"Y-your highness! you are awake."
Blinking eyes open, unfamiliar faces were clamoring around with voices unrecognized.
-"Where am I?" Inside her head, Yui subconsciously thought.
"Oh, my dear! the child is alive!" A man wearing a white robe uttered checking both her pupils.
"This is great mother queen; his highness has recovered." One of the servants exclaimed, thus a beautiful lady came running in her arms.
"Oh, my dear!"
"W-who are you?"
Bewildered by her response in a weak soft tone, everyone began to panic.
"T-the crown prince, m-my son! my son lost his memories." The beautiful lady hysterically screamed squeezing her small palms.
The doctor holds the Queen's shoulders to calm her down. "That isn't it your majesty the empress, it was just a shock due to the accident."
Breaking down, Yui could feel the warmth of the gentle arms slowly wrapping around her petite body.
"Oh, forgive me, my child. Forgive me Kaizer."
"Am I Kaizer?" Yui asked with a small voice and the Empress looked at her with tears in her eyes nodded her head and kissed her forehead.
Yui is extremely confused even after a few days passed, continually looking at the mirror while caressing her small young boy's face.
"Why do I feel strange." She uttered staring at the mirror while carefully studying every corner of her face.
Knock-knock
Creek- the door went half opened popping another small body with pair of golden eyes and flame hair.
Almost identical appearance to her but the difference is his droopy eyes that make him look softer.
"B-brother," The kid politely peeks from behind the doors with bruises on his hands and knees.
Yui stared at him indifferently, yet she feels a little tingle in her heart.
"Who are you?"
The kid showed great astonishment and tears began to form at the corners of his eyes.
"I-I am Arcus your little brother."
He explained with a shaky voice, clenching the hem of his shorts.
Yui tilted her head, even though she didn't understand any of the events happening to her, she just goes with the flow.
Having a little sympathy for seeing the kid with bruises, she approaches the kid who introduces himself as his brother and asked.
"What happen to you?"
She grabs his hands and check the bruises and slowly she guided him inside.
Arcus is in a daze watching his older brother attend to him gently.
"I just finished my swordsmanship training because I promised brother that I will become your sword."
Arcus explained downheartedly while staring at Kaizer who took an ointment and placed it on his scratches.
Yui didn't answer, she doesn't feel anything but strange and indifferent.
She cannot fathom any emotions at all just like a doll only doing what she thinks must be done.
"Brother looks different, but I still like a brother," Arcus said smiling brightly.
His words halt Yui's actions, and she feels a throbbing pain in her head.
-"This brat! I never liked you! Ever since you were born you took everything from me."
Such a statement began to occur in Yui's head.
-"Remove your hands away from that brat! Let him suffer in pain! He should be the one serving me!"
"Arrghh!" Yui groaned in pain grabbing her head and crouching.
"B-brother! What's happening!" Arcus panicked trying to hold his brother's hands but Yui slap them away.
"Leave!" Yui shouted but Arcus didn't bother rather he rush out screaming.
"Doctor! Please call the doctor!"
Yui's eyes become blurry, and her head starts to get dizzy reaching for Arcus until she lost consciousness.
Walking up, her body changed into a teenage boy yet with the same face.
"Your highness, it's time for your lessons."
A servant called and soon after they went to another room filled with books, tables, and chairs with a large chalkboard in front.
"You're late. A crown prince should never be late in classes."
A much taller teenage boy stood in front of her scowling with pair of sky-colored eyes.
-"He thinks he is better just because he is much smarter than me? In the end, you will become my slave."
Suddenly, another voice appeared above her head, the same voice that keeps ringing in her ears causing her a lot of pain.
"Jaiq and my child Kaizer let's have our lessons now."
The empress called the two boys, and they were both seated in the front seat.
Time passed by and whenever Yui closes her eyes the events change as if it's natural.
Until she reached that body's adulthood and all that he has been keeping in his mind began to unfold.
He did make Jaiq his slave, and Karin his wife, kicking his mother out and taking the power of the throne.
He indeed makes his brother his sword constantly sending him out for wars and subjugations like his loyal dog.
"You were loved! But you look at the other side of absorbing the negative emotions."
Staring at the mirror, Yui caresses the adult face of Kaizer and began uttering words from her mouth.
"Misunderstanding their care into sympathy thinking that you were pitiful and manipulating their emotions."
Glaring at the face the reflected image began to smile, different from her expression.
-"Who cares about that now? You don't even remember who you are? or who I am. You have been living like me. Doesn't that mean you did this too?"
"..."
-"You are no different from me now."
"No! Yui! My daughter!" A faint soft voice called her name causing the mirror to shatter and the whole place to turn dark and glasses began to surround her.
"Remember my child, I love you always."
A crying face suddenly flashed before her eyes causing tears to flow down her eyes, "Mother"
A loud blast of air broke all the glass pieces around her swirling white lights and human figures began to envelop, her.
"Marianne! How dare you!" Kaizer screamed in his black unrecognizable figure being surrounded at the center of the white space.
