I woke up with the sound of the alarm buzzing in my ear, I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was the ceiling above me, looking at the piece of art done above me, really admiring and something you always to wake up to seeing.
I got up because I have to, not because I want to, If I was to lie down on the bed, I could, but that's the total opposite of the lesson I was taught last night by David, Men shouldn't stay comfortable in one spot, I stayed on the bed for hours, now's the time to change my position, and when I mean position, I mean even my mental state too, I owe an apology to someone important, someone I should never have messed with.
“ Good morning Uncle Dale.... I'm sorry for the things I have done for the past few days and I have come to you to apologize ”, I said, standing right before him while he was already preparing some food for breakfast, he already paused what he was doing when he saw me walk in.
“ I hope you are not planning on changing your mind son?, Because I was already thinking you are worth the man I thought you are, you apologizing for making a decision is so disappointing son.... ”, he said, his stare intense, having exactly the same look on his face like that night.
“ No Uncle Dale.... Right now I don't care whether you are disappointed or not, the decision was mine to make, whether I change them or not have nothing to do with you unless I asked for your help, my decisions are my responsibility Sir, I know I am sounding disrespectful Sir, but making the wrong decision which will affect my future is more disrespectful to me than anyone else.....”, I protested, eyes looking into his, trying to stand on what I think is right for me.
“ So challenging me is your best decision then, look like Jones here has lost all fear he was trained with....”, he said, it was a sarcasm, he wasn't trying to compliment me, he's seeing me now as an opponent, a level I have never dreamed myself in.
“ I'm not trying to be disrespectful to my elders because I was taught it was a sin, but leaving under the same roof with you, I have learnt that a man lives by his decisions and changing them to make things right is still his responsibility, whether late in the night or early in the morning, the result will still be the same as far as it's a decision he's willing to fight for!...”.
I'm not yet good with my words or showing anger, but I know that Uncle Dale doesn't care about your decision as far as the end part of it is you accepting to take the responsibility of your actions. He taught me to look him in the eyes when I speak but he never told me to do wrong with it, he's giving me power and authority to see what I will make out of it, I don't know where I will be going with the knowledge I acquired from him, but seeing that he treats David the same way and David turned out to be someone he is today, that's when I know that following his path wasn't the wrong decision, instead the result I produce shows what I have learnt from all he has taught me.
“ How come did my boy become a Man over night, challenging me right on my face?....”, his voice were a bit calm this time and I can sense someone was at the door to the kitchen, probably David.
“ I would have said all thanks to you Sir because I learnt it from you, but looking at it, you haven't sat me down and gave me advice on what to do and what not, I have realized that I was the one who trained myself by what I have seen around me and some guidance from your son, it's all thanks to me Sir, I became a man on my own will....”, I replied him, a total different person from who I was when I crossed the door to the kitchen to meet him.
“ To continue staying in my house, you will have workout in the gym at least three times in a week, that's my condition....”, he turned around and continue with preparing breakfast, I went behind him and hugged him from the back, my hands going around his abdominal, “ The greatest blessing I got in this Life is living with you Sir....”.
I spent the whole weekend in the gym, trying to bring back the muscle mass I have lost since the past two weeks I never hit the gym, I really can't believe what happened between me and uncle Dale, how on earth did I stood up to him?, He was the owner of the house but he teaches us to mark our territory by our own, if we can't fight for it, then we don't deserve it, I might have sounded disrespectful that morning, but that wasn't what he was looking out for, he was trying to see how much of a man I have become, how good I can take responsibility of my decision, how well can I protect myself.
He was disappointed in me because I changed my mind on leaving after I told him I will, the most confusing about him is that you can't detect him or what he's thinking, he's like a lion guiding his pride, after teaching his sons, they're been sent away to go take responsibility of themselves. 
David also gave me a hug after I left the kitchen, that was the first time I saw him cry, something I never believed someone as strong as he was can ever do, crying because I decided to stay back when he never cried knowing I was leaving.
