I walked, and I bumped into Mr. Montimayor's group along with four others. I was about to pass by when he grabbed my arm. "What?" I asked in a cold voice. "You think I forgot what you did to me," he said. "So what? I don't care, let me go," I said, still cold. "Don't mess with me, Ms." I raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I'm scared! Will you let me go, or should I cut off your hand?" I said coldly, seeing him swallow nervously. He seemed uneasy just from my appearance. "I-I won't..." he stuttered. "Don't try me, Mr. Montimayor," I warned, smiled at him, and then quickly punched the arm he was holding. I grabbed both of his hands and forced them behind his back. "Ouch! Stop it! It hurts!" he shouted. His companions were about to intervene, but when I looked at them with a piercing gaze, they hesitated. Instead of helping their leader, they just watched in shock as I continued to restrain him. "A----ouch!" "Tch. Weak," I said and left them. I headed straight to the room; it was already the second subject, cutting the first one. Once in the room, I entered without knocking. "Ms. Konaide! Why are you late? It's too early for the third subject?" the teacher scolded. "So what?" What's wrong with these teachers? It's just common sense, right? Late is late, isn't it? "Ms. Konaide, you're late, and you're being disrespectful. Have some humility! Is that how your parents raised you?" the teacher asked, irritating me. I just ignored the teacher's words and left. I didn't feel like attending the class. Due to the arrogant comment of my teacher, painful memories resurfaced in my mind. *Flashback* I was a few years old when Mommy said we were going to the mall. I was super excited because I didn't have much joy in my life back then, except for going out. "Mama, I'm excited to go to the mall!" I happily exclaimed while getting dressed. After dressing up, I asked Daddy to carry me. "My beautiful daughter, what does my baby want?" Daddy asked cheerfully. "I want a Teddy Bear!" I replied happily. "Tch. Such a baby, Lil Sis!" my brother commented, probably because he had no gentleness in him. "Spoiled brats..." another brother commented. "Hey, relax! Leave your sister alone! Let's go!" Mommy invited. But just as we were leaving the house, some men arrived, all dressed in black. I remember an old man with a tattoo on his neck that resembled an animal. "Where are you going?" the old man asked. "Maybe you can take us with you?" he added, pointing guns at us. "Please, don't involve my family! They have nothing to do with this. Let's talk without my kids!" Daddy pleaded, as I was only five years old at that time and didn't understand everything. "We have nothing to talk about!" the old man said and laughed, then suddenly there was a gunshot. Daddy fell, and my Mommy cried a lot. I had no idea what was happening. "Daddy!!!" my brothers screamed and hugged Daddy. Meanwhile, I just stood there, crying. I couldn't understand what was happening. Why were we crying? "Please, don't involve my kids! Take me instead!" Mommy cried. "This wouldn't have happened if your husband followed my instructions," the old man said. "Just take me, not my kids, please! Kids, run away!" Mommy pleaded, but I couldn't move from where I stood. I couldn't move my body. "Why aren't you running, Mommy..." "Mommy? Why did they kill Daddy?" I asked, still standing in the same spot. "Kairhara, you won't understand now. But when you grow up, you'll understand everything. Now, run away, leave me! Don't be stubborn! Remember, no matter what happens, Mommy loves you all..." Mommy said, hugging us. "No, Mom! I will never leave you!" I cry and cry, I hate this. "Mommy, no! I'll stay here! "Pleasehave mercy! Don't kill our mommy!" my brother shouted. "Are you done?" the old man asked, and again, there was a gunshot. My Mommy slowly let go of us. I couldn't comprehend everything. But I knew Mommy was gone. I wanted to fight back. But how? What could a child like me do? I just cried and cried while running away. I wanted to give up on running, but I still forced my body to keep running, even though I had no assurance if I could escape "Mommy..." I said while I'm crying. I don't understand much, why is happening. After a while, I felt an overwhelming fear. A car stopped in front of me. I just stood there, slowly losing sight due to exhaustion. I woke up in a room, not knowing where that is. All I feel right now is that I am safe. But my parents, they're gone.
