Chapter 112: City lord

Angelet naturally agreed comfortably.
The two walked into the castle one after another.
The remaining guards followed closely on both sides of the escort, Jerak and another white-armored knight guarded the sides of the wheelchair of the city lord.
As Angele stepped through the entrance, he heard the sound of a horse approaching from behind.
"Father! A distinguished guest has arrived. Why didn't you inform me? It's almost impolite!" A young man's voice reached everyone from behind.
Angelet turned around and looked.
A blond man was walking towards him with a smile on his face. His face was handsome like that of a woman, with fair and smooth skin, devoid of any blemishes.
At this moment, he was hastily walking towards the castle, followed by a group of soldiers.
Observing the appearance of this young man, it seemed like he had jumped off the horse even before it came to a complete stop. He hurriedly walked towards Angelet.
City Lord Alf's face stiffened for a moment, then immediately returned to normal.
"Son, I just got to know about Mr. Angelet today; I couldn't notify you in time."
The blond man nodded and smiled, looking at Angelet to the side.
"You can call me Morse, Morse Ledro. Welcome to Lennon City."
Angelet also sensed something not quite right between the father and son. It seemed like the city lord still had some reservations about this young man, Morse.
He glanced briefly at Morse.
His androgynous face was beautiful, with gem-like eyes, fair and rosy skin, and short, smooth, blond hair. With such a dazzling appearance, he was dressed in a black leather-fitted vest. Moreover, his lips were slightly purple, and a gentle smile on his face gave him an enchanting beauty, like a purple rose with sharp thorns.
What surprised Angelet even more were the two guards standing behind Morse.
One tall and one short, both without metal armor but only black full-body leather suits.
The tall one had a smile, long white hair, a handsome face, and held a black dagger in his hand.
The shorter one was playing with two small stones in her hands. She was a woman, wearing a black scarf, with long flowing black hair and only one eye visible. She wore a tight-fitting black leather suit, her figure quite curvaceous.
Angelet then glanced at the other people behind Morse, more than ten in total, but none were ugly or handsome.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Morse."
"Upon hearing that Mr. Angele has arrived at Lennon, I immediately rushed out of the castle to welcome. I didn't expect Father to act even faster. Unfortunately," Morse smiled, making anyone feel inferior in his presence.
Even Angelet felt a bit uncomfortable. Both were masculine, but the other's appearance completely overshadowed him.
"If Lord Alf has prepared a feast, let's talk inside first. It seems like it's about to rain outside," Angelet suggested.
"Of course." The city lord naturally agreed.
Morse just smiled and nodded.
The city lord walked in front, Angele and Morse walked side by side behind him, followed by Morse's other guards.
Angelet calmly observed Morse, noticing that this man avoided getting too close to him. Whenever Angele got closer, Morse naturally moved away.
"Zero, check Morse Ledro's physical condition and confirm his gender."
"Mission established. Detecting…
Morse Ledro: Strength 2.0, Agility 2.7, Endurance 2.4, Mentality 1.2, Mana 0, not yet reaching the genetic limit. Condition: Healthy. Gender: Male."
"He is indeed a male... Does he possess the physical abilities of a knight?" Angelet was clear. From these numerical values, it could be seen that Morse's physical condition was reluctantly at the mid-level of a knight. However, it was unknown if he had the actual strength of a knight; combat skills and experience were not easy to detect.
Currently, the chip could detect such clear entities due to two main factors. First, Angelet's physique had been greatly enhanced, and his five senses had also been significantly strengthened. Second, the two had a friendly attitude towards each other, with only a one or two-meter distance between them.
Angelet went on to check everyone within a five-meter radius.
The two guards wearing black leather armor brought by Morse as predicted indeed had the knight-level physique. They both belonged to the agile type. As for Morse's other guards, they were just impostors, ordinary people, and might be even worse than the guards of the city lord.
It was not surprising to have multiple knights appearing at once. This was the strategic mindset of the entire Lennon City.
"It seems like Morse has a kind of hypnotic charm related to beauty, and he despises those who are not beautiful, ugly, or ordinary." Angelet speculated in his mind.
However, the city lord Alf's physical strength was very strong, with a strength of 5, agility at only 0.5, and endurance at about 1. It seemed like he had been injured and was currently disabled. Clearly, his legs were paralyzed.
On the other hand, there was a vague sense of confrontation between Jerak and another white-armored guard of Morse.
As a group walked through the outdoor garden, Lord Alf whispered a few words to a guard beside him.
The language used was not Agmar but another language. Angele furrowed his brows slightly. Although his keen hearing could clearly catch the content, he did not understand the meaning.
The guard bowed, responded, and then turned to run into the lush garden on the right.
The garden was so large that the group could walk for several minutes without stopping.
After passing an outdoor scenic pond, they finally saw the gate of the castle's grand hall.
The thick black metal gate was already open. On both sides, palace servants lined up, and from the outside, the grand hall looked bright and vibrant, in complete contrast to the gloomy weather outside.
"Father, what does he want?" A voice suddenly came from the garden on the right side of the group.
"At last, my dear son has arrived. Welcome, my beloved son!" This time, a gentle and kind smile appeared on Alf's face.
There was a stark contrast in his expression when he saw Morse earlier.
Angelet glanced at Morse beside him from the corner of his eye.
He only saw Morse's face remaining calm, but there was a faint, indistinct reluctance in his eyes.
Everyone's gaze shifted to the garden on the right.
At the end of the flower bed, a young man walked slowly.
