Chapter 106: Angered
The others remained essentially unresponsive, just watching as one of their comrades was knocked unconscious. The movements of the opponent were clean and precise, seemingly extraordinary at first glance. With Angelet's knight-like speed, bullying these individuals was as easy as crushing a few ants. After several continuous clashes of flesh, all five ruthless thugs lay defeated on the ground, each groaning in pain. "Bring out all your money," Angelet demanded from the man at his feet, who happened to be short on small change. "Do you know who we are? How dare you attack us!" The aggressive leader glared at Angelet. "Regardless of who you are, you're not my match right now," Angelet calmly stated, delivering a powerful kick to the leader's back. "Ahhhh!!" The man screamed and instantly turned into a curled-up ball. Simultaneously, the black leather fanny pack on his waist was kicked away by Angelet. Bending down to pick up the bag, Angelet opened it and searched through its contents. Several gold coins, some silver coins, miscellaneous items, and two earthy yellow balls that looked peculiar, like small mud-made eggs but the size of regular eggs. Angelet also noticed that the gold coins here seemed much lighter compared to the ones in his hometown. They were also smaller. As for the two earthy balls, Angelet took one in his hand and squeezed it. "Huh?" He suddenly realized something was off. The earthy ball in his hand had a smooth surface, a yellowish brown color, emitting a faint fragrance of flowers from the top. When squeezed, it felt very firm. But what surprised him was the scent coming from the top. "It can't be this fortunate..." Angelet was a bit astonished. "Zero, analyze the scent on this ball and compare it with similar information from the database." "Task established, comparison initiated." After a few seconds, the comparison results from the chip appeared. "The materials with similar scents are as follows: corn 94%, Long Grass 79%, Dragon Scale Flower 71%, and Lizard Scale Flower 13%." "Indeed... It really has a scent similar to the Dragon Scale Flower... There must have been these flowers growing nearby, used as the main ingredient for crafting spirit-enhancing potions." Angelet displayed a satisfied smile. "And what's in my hand is a corn, already recorded in the database." Looking down at the enraged leader glaring at him, Angelet found this person oddly amusing and endearing. Despite feeling joyful inside, Angelet maintained a calm expression on his face. "Where did you get this?" He asked, holding up the corn. "I'll tell you, daring to mess with us, our boss..." One thug on the side shouted. Angelet's face darkened as he kicked the thug's head forcefully, sending the man out of the shop, rolling a few times before lying motionless on the ground. Blood slowly trickled down from his head, and it was uncertain if he was dead or alive. No one dared to speak now. The leader's face showed a trace of fear. He looked at the corn in Angelet's hand. "This was found by one of our people in a bag." "In that bag, there's a small flower with black and white petals, right?" Angelet asked. "Yes! Yes, that's right!" The leader nodded frantically. "Give it to me." Angelet said, pleased but still composed. "It's not on us; it's still in our place..." "Everyone, get up and lead the way." Angelet glanced around at the people on the ground. To ensure safety, he couldn't afford any mistakes. If someone slipped away and reported back, it would create unnecessary trouble. As long as Angelet had the most elusive ingredient like Dragon Scale Flower, the remaining ingredients wouldn't be hard to find. When the time came, he could prepare a concoction to enhance his mental strength, at least shortening the time needed to advance in his three-tiered magical studies. Even advancing to the third tier, mental strength could be rapidly increased. If there hadn't been a teacher who had brought out the Dragon Scale Flower as an example during the academy class, Angelet wouldn't have recognized its smell. But with the chip, as long as it appeared in front of him once, no matter what it was, its traces could be found and identified through very subtle clues. Encouraging these thugs to stand up from the ground and, with the help of someone supporting the unconscious thug, Angelet took his most important bag from the horse and walked deeper into the alley, led by the leader. Not long after walking up and down the alley for over half an hour, the group reached the entrance of a dark alley. "Inside, that's where I live," the leader said in a low voice. No one was around, not far away were some pale-faced girls, and the chaotic singing of drunken people could be heard. The ground was dark, accumulated dirt of unknown duration; it crunched underfoot, with a sour smell lingering in the air. "Let's go, everyone inside," Angelet said expressionlessly to the leader. A cautious group was lured into the dark alley. In no time, he turned into a small house. Angelet followed the leader, watching him retrieve a small bag from the messy bedroom. When he took it out, a small white flower with black stamens appeared in his hand. "This is perfect!" Angelet's eyes sparkled. "Is this what you wanted...?" The leader cautiously looked at Angelet. "Give it to me." The leader suddenly looked behind Angelet, his eyes widening in fear. Angelet reflexively turned around. But nothing was found; only a soft chewing sound echoed in front of him. When he turned back, the leader was stuffing the flower into his mouth, chewing each petal vigorously, and swallowing hard. A self-satisfied smile appeared on the leader's face. "You son of a b****!" He cursed and stepped back. "Kandilin, kill him!" "Bam!!" A figure suddenly rushed in through the window and headed straight for Angelet. Seeing the Dragon Scale Flower being eaten by the leader, Angelet felt his mind go dizzy. What was joy turned into a raging flame of anger. "No!! My Dragon Scale Flower!! You damn dog!! Filthy insect!!" He felt the blood vessels on both sides of his temples about to burst. "How dare you... how dare you!!!" For the first time, Angelet was furious. Dragon Scale Flower!! It was a valuable item even for an official witch, a flower that could be used until he advanced to a full-fledged witch. It was a top-grade material worth thousands of magic stones!!! This was a tremendous opportunity!!! He felt an extreme pain in his heart. Seeing his precious about to fall into his hands, the unexpected betrayal from the person he had treated with respect infuriated him. And the person suddenly rushing in, the chip even failed to detect him. His hidden rage was almost perfect. In his rage, Angelet's eyes suddenly lit up with countless green lines. "You... will all die!!!" "Initiate the extermination plan, enhance sensory perception, display the global terrain... start locking down..." A cold, mechanical voice suddenly echoed in Angelet's mind.
