Last night was all about thinking on my next move, from every angle I have planned to positively push myself, I always reach a dead end, how can I make this possible?, The drawbacks I have gotten from each visit I made to their house always stung, yet I get back up to try again, but this happening for a third time?, I don't know, maybe I should just focus on my Life and leave him alone to do whatever it is he wants.
All I want is to install that mindset back into his head, I know what David can do, when it comes to mindset and determination, whenever David makes up his mind, that's a goal to chase after, at least that's the David I once knew, but I hope if by God's grace I can get that mindset of Uncle Dale's inside his head, he will pick up the trail and chase after the finish line.
Should I go again or am I just making a new mess that I can't fix in the near future?, I heard what his mom said when we were sitting inside their house, she said I was the reason Uncle Dale is locked up, the way she said those words, it looks like they have had that conversation before, if David ever agrees to that completely, then I don't think he will ever see me as a brother again, it looks like he's under a spell or something.
The only one I believe can get him out of this mess is in jail and still have long years to serve, I am not yet so rich to bail him out from those long years and the more time he spends in there, the more David is getting lost, maybe I should focus more on my career and make quite some lots of money so that I can bail him out from the prison and give him that chance to get my brother back on track.
I called my manager, told him that I will be available from the coming week and ready to put in every effort to make a lot of money within a year, maybe things can get better before a year is over, I will leave David to his path and hope that in 365 days time from now, Uncle Dale will be a free man and drag his son by the ear, get him running again, that's what only him can do.
“ Hey uncle Dale, it's me again... Jones!”, I said with a smile, looking at his face, he was just smiling back at me, looking quite happy to see me again, guess this time he won't ask what I am doing here, he already knows that I am stubborn enough to stay back and fight to put things right.
“ About what I came for last time Uncle Dale, it's not going on my favor, I have tried, put in the effort, pushed beyond my real behavior and automatically became a pretender, but no it's all in vain, it's all a wasted effort, I have tried all I can but I can't seem to do this right, I am running out of options ”, I said, I can feel my sight getting blurred, tears on its way to an escape.
Uncle Dale stood from the chair where he sat opposite me and headed back inside. What is going on, why is he walking away?, I stood from my seat and ran after him, holding his arm.
“ What's wrong Uncle Dale?, Why are you walking away?....”, I asked him confused. He just looks at my face with those intense stare. “ I was told my son Jones came to see me, but on getting here, I didn't see Jones, he never came, just another boy who came to complain to me about his inability to get a job done ”, he was about to walk away again when I held his arm, holding him back for the second time.
“ I just understood how foolish I have become, it's my fault, instead to continue with my fight, I backed off, only to come give compliants, I really messed up Sir.... I will fix this ”, I left his arm, eyes staring into his as I clean away the tears trying to escape.
He smiled, the smile reaching his eyes, “ And now this is the boy I recognize, Jones Williams, the boy I got illegally and would make the same decision again even if it lands me in the jail again.... Here's what you've to know son, before you quit, think of the reason why you started on the first place, see you soon Willy...”, he walks away.
Driving back to my home, I can't believe myself that I made this journey to the prison to see Uncle Dale only to give him complaints, what was I even thinking?, That he would welcome my complaints in and then give me words of motivation?, Such a pity that I just pulled this move, Jones Williams trained by Uncle Dale was never this pathetic, seems like my mental health is going down and I have to begin working on it again, this mistake I will never get myself to do again.
I almost disappointed Uncle Dale there, if not that he reacted to it, I wouldn't have known. There's a huge difference on his body, looks like he's losing some gains and muscle mass, he's lean and looking sick, his movements wasn't showing that though, he was as agile as always, I guess he's that way because he's in the prison and there might not be many equipments like that of his he used to workout with, even If there is, they are possibly not eating the number of nutrients his body requires.
Like Uncle Dale always says, he doesn't care whether it's the right decision or wrong decision, as far as you take the responsibility required, you have his respect.
