Chapter 20 Kairhara pov

I woke up to a white surroundings, realizing I was in a hospital. I got out of bed, and Butler Kin was there.
"Water, please," I said, feeling an unusual thirst.
"Young Lady, I'm glad you're awake!" Butler greeted me.
"Tsk, did you hear? I'm talking to you, tsk," I snapped at Butler Kin, expecting him to have common sense.
"I'm sorry, Young lady!" he apologized and bowed.
"Butler, get me some water..."
"Okay, wait—I'll get some water!" he said and left. When he returned, he handed me the water.
"How many hours have I been sleeping, Butler?"
"You haven't just been sleeping for a few hours, Young lady. You've been asleep for three days, and I'm happy you finally woke up!" I was surprised; I slept for that long?
"Okay," I asked him if he found out who did this to me.
"Not yet, but I'm investigating. Don't worry; I'll let you know once I find out!" I nodded. Whoever you are, be ready for me.
"Young Lady, are you hungry? What do you want to eat?" Butler asked, but I wasn't really hungry.
"I want to go home," I replied. I needed to start gathering information. Someone has been threatening me for days. I can't just sit here and do nothing.
"But—Young Lady, you're not well yet. Your wounds might open suddenly," he expressed concern.
"I'm totally fine now, Butler. And I don't care. Whatever happens to me, I can't just sit here!" I insisted, annoyed. I've said what I needed to say.
"Young Lady, I'm worried about you. Don't think about finding them. I'll take care of everything!"
"Butler, I already said what I needed to say. You know me," I told him. He sighed.
"Okay, I'll pay your bill now." He bowed.
"Does the Old man know about this?" I hoped he didn't. He's more dramatic than Butler.
"I haven't informed Master Kyoger yet." I sighed in relief; at least he didn't tell him yet.
"Good."
"Young Lady, excuse me. I'll go out to settle your release papers!" I nodded. When he returned, I prepared myself. My wounds still hurt, but I couldn't stay here for long.
Once outside the hospital, I didn't use my car. I hailed a van instead. When I arrived home, I went straight to the computer room. I missed this room; it's where I usually hang out when I'm at home. I turned on the computers and checked the records of the hidden cameras on my body. Yes, I always have a camera on me. Especially when I found out that someone was following me, I discreetly placed a small device in my ear to capture everything. I grinned when I saw a suspicious figure. As I watched the video, I took my gun from the drawer and cleaned it. It seemed like I could use this now. It's my turn to take action. Let's see if they can escape this time. I grinned and lowered the gun when I felt hungry.
"Butler, bring me food here in the computer room!" I spoke through the speaker connected to every corner of the house. I waited, started the computer to gather more information.
*Butler Kin's POV*
This young lady is truly rebellious, always has been. I've settled her bill for her to leave the hospital. I didn't inform her grandfather yet; I wanted her to be the one to tell him. He doesn't like being preempted, and when he gets mad at you, you won't want him to be mad at you again. Nothing good comes out of it. When I finished the payment, I went back to Young Lady's room, but she wasn't there. I found her sitting on the bed, deep in thought. I've always felt sorry for Young Lady. Instead of enjoying life, she spends her time collecting information to find the one who killed her parents. I know all of this because I've been taking care of her since she was a child, even when her parents were still alive. I regret leaving their side that day; maybe if I stayed, I could have protected them.
"Young Lady, everything is settled!"
"Good," she replied, and we left. I followed her into the van I prepared.
While driving, I observed her from time to time. Every time I look at her, I feel like taking away the pain she's feeling. If only her parents hadn't been killed, maybe I would see her happy like this. But there's nothing I can do; the past has happened. All I can do now is support her and not leave her alone in everything that happens, as I know I'm the only one who truly understands what she's going through.
"Young Lady, everything is okay now!" I assured her.
"Good," she said and left the van when we arrived home.
Upon entering, she went straight upstairs, and I headed to the kitchen to prepare food for her. She had been in the hospital for several days, and it's impossible that she's not hungry. When I finished, I heard through the speaker that she asked for food in the computer room. I wasn't surprised. I brought the food to her, and she was there, holding a picture that, I assume, is her family picture.
"Young Lady, here's your food! Are you okay?" I asked her, and she wiped away her tears, looking at me seriously. I placed the food down.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, Young Lady!" I bowed and excused myself. People might think she's cold and indifferent, but the truth is, there's not a day or night that I haven't seen her cry. I feel sorry for her, and I'll do everything to help her seek justice.
