Clapping their hands, the children who were listening to a story had eyes filled with amazement.
"Now time to sleep." Sandra, who was reading a children's book about Yui's legacy has spoken in a soft tone.
The kid having hazel hair and a pair of turquoise eyes went to her lap and pleaded, "But mom I want to hear more."
"No more Arianne, Julie looks sleepy now and even Jain was already asleep on the floor."
Sandra explained pointing at the other two kids beside Arianne.
"Aish these twins, why are you both so weak."
"Arianne, they are your cousins."
Sandra scolded her only daughter when slowly the doors of the room opened.
"Oh my, did my children pester you again sister?"
"Sophia! you came earlier."
Sophia went inside and immediately she took her twin children in her arms who by then has been yawning with eyes about to close.
"Well, I have to force my husband to get out of work early today."
"Haha, does that mean Rhian is also back?"
The twin sisters exchanged conversations in soft tones to not disturb the sleepy children, while Sophia carefully transferred her children to their beds.
"Yes, of course, even the crown prince has been telling them to get off work."
"Auntie! I'm here!" A kid with flame-colored hair and a pair of golden eyes went rushing inside.
"Cleo! your highness! Didn't I tell you to knock before entering someone's room?"
"M-mother!"
The kid's face becomes pale after seeing his mother's presence inside with his auntie almost stepping back.
"Oh My, your majesty the empress you are so strict with your kid,"
Yui said inviting Cleo inside and letting him sit at the table full of research and laboratory tools.
"Cleo! Let's fight!" Another male kid came from the other side door of the room with sparkling pair of golden eyes and deep blue hair.
"Yohan! fight outside not here."
"Eh! Sister Diana?"
Yohan's face crumpled responding to a young girl's voice who seems to be a bit older than them.
Diana's pair of turquoise eyes glared back at him which send chills down the kid's body however unlike his reaction Cleo is smiling to see the girl.
Her silver platinum hair tied upward is such a sight to see, it is just her cold and mature behavior that somehow scares them.
"Diana is indeed Daphne and Rhodes's daughter, isn't she?" Maylene uttered picking up the papers above the table.
Yui gave a soft stare at Diana who is busy with her experiment, "It is just she appears much stronger than her father."
"Maybe because of your influence."
Yui smiled, maybe it is because after Daphne gave birth to her first daughter and the first granddaughter of the imperial family, Yui paid extra attention to Diana.
It is because somehow, she felt strong mana flowing inside the child's body, however as she grows that mana gets weaker.
Regardless, Diana loved Yui's strong and intelligent character different from her mother's dignified one.
But Daphne did not stop Diana from doing whatever she wanted to do and thus entrusted her education to Yui and Maylene.
Still, they have another child which turns out to be a boy and has been learning to be the heir of their dukedom.
Meanwhile, Yui and Gael were blessed with a son and they named him Yohan who inherited his father's aura and sword talent.
He also has a bit of mana to perform magic but the kid chooses to follow his father's path and Yui did not disagree with it.
Cleo, on the other hand, also inherited Darrion's aura and has been living as a crown prince.
Unlike Yohan, Cleo is much interested in magic and alchemy and thus has been learning alongside Diana but besides that, the young prince must also attend his lessons as the next heir.
On the other hand, as what Julian wished for, magic and alchemy has now widely spread not only within the empire but also including the neighboring ones.
With their effort, new inventions and developments were presented that could make the human's life easier.
And this, the normal life of everyone progressed on their own.
Nevertheless, their story continued to have a much happier side of their lives stopping the traumatic and toxic experience they all have rooted in avarice and jealousy.
They have seen and experienced different agony and despite that, they were able to become strong and face their weaknesses.
Over time, they were able to find someone to stay by their sides and help them heal from their wounds.
The scars may not be removed easily, but with time they could become the badge of honor for the bravery they have shown to fight and proceed with their life.
The storm may be long dark, scary and dangerous but in the end, there will always be sunshine.
