CHAPTER 17
I felt someone tap my cheeks so I opened my eyes. It was Scarlet. I saw the luggage beside the door. It seems, we are already arrived on the port.
“Milady, we are here”
I nodded at her. I started to bathe myself. Put on clothes, it’s the same design of the clothes I were to the beginning. But, this time a different color. A black corset same as the one before, the green long skirt and a white blouse.
After, I’m done. We walked towards outside. As soon as we are on the deck, I breathe the fresh air. I saw the scenery. Oh? All I see is the mountains. My provincial life has now started. I smiled from ears to ears. I’m excited to see the village where Scarlet lives.
“Let me escort you, young ladies”
“W….what are you doing?”
“Oh? My dear Scarlet, you missed me? It’s only a night that we didn’t see each other and yet, here you are panicking”
“No, I’m not”
I chuckled hearing them argue. I can’t help it if I saw a lovers quarrel instead of two strangers. I know that Scarlet still had some feelings for him but, she didn’t show it to him. Well, it’s up to them on how to worked their love life.
I didn’t notice that Amelia was already on the streets, waving at us. Isn’t she a little bit excited?
We climbed down the stairs to go where Amelia waving at us. Those two keep delaying it because they keep arguing to each other. It’s a love and hate relationship, I think.
“I will go to the village together with you, three”
“W..what? No way”
“That’s why, im on that ship right? To go home?”
“You’re not going with us”
I left them there. I keep walking to where Amelia is. We both admired the scenery that’s in front of us. There are no tall buildings. There is small establishments but, its only up to a two-store buildings. There are cabins, restaurants and café’s in the area. There are lots of people wearing different clothes and ethnicity.
“Why are there lots of different people in here?”
“This is a tourist spot. I’ve heard that the west had a lot to offer when it comes to the beautiful places. That’s why, most of the travelers visit here”
“I’ve never heard of that”
“When I was adopted. We studied the geography of the Empire”
“Oh?”
“And, I thought that we will go to the, East, sister?”
“I’m giving out false information to confused my kidnappers, I know they are still running around in the capital. That’s why I told all of the servants that I’m going to the east instead of the west because I know, it will spread outside"
“That’s why”
“Oh? Sir Sebastian, you’re here”
“Yeah, I’m going with you. Is that okay, milady?”
“No, don’t give him permission, milady”
“Why is that?”
“W…well”
“I think there’s no reason for me to declined, isn't it?”
Scarlet was pouting. I didn’t know she can act like this. All I know is that she’s a mature lady but, I was mistaken. She had a cute side, too.
I glanced at her. Sebastian was holding her luggage for her. How sweet is that? I noticed he keeps calling me Lady.
“Uhmm. Sebastian?”
“Yes?”
“Do you know my identity from the start?”
“Yes, I do. A certain someone told me that there’s a Lady on board without a guards with her. I didn’t believe it at first but, seeing Scarlet on board for the first time. It seems true”
“Who’s that?”
“Let’s just say your guardian angel?”
I laughed at him. I’ve got a feeling that if I insisted asking who is it, there’s not even a chance that he will tell me.
“Maybe, he will introduce himself to you, milady. Just wait for that time”
“Alright, I’ll expect that”
We walked towards the transportation area where, there are lots of carriages and coaches there. There are in different colors and sizes. Sebastian told us to wait in here, on the side of the street as he will handle all of the negotiations.
After he’s done. He walked towards us and told us to buy some foods and eat first because it will take us a couple of hours before arriving the village.
We stopped at one of the busy restaurants there is. Where it is near to the transportation area.
Sebastian told us that he let him eat first the coachman so that we won’t be delayed further and, we should be near at the spot where he will wait for us.
Sebastian guided us to the restaurant that it’s eat all we can so that, we will leave the place with a full stomach. It’s full of sea foods, it’s kind of a buffet. We can pick whatever dish at a fixed price.
After eating, we went to the sidewalks where the souvenir shops located. We bought an ample of snacks for us, for scarlet’s family and for the coachman in case, he will be hungry. We can't possibly be eating lively while the coachman is hungry. We walked to a certain place where the coachman waited.
“How many hours do we arrived there?”
“Oh? Five hours riding this coach and a couple of minutes riding a boat”
“You mean, after this we will ride a boat?”
“Yes, exactly”
“There’s a long way ahead”
"Indeed"
We entered the coach and were seated comfortably. Beside me is Amelia while across of me is. Scarlet. At first, she didn’t want to sit beside him but, Sebastian denied all of that.
I don’t want to delay our trip more than this so, I entered the coached first. Then, Amelia decided to sit beside me. Then that leaves the two of them.
I opened the window to see the scenery. The sun touched my cheeks as looked outside. The breeze smells like the ocean. I smiled feeling it.
When I heard the horse neigh and the coach started to move. From the bottom of my heart, I was excited for this journey especially, there’s one person added to our travel.
I can't wait to arrive there and live a provincial life.
