Finally, it was the 10th of the next month and Byul had fully recovered his health. It was all thanks to Stanley’s newly discovered ability. Master’s Bond connect both of their state. If he was hurt, Stanley would get hurt, if he’s dead but Stanley’s alive, he’ll be alive. Though, he don’t want to accept the fact he was saved by him again. He just put most of the credit to his own skill, regeneration. After leaving the soldier’s camp, they encountered many zombies along the way and it almost held back their escape. Fortunately, he was thinking straight that time and only had the guts to control ten percent of his ability to flee from the zombies’ claws. The two of them battled day and night and without even realizing it, they already reached the next city which was from a hundred miles away. The infection already affect half of the global population, continuing and it’s only a matter of time for the two of them to annihilate every last being alive… He blamed the people for their carelessness but the situation had took over a new turn making it hard for him to flip the tables. All his card had been fold and funny enough, he didn’t even get to draw a single one of them. However, it wasn’t that hopeless, the only thing left that keep him hanging was the single thought remaining in his head. “Annihilate. We don’t have a choice anyways and it’s the main task to leave this world. We can only hope that we don’t slaughter every last human alive.” Byul fully made up his mind. In this moment, he can only say that ‘it can’t be helped’ regarding the current situation of the world. This was the plan from the start. He shouldn’t have let himself dawdle for so long that it end up being a troublesome work. “Watch the sides.” Stanley alerted him before he slammed his foot onto the accelerator and drove at the highest speed. Byul quickly reload the pistol in his hand and point it towards the window. It was raining heavily at night and the fog almost covered the vicinity of the road. They can only see a bit from the front because of the small light but it wasn’t that big of a problem since Stanley have his sharp senses. Just as the car was practically flying towards the long road, zombies coming from both side of the car started to slowly reveal themselves as they ran alongside the car. Byul hand shook for a moment and almost fired the gun aimlessly. Thankfully, he didn’t or else they would’ve been completely devoured by them. Seeing that they were still surrounded by those mad chasers. Stanley turned off the light and drove in a great speed. The car raced against the zombies as if they were in a marathon. As long as they weren’t notice by them it would be fine but then just as he pressed the accelerator again, he heard a loud beep from the front as another vehicle was about to collide against them. “Fuck!” Stanley quickly turned the car around as it harshly screeched and hit a few dozen of zombies. The sudden noise alerted those mad chasers and immediately went towards their direction. The car in front was honking nonstop and the driver inside seems to be panicked seeing a densely packed of zombies scourging the road. Stanley didn’t hesitate to pressed the accelerator and charged forward bumping and hitting a lot of zombies across the way. The blood splattered all over the windows and practically dyed the front glass red. Just at that moment when they fully crashed against another pack of zombies, the car was heavily damaged and took a huge hit at the front resulting to the car engine being destroyed by the impact. “Tsk.” Stanley angrily punched the steering wheel and immediately took off his seat belt. Byul held his head, dizzy and as the blood flowed into his eyes. He quickly recover his sense and held the gun tight in his hand. The growling and scratching immediately reached his ears and it hasn’t been long till the zombies were already banging on every side of the car, impatiently clawing the glass to have their meal. Stanley took possession of the gun and looked at Byul with a meaningful glance. Byul clenched his fist. He already used up his ability and the only card to be drawn from his deck was his special skill. ‘Corpse Breeding’ “Use your head. Damn it. Climb up!” Stanley snarled at him as he pointed towards the roof of the car. He already knew that they’re already spent and his ability was also used up. The only one he has was the ‘Soul’s Pact’ and Byul has his special skill. Even if he used his skill, it would be pointless when the other party’s skill was in cool down. Stanley shot the rooftop and gave it some consecutive punches. After creating a hole where they could finally fit in, Byul immediately climb up and pointed his gun towards the zombies. Some time after, Stanley also climb up and scanned the surrounding area with his sense. The rain was pouring heavily and the thick fog won’t let them be seen from below. Byul raised his gun and was about to pull the trigger when Stanley just shot at the car five meters away from them. It immediately lit up and caused a massive explosion alarming the zombies below them. In a brief second, the mad chasers immediately ran towards the direction of the sound. Byul took a quick glanced at the huge flames being engulfed in the rain and realized that it was the car that was about to collide with them earlier. “They’re already dead.” Stanley calmly explained as they got down from the car and ran away in a great speed. The two of them ran in the heavy rain with no direction in mind. After coming across a few intersections and shooting a few zombies along the way, the two people finally found an abandoned building. Byul instantly fell down in a slump as he panted heavily, trying to catch his breath. His clothes were deeply soaked in the rain, creating an alluring image by the other person didn’t pale in comparison, Stanley’s specs was molded greatly in his wet shirt and his face was covered with his wet hair. When he slicked back his bangs, he saw Byul limping on the ground. Apparently, it was cold and the wind blew hard from time to time. His eyes flickered a bit seeing an appetizing meal in front of him but he swallowed back the urge and went to approached the little lamb with a poker face. After gathering enough strength to stand up, Byul pointed upstairs. It was never been safe in the ground floor so the two of them would climb to the third or fourth floor of a building to secure themselves and since he was very exhausted from running in the rain. He didn’t mind Stanley giving him a piggyback ride. Upon climbing the upper floor of the building, Byul said to Stanley: “We didn’t bring a change of clothes so it’s better if we sleep naked.” Stanley paused and was silent for a while. Before climbing up, he checked the ground floor and found a few cartons and a blanket lying around. Hearing him said that makes him wanted to consider the invitation but will he really be able to hold back after hearing such a wild suggestion? “I don’t know about that.” He carefully said and averted his eyes away. “You found those cartons downstairs right? I know how selfish you are so don’t you dare turn me down.” Byul smacked his back with his fist. He really didn’t want to suggest that shit but it’s much better than freezing stubbornly in the cold. After hearing his words, Stanley signaled him to get down. Byul raised his brows and obeyed. Since it was just two of them then should he call dibs on the blanket before this bastard could have it all to himself? Stanley stared at him for a while and soon realized what he was thinking. He then gaze back and forth at the stairs behind him and Byul and finally smirked. “Then don’t you dare reject me.”
