on her forehead. This made her step back, the grey rope clenched in her left hand, while the letter trembled in her right.
She shrieked at the sight of blood on her forehead and flung both the rope and the letter away from her in a frantic motion. Ran to the door, she paused. Her brain quickly remembered her it was dark outside. Then to her there's no different running from fire to volcano. She ignored the door and made a U-turn heading to the stairs, at least it will be safer in her room than the outside.
It seemed as if I the writer was witnessing different actions from what she was doing. She appeared to be running but not moving. How is that even possible? Perhaps I'm the one who's being terrified here. I wonder how long it will take her to realize that she's not budging an inch from where she was. After few seconds she noticed, she was only moving her body but not running.
Yes, what happened needs an explanation more than an explanation, how could she be running but not moving Isn't it worth a thousand questions? Sure it does.
Unexpectedly, the rope supporting the dangling object snapped, causing it to crash to the floor with a deafening thud. Startled, she stumbled backward in sheer terror. Sherry crashed onto the floor with a jolt, scrambling away from the fallen object. Tremors wracked her body as sweat drenched her skin in cold fear. The piano voiced out another melody, this time different from what it played earlier.
It was a human body,
She attempted to capture the victim's face, but it was obscured by blood and bruises. She dispelled the notion that everything was orchestrated within the house and now harbored the belief that the house was haunted by supernatural entities.
She never wishes for all these in her day but seeing them the night before her day is something she can't swallow or comprehend.
She scrambled to her feet and dashed towards the door, her heart pounding in terror. As she neared the entrance, a sudden gust of wind overwhelmed the house, violently flinging open both the door and windows. Pushed her back from the door. The entrance door slammed shut and bolted itself, but Sherry refused to relent. With determination fueling her, she charged towards the door, channeling all her strength to wrench it open. It didn't work, she tilted her body on the door and slid down slowly, her hands on her ear.
"Ahhh!! Go away!!" she screamed, tears streaming down her face in a desperate plea. She was hurt and locked down in the prison of fear.
The room was enveloped in an eerie chill, accentuated by the creaking of the open window. Each groan seemed to echo through the silence, causing her heart to race even faster in the gloom. She opened her eyes and looked around very scared.
Vultures swooped in through the open windows, their sinister silhouettes casting shadows over the room. With a cacophony of screeches, they circled the body on the floor, clawing at each other in a grotesque display of dominance. Only when their gruesome feast was secured did they finally descend on the floor.
With eerie cries, the vultures hopped around the body on the floor, tearing into it with their beaks and talons. The sight was revolting, nearly causing her to retch at the gruesome scene.
The body on the floor quivered as the birds pecked at its flesh. Feeling utterly helpless, she clasped her hands together and whispered a prayer for mercy, her heart heavy with sorrow.
Her eyes were tightly shut, her body trembled uncontrollably, and her lips quivered as silent prayers escaped.
She lifted her head when she heard footsteps coming down from the stairs, she looked with hope if it was her Mom or dad.
She set her eyes on the slippers walking down the stairs, nobody was wearing them, it was just a walking slipper. The crazy vultures freeze when they see the slippers, they crack and turn to dust.
She rose to her feet, eyes wide with fear, and grappled with the door, her hands trembling as she struggled with the stubborn knob, desperate to escape.
"No, please don't hurt me," she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear. With her knee on the floor, she faced the ominous figure of the slippers, begging for mercy in a desperate attempt to ward off impending harm. The slippers got closer to her, she prayed for death but the dead rejected her request.
Imagine an invisible force standing in front of you in a lonely house, then you will understand why she prays for death.
The invisible creature turned around and walked to the dining, she breathed in and sent out in great relief. There's something she didn't understand. Why didn't the invisible creature hurt her? Why did the birds just transform to dust after seeing the slippers?
The chair that rounded up the table made enough space for the invisible creature to explore the dining and after moving around, one of the chairs moved back that was the exact chair that the invisible creature with sleeper ended its walk.
"Who are you and what do you want?" she screamed defiantly from behind, determined to uncover the truth.
There was no answer, the silence she got scared her. Was the creature coming for her? This was one of the reasons behind her fear.
She heard another footstep coming down from the stairs, she looked, it was her father coming down from the stairs. He looked drunk, and as he lumbered down he was murmuring words, unlike him. He always behaved well so why was he behaving abnormally?
"Dad!! Help me this house is haunted!!"She hollered moving forward to him but was dragged back. He didn't listen to her voice he continued moving to the dining.
"Noooooo!!!!" "Let go of him. Don't hurt him, please," she watched her father walk down the stairs and move straight to the dining, he sat on the chair opposite the invisible creature.
