CHAPTER 25
It's already 10 AM, the class started an hour ago. Vaughn, alongside with Trixi and Sage, is in swordsmanship class.
Vaughn still couldn't forget Sage's interaction with that girl back in cafeteria.
Sage noticed Vaughn's gazes towards her, "Why are you staring at me? Stop it, it's creepy."
Vaughn smiled, "I believe that you have a new friend today?"
Sage rised her right eyebrow, "A friend? Who on earth are you referring to?"
"The one you were talking to earlier at the cafeteria"
"Paisley?"
"You tell me, I don't even know that girl's name."
"Yup, you're referring to Paisley." Sage response, "she's not my friend,"
"I cannot believe Sage Tuffin can lie,"
Sage glared at Vaughn and points her sword at him
Vaughn raised both of his hands, "I was just kidding,"
"You better be, now shut up and don't talk to me,"
"I'm afraid I'm unable to do that. My presence seems to annoy you, so I'm gonna stand here and talk,"
"You rather have your dead body be thrown in the trash, don't you?"
"If that what's makes you happy, then go for it, Sage,"
"That's enough, both of you." Trixi stated, "We came here to know how to use the g*dd*mn sword, not to argue over a small thing that isn't worth arguing about,"
Sage simply scoff at both of them
"Good morning, class. So, today we'll have swordmanship evaluation. And, when I call out the name, he or she will choose their own competitors. The winner shall receive 10 points, and the loser will lost a total of 10 points from her credentials, so you better do your best. You also must not use your other techniques or else, you'll be disqualified. I'll be setting up the timer for 1 minute. Whoever lost within a minute will lost their points. Understand?"
"Yes, professor!" Every student exclaimed in unison
"We'll start with Trixibelle Dankworth."
"Break a leg, my lady," Vaughn whispers
Trixi walks towards the center of the room
"I would like to have a battle with....... Sage Tuffin,"
"Hah, this is something," Sage sneered before she walks in the center, "I won't go easy on you, lady Dankworth,"
"It's fine, I won't go easy on you either."
"You realize you'll lost 10 points if I defeated you right?"
Trixi smirked, "Instead of worrying about my points, you should worry about yours,"
Trixi began to attack Sage in a swift movement. She draws the sword and tried to hit her, but Sage blocks her.
The sound of their swords clashing echoes all over the room. Some students are terrified to watch as they sense a lot of tension between them. Neither of them wants to lost their points.
"Cr*p!" Sage yells as she felt her knees bleeding
She began to dash towards Trixi and a strong force from her sword began to appear
Trixi let's out a sigh and examines Sage's movements. Before the sword could even hit her, she strike her sword towards Sage and deflect her attack
Vaughn is amaze by how good those two are, considering that Trixi has never held a sword before, and Sage usually use her telekinesis to lift up a sword and attacks her opponent.
He can feel their determination in this battle, and their mana has increased.
He looks at professor Neffari's direction and he noticed that he's enjoying their battle as well.
"Just give up already, princess!"
"And lost my points!? H*ck no!"
Vaughn never thought he would feel a lot of pressure by observing those two.
"Will lady Trixi be okay?"
"I hope so, their battle seems extreme, even for us,"
Vaughn heard murmurs behind him
"And times up! It's already 1 minute!" Professor Neffari yells
Trixi and Sage stopped fighting. Both of them ended up in the floor because of exhaustion and trying to catch their breathe
"That was an excellent battle, Miss Tuffin and Miss Dankworth, however, neither of you are the winner."
"It's a tie?" Sage asks
"Indeed, it is. But fortunately, neither of you lost your points, since it's a tie, both of you will receive 5 points only. Is that enough?"
"Yes sir," Trixi responded, she looks at Sage and smiles, "That was a good battle, Sage,"
"Yeah,"
"Okay so, both of you should rest for the rest of our class since you're both covered in bruises, and it must heal immediately. Someone please call the medics, please,"
"Yes sir!"
Vaughn approaches them both and cuts his shirt, he then puts it on Sage's legs
"Don't tear that off until the medics heals you,"
"Thanks," Sage muttered
"I never expect to be pressured by both of you, honestly,"
"We did our outmost best, didn't we?" Trixi asks as she chuckles
Vaughn smiled and replied, "You sure did, lady Trixi,"
The medics finally arrived and quickly assisted them. Download Novelah App
