“Aim for the heads! Don’t let them reach the building!” One of the group yelled. He stood straight commanding the other people crouching on the ground. It wasn’t that long till Byul realized, he was their leader. Byul took one meaningful look at his own group, especially staring at Winston’s gun hanging on his shoulder as he raised his brow. “Got something to say to me?” Byul asked Stanley as he looked at him empty-handed. This guy rushed here without even thinking and didn’t even bring anything? Byul sighed heavily. This jerk must’ve thought that this is still a game. What a late bloomer. Somehow, Byul was disappointed. “Pick something you could use. Try to kill some if you have nothing to do.” Without waiting for them to make up their minds. Byul walked near the entrance and consult his system. The group was too busy to pay attention to him so he took the golden opportunity to upgrade his skill. They did say, consuming things would increased the price. “How many are left?” Byul asked. “72….65..” Cici skillfully counted. “That’s more than enough.” Byul paused on his steps and finally raised his arm to the front, his palms stretching out as his eyes glint. In a loud beep, Cici exclaimed. [Skill: Corpse Control Activated!] Byul smirked and in a low voice, he whispered: “Stop” As if a lethal command, all the vicious looking zombies froze in their spots. The sound of bullets firing also stopped as the gunner shooting at the army of undead seems to be surprised with the phenomenon. Why has the zombies stopped? The commander tilted his head in confusion. After confirming, everything seems to be alright, he simply shrugged and waved his hand, shouting. “Cease fire! Don’t waste those bullets anymore.” After the shooting stops, the group picked up their guns and stood up to pat themselves. Byul just walked inside the building in a relaxed manner, after all no one saw him go out. He went back to his own group as if nothing happened. Simply humming as if he’s in a good mood. The commander fixed his group and walked up to them. He first scrutinized his party and glance at Byul, who was smiling foolishly. The commander think for a moment and decided that he might not be the leader. So, instead of facing Byul, he faced Stanley who was upright and composed and expressed his thanks. “Thanks for the hand.” Byul just clicked his tongue and went to Winston side. He patted his shoulder lightly and said: “You take over from here.” Byul said his piece and simply took his backpack, not minding the surprised expression from Winston’s face. Byul gave the new group a meaningful glance as he look back to the two students. They can stay here to mooch off this guy’s but he, no matter how much he think about it. He have no reason to stay and protect strangers. Several people introduced themselves but Byul had no interest in paying any mind to them. Later on, he would never be able to see them anymore so what’s the use of introduction when you’re going to die anyway? Stanley watched him with glaring eyes as he took some of his stuffs and in a bad mood, he interrupted his actions. “Where are you going after this?” Byul frown, he remembered this guy was actually here. He thought his presence fade after he got mixed in with the group but. Byul raised his brow at him and just said in a cold voice: “It’s none of your business. F--,k off.” He then grabbed his things and finally turned towards the entrance and walked away. After a few seconds, his hand was grabbed making Byul stumble a bit. In annoyance, he turned his head and glared at Stanley who was tightly holding his wrist and refusing to let go. “I’ll go with you.” The man said in a deep voice as he looked at him seriously. Byul sighed and thought to himself: ‘This guy can’t he even survive when he’s given such a huge handicap?’ It was very disappointing to be partnered up with a coward. If it was him in a game, he wouldn’t hesitate to kicked this teammate out. Sadly, the reality was even worse than fantasy. Byul didn’t pay attention to him anymore and just toss a few words on his face. “F—k off. Don’t follow me.” With that said, Byul quickly said to his system: “Can you drop me somewhere else. I don’t want to bother myself with this jerk.” Cici just replied in a flat tone. “ No, you don’t have that luxury yet so hurry up and upgrade me.” The cold reply leave him speechless as his heart was boiling with rage. Just how can a system be so heartless! This, even in novels they’re not this rude! Now, he really wanted to complain to the Creator. Byul paused as a bright idea suddenly popped on his head. In a malicious smile , Byul turned to Stanley and said as he pointed his finger at him: “If you’re going to follow me then be my dog and I will gladly let you!” Stanley “…” This idiot! He really did treat me as his dog huh! Stanley was so angry that he couldn’t make up a single word to say. Byul then turned his head to walked away after saying his piece. He knew him damn too well that he don’t feel anything else but anger towards him. No matter how stupid or helpless that guy is, he swore he won’t ever reached out his hand to help him, not even a bit. Byul scoffed as he sensed him frozen stiff. Anyways, he’s annoying so he didn’t pay attention to him anymore. “Heh. Bet he won’t ever hurt his pride.” Without looking back, Byul made his way on the street. The dirt road was filled with the evidence of massacre. There were lots of corpse lying on the ground and the rotten stench could be smelled even from a mile away. Ah this is it. The outbreak of the apocalypse. Byul lifted his head and inspected the place. Judging by the sight, this was a normal Zombie thriller movie. No mutation, no abilities, just pure hug-loving zombies. Although it was only his suspicion, Byul still felt that everything doesn’t add up. His quest was a straight up annihilation but if he did follow the main task then it would be destroying this world no? If the world is destroyed, what happened to survivors? This question has been bothering him a lot. Not that he forgot, he just didn’t think too much of it. But maybe the issue was something deeper than he imagined. Byul paused on his steps as he come across an apartment building. Rather than being wrecked by the outbreak, the apartment building was neat, there’s not a single trace of a zombie’s love and such a rare thing struck Byul’s curiosity. With a slight hesitation, Byul walked towards the building and stood just by the entrance. He look around for a bit as his gaze swept through inside the building. Aiya, why is everything okay? Byul raised his brow and absentmindedly pushed the transparent door and stepped inside the building. He studied the surrounding a bit and was very amused. It really didn’t experience the zombie’s love. After walking mindlessly for a while, he decided to go up the stairs. The building was small, only a two-story and a rooftop. If his guess was correct, then no one should be here since the aggressive hug-loving zombies didn’t pay attention to it. Or maybe, he shouldn’t have assumed early. Byul stepped on the second floor and as soon as he landed his feet, he heard the sound of music playing across the room. It was a soft melody, just like the background sound you could hear when you’re watching a dramatic movie. Byul didn’t move from his position and just listened for a while. A few minutes later, the music stopped and Byul had readied himself. If his suspicion is correct then it should be now. And just as the thought left his mind. He felt the presence of someone and not long after he realized that there was already a gun pointed directly on his head. He then saw a towel hugging the man’s waist as the water slowly trickled on his legs. Byul, with a bit of shyness took the smallest opportunity to look up and there, the idiot was too stunned to even move an inch after seeing such a beautiful face slowly mouthing out the words, he seemed not to hear. “Who are you?”
