"What do you mean, Chels? I was talking to my girlfriend." Wyatt said when I pinched him. "Does being your boyfriend require lying to them?" He whispered so I nodded then chuckled.
"I'm still not ready to say it to them so I think so. I'm sorry." I whispered to him then looked at the door. They're complete already. "Hi guys."
"Then let me know who's your girlfriend, Kuya." Chelsie said to him and he just shook his head. "I really heard Kuya saying 'I love you, love' to Ate Reese, mom."
"If I'm the one he's saying 'I love you' to then he'll say my name, Chels. But you heard him right? He's talking to his girlfriend." I said to her then looked at Wyatt. "Next time lock the door." I whispered to him and he laughed as he nodded. He hugged me again and pressed his face on my neck.
"Won't your girlfriend be jealous if she learns that you're pressing your face on your best friend's neck, son?" Tito asked him and the others agreed with him.
"And Reese, I thought you have a boyfriend? Why do you let Chase hug you like that?" Dad asked and Wyatt chuckled. "What's funny, Chase? I thought you're friends with her boyfriend? Is that okay with your friend?"
"It's fine to me so I guess it's fine to myself?" He whispered, which made me laugh. "Ano ba naman kasi 'tong pinasok natin? Let's just tell the truth."
"Let's just say it on my birthday please." I whispered to him and he nodded. "Thank you, love."
"Anything for you." He said before standing up. "Hey. What is it?" He asked as he put his phone beside his ear. "Sure. I'll go there with her."
"Who called?" I asked when he put his phone down. "And who's her?"
"Pia said that I should bring you with me." He said as he sat on my bed. "Go, get dressed. You have clothes in my closet."
I went to his bathroom and got dressed and when I got out they're already gone. "Come here, love." He said and patted his lap but I just stood in front of him but he pulled me towards him and made me sit in his lap. "This day is special isn't it? Should we eat dinner later?"
"Sure but aren't we going to meet your friends?" I asked him and he nodded. "Then should we get going? Late na lang lagi tayo." I said and chuckled. I tried to stand up but he hugged my waist. "What is it?"
"I love you." He said which made me chuckle. "Is it okay to kiss you on the lips?" He asked, which made me laugh.
"Hmm. I love you, love." I said and pouted then he kissed me. "Shall we go now?" I asked and he nodded then we both stood up. "You can hold my hand, love." I said and chuckled.
"I know that I can because I always hold your hand, Gracie." He said and rolled his eyes. He held my hand but this time it was intertwined. "We are going out now." Wyatt said to our parents when we got to the living room.
"Don't hold hands when you guys get there. It's really inappropriate now that we know that you guys have your own partners." Mom said and sighed while I laughed. "What's funny, Reese?"
"Mom, we don't have partners. You all got fooled." I said and felt Wyatt squeeze my hand.
"Then who is the girl he's saying 'I love you' to?" Tita asked which made my eyes widen and look at Wyatt.
"We're just acting to see if you guys will believe us." He said and chuckled so I chuckled nervously too. "We'll get going. I'll bring Gracie to your house, tita." Wyatt said to mom and mom look at tita before looking at us.
"Reese can stay with you. You don't need to bring her to our house." Mom said which made me scratch my head. Her mind changes so quickly.
"I'll see if I'll go home, mom. We'll get going." I said to him and then Wyatt started dragging me with him.
He drove us to a condo, I don't know who owns it but his friends, Pia and some other unfamiliar girls are already there.
"I didn't know that you're coming, Reese." Jerome said and tried to hug me but Wyatt pushed him away which made me chuckle. "Tumabi ka, Chase. I can hug my friend, right Reese?"
"Reese, I missed you." Pia said and hugged me before I could even answer Jerome. "You weren't with Chase yesterday. Why?"
"You guys always miss me huh. Wyatt didn't say it to me." I answered her and chuckled. Pia broke the hug then Wyatt pulled me closer to him. "What's the matter, love?" I whispered to him.
"Love, those girls like me when we were in high school. I don't think it's a good idea to stay here." He whispered back which made me look at the girls who's already looking at us. "Should we go?"
"It was way back in high school, love. I think it's fine to stay here." I whispered to him then looked at Pia. "Let's go? Should I leave Wyatt and stay with you, Pia?"
"Probably no. Let's stay with them. I can't trust someone." She said and chuckled. She sat beside Jaxon while I sat beside her and Wyatt sat beside me. "My tip is to be patient." She suddenly whispered then talked to the others.
"Chase, it's been a while. How are you?" A girl asked which made me look at her. "I heard you don't have a girlfriend? I can be yours." She said which made me cough, while Wyatt chuckled as he gave me a glass of water.
"I heard what Pia whispered to you, love. Be patient. I'll handle this without revealing our relationship." Wyatt whispered to me so I nodded and sighed. "No offense but you're not my type." He said to the girl which made me smile.
"That's rude, Chase." Bry said and Chase just glared at him. "I'm just kidding. Chase has a girlfriend so he's not available."
"He does?" The girl asked and all of his friends nodded. "Is she here? Is that his girlfriend?" She asked and even pointed at me which made me chuckle.
"Not me. His girlfriend isn't available today and I'm her substitute." I said and Wyatt chuckled and moved closer to me.
"Substitute isn't a good word, love. The word makes it look like you're my mistress." He said which made me think and agree. "Don't misunderstand it. She's my best friend." He said to the girl and took a shot.
"Don't start drinking yet, Wyatt. It's still early. Malalasing ka, baka hindi mo ko mahatid pauwi." I whispered to him. "And don't forget that we have class tomorrow."
"Tita said that you can stay with me. Would you stay?" He asked so I nodded. "Then in case I got drunk, you can just call mom and ask for a driver."
"Did you forget that you just drank last night? Aaraw-arawin mo ba?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I have a great idea. Let's go to the mall so I won't drink." He said and Jaxon heard it. "You and Pia will go with us?"
"Let's watch a movie rather than drinking. We have a class tomorrow." Jaxon answered him and stood up. Well I guess it's already settled. The four of us stood up then Pia dragged me with her leaving the two with them.
"Chase is handling it very well this time. Ikaw lang pala dapat kasama." She said and chuckled. "It's cool that he didn't lose his temper."
"Gracie, let's go." Wyatt said and held my hand. "Jaxon, did you bring your car?"
"No. We'll just ride with you." Jaxon answered him as we left the condo. We walked to the parking lot quietly until we arrived at Wyatt's car. "Why is your passenger seat so reclined to the back?" He asked Wyatt and Wyatt just looked at me.
"I like laying after we go to the mall since my back aches, that's why the car seat is like that." I answered him and he nodded, while Wyatt fixed it. "Where should I sit?"
"Passenger seat, love." Wyatt whispered so I did. He even put his hand on the top of my head as I entered the car then bent down to match my height. "Are you comfortable?" He asked so I nodded. "Good. I love you." He said then stood up straight then closed the door. Wyatt talked to Jaxon before they went inside.
"Chase is so gentleman when it comes to you, Reese." Pia said which made me smile. "Sana ganyan din sa akin si Jaxon." She added, which made me laugh.
"Do you guys have plans after this school year? A vacation somewhere else?" Wyatt asked them and looked at me then back to the road. "We have a vacation. It's also a celebration of Gracie's birthday. Do you guys want to come?"
"When is your birthday?" Pia asked,
"Exactly two months from now." I answered her and Wyatt chuckled.
"You can just say 19th of july, Gracie." Wyatt said which made me chuckle. "You love making things complicated."
"That's why I love you because you're so complicated." I said and laughed and they coughed. "You're one of the living witnesses on how much I love complicated things, Wyatt because you're so complicated."
"Confessing?" Pia asked, which made me laugh even more. "Do you like each other?"
"I do love Wyatt. Like? I don't know." I answered her and looked at them to see their shock reactions, which made me laugh. "Why so shocked? We're best friends so it's normal na we love each other naman di ba?"
"Graciella." Wyatt called me seriously, which made me stop laughing and look at him.
"I'm sorry. I won't talk in a conyo way again." I said and sat straight. He hates it when I'm being conyo. "Did you guys already have a movie in mind?" I asked when no one dares to talk.
"You'll choose what movie you want to watch." Wyatt answered me as he held my hand then rested it on my lap. "Stop staying quiet, Jaxon. You guys are making her uncomfortable." He said to them which made me chuckle.
"I thought Chase was mad at you, Reese." Pia said and sighed.
"He isn't mad. It's just a warning." I said to her and chuckled. "He hates it when I'm being conyo. 'Di ba I'm right, Wyatt?" I asked him and he glared at me which made me laugh. "See? It's just normal. Bawal daw kasi masanay ng ganun ang pagsasalita. We'll get scolded by our grandparents."
When we arrived they let me pick what we were going to watch but in the end we chose a stranger's recommendation.
"Graciella, look away." Wyatt whispered when a kissing scene appeared, which made me chuckle. "We shouldn't have watched this. You're still a minor."
"So what? This movie is R-16, love. I can watch and besides we kissed already." I whispered to him and he flicked my forehead. "Masakit ah."
"Let's focus on the movie." He said so we did but everytime there's a freaking kissing scene he's telling me to look away. "Won't watch a stranger's recommendation again." Wyatt said to us when we got out of the hall which made me laugh.
We went to the arcade and played. "Love, are you tired already?" I heard Wyatt ask me which made my eyes widen and look at Pia who's also shocked. "Why are you guys shocked? Can't I tease you, Graciella?" He said, which made me sighed.
"Baka maniwala si Pia sayo." I said and chuckled. "And it was the first time you teased me in front of someone, Chastille."
"Chase, let's drink at your house." Jaxon said to him and he agreed so we went to their house.
"Reese, kakauwi lang ng mga mommy mo." Tita said when we entered their house. "Oh, Jaxon, you're here."
"Wyatt and I will drink, tita. I'm with my girlfriend Pia." Jaxon said to tita and introduced Pia to her.
"It's nice to meet you Pia." Tita said to her then looked at me. "Stay for the night, Reese. I'll tell your mom about it. I'll make the guest room ready."
"Why guest room, mom? Gracie will stay with me." Wyatt said to tita which made me chuckle but when I look at Jaxon and Pia, my chuckle turns to laugh because they look shocked once again.
