Chapter 14

I hang out under the tree, my favorite spot. It's cool and quiet, making me feel safe. At lunch, Mondragon bumped into me at the cafeteria, spilling juice on me.
"Oops, sorry, didn't see you. My eyes got blurry from your flirtation!" Mondragon shouted, about to slap me when Shadow intervened.
"Hurt her, and I will f******g kill you," Shadow warned coldly. Mondragon was taken aback, and I couldn't help but think he deserved it.
"But—" Before Mondragon could finish, Shadow pulled me to their VIP seat. Annoying guy, always approaching me.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Nothing."
"If that's all, I'm leaving..." I tried to go, but Shadow held my hand.
"Have your meal first..."
"No need to tell me that; I'll eat because I'm hungry!" I replied, then went to order. After eating, I went to the room, but the teacher wasn't there yet, so I decided to nap.
During break time, people scattered, and I was irritated to find someone watching me again. Can't they leave me alone? The girl introduced herself as Keysel, wanting to be friends, but I coldly rejected her.
I sat alone, annoyed, and she kept following me. I ignored her until Shadow's group entered the cafeteria, causing a commotion.
Mondragon claimed Shadow as his "husband," but Shadow didn't reciprocate. The scene amused me, and I left. However, Keysel persisted, introducing herself again, but I shut her down.
Frustrated, I went to the garden, but Keysel followed, bringing my leftover food. Irritated, I climbed a tree, hoping to get rid of her. When I woke up, she was gone.
Later, I encountered Shadow outside. He claimed to be loitering, and when he asked why I was still there, I brushed it off. As I walked home, I noticed he was still following me.
"Are you following me?" I asked.
"No."
"Tch..." Tch, he's annoying.
*Shadow pov*
"Babe, pay attention to me!" Mondragon kept bothering me. Tch. She's so flirtatious, following me relentlessly since earlier. She even grabbed my arm, but I quickly removed it, geez, she's annoying.
"Ouch! Babe, why are you like that? Don't you love me anymore?" What the heck? Love? When did I say I love him? She's assuming too much.
"What did you say? Love? What the hell, mother f*cker? Seriously? When did I say I love you? Just so you know, no matter what you do, I'll never love you!" I shouted, letting her embarrass herself. I hope she feels ashamed of how she, as a woman, acts towards a man. I left her standing there, going out of school. It's getting boring, and that girl adds to the annoyance. What a pain, tch.
"Shadow! Wait," I turned my head to my group.
"What?" I asked, annoyed.
"Where are you going?" Lay asked.
"I'm going out," I replied tersely.
"Take us with you! We don't feel like eating, Mondragon's group is annoying. Always bothering us, thinking they're pretty, tch. They look like ducks!" Clarence complained. He even said everything I did to avoid Mondragon, yet she keeps bothering me, tch.
"Dude, they're so attention-seeking And they're not even pretty, their faces are so ugly!" Lay added, even though he's a bit of a womanizer. He doesn't like one of Mondragon's lackeys, probably because they're so flirtatious.
"That's true," I just replied and invited them to the principal's office. We need permission to leave; otherwise, our allowances might be cut.
We entered the Principal's office without knocking. Even my mom was surprised by our sudden arrival.
"What do you need, and why are you here?" Mom asked. She's the principal here and in charge. We're not the owners of this school, I don't know who is. Since my mom is the principal, we're allowed to leave through the main gate, as long as she knows.
"We're leaving school," I replied calmly.
"What? Why? What will you do outside?" She asked in bewilderment. Tch, I don't like her asking too many questions.
"You don't need to know, just let us go!" I said irritably, she just laughed and nodded. I turned away and left the principal's office, followed by the three. We're going to Underground Motor Racing to kill time. I'm in a bad mood today.
We rode his motorcycle, our motorcycles behind us, heading to the underground race field. When we reached the entrance, we were asked for an entrance card. I'm the racer in this underground circuit who hasn't been beaten yet. As we entered, I immediately saw the motorcycle I always used.
"Boss, your motorcycle is good to go!" the guy who checked my motorcycle said.
"Good," I replied curtly and grabbed my motorcycle. I still checked it, just to be sure there's no bomb planted. I'm just being cautious.
Everyone got ready, including my teammates and the other competitors. I got on my motorcycle and waited for the signal to start.
"Players, start your engines!" I started, ready for the acceleration. "Ready! Get set!" We revved our engines, and everyone was excited for the race to begin. "Bang! Go!"
I accelerated as fast as I could, but a red motorcycle was catching up. How is this possible? I thought. I accelerated even more, but it kept up. We were neck and neck; no one wanted to lose. It seemed like it was just the two of us racing; others couldn't catch up. I wondered who was on that red motorcycle. A few minutes later, I realized I couldn't shake it off.
A few more minutes passed, and the red motorcycle was still not giving up. It got closer, tailing me. As we approached the finish line, we both went full speed. A few more minutes, and I was getting farther, but it still didn't give up. I wouldn't let it beat me, so I accelerated even more. We were close to the finish line. I sprinted, not caring about the red motorcycle; I just wanted to win. I saw the finish line in a few minutes, but the red motorcycle was still behind me.
When I crossed the finish line, the red motorcycle did the same.
"The winner is nothing! This match is a draw! That's amazing!"
As I got off my motorcycle, I waited for my teammates to arrive. When they did, they immediately congratulated me. I didn't feel irritated because of the draw, but I didn't want to compete with that person again next time.
"Nice bro! You're amazing!"
"Who could be on the red motorcycle? She's great. Imagine your match ending in a draw!" Clarence praised.
"She's amazing," Ice added.
"How did you know it's a girl?" Lay asked.
"It's obvious."
"Whoa! Cool, you can now identify a real girl. You're a man now!" Lay teased. I didn't even know she was a girl, tch.
"Should I go to mass?"
"F*ck you!" Ice, the second runner-up in the race, said. We were the first runner-up because there was no winner between the two of us.
When I got my prize, a brand new motorcycle, I couldn't see the face of the person on the red motorcycle because they didn't take off their helmet. I'm curious about who that person is. They said we need to compete again next time to determine who's truly better. I'm excited about it, next time, I'll make sure I win.
