CHAPTER 14

Professor Wilber and Keyla are on their way to Professor Vhobri's office. Her hands are still trembling, and she feels anxious that they are going to suspend her.
They halted at the enormous doorway, professor Wilber knocks and said, "Keyla Madris is here, professor Vhobri."
A strong voice answered, "Come inside."
After Professor Wilber opened the door to professor Vhobri's office, Keyla noticed an elderly gentleman sitting in his chair and she bent before him. Professor Wilber slid the door shut behind her.
"Hello, Keyla Madris, I am professor Vhobri Dolivo, the founder of this prestigious Institution. Have a seat," Professor Vhobri stated as he pointed at the piece of furniture in front of him. "I heard that you're Laurince's granddaughter, is that correct?"
Keyla nods and responds, "I am, professor Vhobri."
"I see. You mentioned that you're a paladin, right?" he questions.
"Yes, professor,"
"Professor Melfynn informed me that your pupils changed color during enrollment; is that correct?"
Keyla hesitated before responding, "I-I am not sure, professor..."
"Are you implying that you simply had no knowledge of what was happening the moment you vanquished Professor Melfynn?"
"No, professor, that is definitely not what I originally meant; it's just that I'm uncertain about what you're referring to, because I was unaware that my pupils had changed."
"Alright then, how can you explain the event that occurred within the gymnasium during Professor Wilber's class?" Professor Vhobri asks.
"At that precise moment, I was able to sense my mana overflowing in every part of my body. I utilized my emotions to strengthen it according to what Professor Wilber advised. Everything went smoothly, not until the visage of my mother flashed prior to my vision. It reminisces the memory of her, dying in the midst of the war many years ago. It makes me enraged as I heard someone giggling at her demise. After that, I have no idea what happens next." Keyla explained
"Hmm, is that so?" Professor Vhobri responds, "Unfortunately, I do not have any option but to punish you for summoning the fairy from the underworld. I believe you lost five of your points as a consequence of what happened. In order to get two extra points, you must tidy up the bathroom facilities and the entire field of Spivilion for fourteen days."
"Certainly, professor.." Keyla uttered.
"You're all set, you may begin scrubbing this afternoon; just be cautious the next time, you may now leave,"
"Thank you, professor."
Keyla sighed in despair as she stepped out the room. She was sorry for letting her feelings take control. She feels like crying since the way that her mother passed away had a profound effect on her.
She sobbed in the midst of the empty hallway. She is certain that many of the students already despise her as an outcome of what happened. If only that scumbag had not murdered her mother, she would not have had to suffer such as this.
Adonis appears right in front of her and offers her a handkerchief, saying, "Take this,"
Keyla gratefully accepted the handkerchief and replied, "Thanks..."
Adonis left the hallway and headed directly into his classroom. Keyla got to her feet since she needed to attend her next class, she couldn't miss it because of the event that had just happened.
From the moment she walked through the door to her scheduled class, everyone in the classroom gazed upon her though she were a monster. Keyla was expecting this and then sat in her seat without saying anything.
"All right, class, take one sheet of this paper; today we're going to have a practice test on trigonometry; the student with the highest overall score will be given fifteen points, while the rest will receive ten points."
Everyone received the piece of paper and began answering the problems.
After an hour, students were done with the practical test that had been distributed to them. Keyla was not confident in all of her answers, but she'll be pleased to have at least ten points.
"That's all for today; kindly move on to your next class," the educator said. The students started to leave the room.
Keyla stepped out after packing her bag. Vienna asked as Keyla started walking down the hallway, "Are you okay? Your peers have been talking regarding the skeleton fairy you conjured earlier."
"I would rather not speak about it, Vienna," Keyla responded, "Anyway, I'll be leaving you all alone in my bedroom because I have something to take care of after class and I won't be bringing you; just make sure Sage doesn't stumble upon you."
"Got it!" Vienna exclaimed and then hid inside Keyla's bag.
Keyla walked inside the Swords and Crafts II area. Seniors gazed at her and muttered;
"That's her, right?"
"Yeah, she's sort of scary,"
"I had a feeling something was amiss with her mana,"
"Nobody in this curriculum has the ability to summon a fairy that lives in the underworld."
"I'm sure Ali is trembling at this point, because that freshman definitely seems stronger than her."
"It's no surprise that professor Melfynn welcomed her as a scholar."
"She's skilled, and her fighting abilities are captivating, although it's somewhat intimidating,"
Ali overheard everything and clutched her pencil until it snapped. She rushed over to Keyla and shoved her. "How obnoxious! Why can't you just leave?!" Ali screams.
"Ali, stop that!" a pupil exclaims whilst she grasps Alysha's forearm.
"What's going on here?"
Ali was startled after she heard an intimidating voice. Professor Melfynn was there shortly after she turned around.
Professor Melfynn screamed, "Who dared to cause nuisance ruckus inside this curriculum!?"
One student stated, "Ali shoved Keyla against the floor's surface."
"Is that true, Miss Elrod?"
"Professor, I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to---"
"Go to my office immediately!"
Ali bent her head and said, "Yes, professor..."
"No, professor, it's my fault; I hit Alysha first," Keyla stated as she breathe deeply, "She didn't do anything."
Professor Melfynn stayed silent, and every senior gazed upon Keyla, stunned by the words she stated.
"I see, Miss Madris, come with me to my office," Professor Melfynn added and then walked away.
Keyla got to her feet and followed him. She maintained her head down, refusing to make any eye contact with anyone.
They arrived promptly at Professor Melfynn's office. Professor Melfynn reached for a book and handed it to her.
"What's this all about?" Keyla inquires.
"You may enjoy your time here, rest your head for a while," Professor Melfynn remarked.
"What about my class?"
"It's all right; I told the freshmen that your schedule is vacant today."
"Oh.."
"Anyway, I saw Alysha shove you to the floor; why did you claim she wasn't doing anything?"
"Because I don't want to ruin her reputation; she's the president of this curriculum, and I'm just a novice freshman," she explains.
"I see, however, I must deduct twenty points from her academic record because I do not tolerate bullying in this school," she says.
"How many points did she have?"
"She earned 910 points for the past two years, and the presidential campaign additionally awarded her an extra 100 points."
"But she'll now have 890 points?"
"Exactly, she can recoup the 20 points since she is a smart scholar."
"Good for her," Keyla commented.
She opened the book and started going through it.
"Anyway, I'll leave for now; you are able to read whatever books you're interested in here," Professor Melfynn explained.
"Thank you very much, professor."
"No problem, kid," Professor Melfynn says as he pats her head.
He then stepped out of his office. Keyla continues to read the book. A single tear poured down her cheeks; what had she done to deserve Professor Melfynn's kindness?
