Laurince is peacefully watering his plants in his garden. It's been a while since he last saw his granddaughter. The wind leaves rustled in the wind. He stared into the sky as he smiles I hope you watch over your daughter, Lilith... After he watered his plants, he went back inside the house and he is preparing his food. He jolted after he heard a loud knock on his door He opened it, Sylvia and Melfynn came to visit him He frown and shut the door as quickly as he could "Hey! How disrespectful of you, Laurince! Open up the door!" Sylvia yelled Laurince ignored her and continues what he was doing, but suddenly, he heard a loud noise coming from his door He turned around and saw that the door is completely broken Melfynn chuckles and uttered, "Oops, I think I must've overdid it." "How dare you shut a door on a lady!?" Sylvia yelled Melfynn coughs, "Old hag," Sylvia glared at Melfynn after she heard what he said "What are you both doing here?" Laurince asks "We came here to hang out! It's weekend and we have nothing to do," Melfynn replied "So, you came here to bother me?" "Kinda," Melfynn stated and laughed "Hey, I think something's burning..." Sylvia stated Laurince immediately rushed into the kitchen, he saw that his food is on fire. He immediately grabbed the water and poured it onto the pan "Oh, how nice of you, cooking meat for us! You probably know we're coming." Melfynn stated, he grabbed some meat and eats it, "Uhm, It's not like I'm acting disrespectful nor complaining, however, it appears like the meat you cooked is a bit burnt....and wet," "Don't be stupid, Melfynn," Sylvia said Laurince sigh, "Whatever, just sit down." The three of them sat down on the sofa. "Perhaps, I should prepare some tea for us. May I know where's your tea cabinet, Laurince?" Sylvia stated "At the kitchen," "Very well, wait here, boys." Melfynn laughs and says, "That old hag is the same just like the olden days. Time flies too fast!" "She is, that's why I keep some tea in the cabinet if ever you came here unannounced and broke my door." Laurince glared at Melfynn "Sorry 'bout your door, I can fix it for ya." "How's Keyla, by the way?" Laurince inquired "She's great, she's a fast learner, Laurince. However, I am not certain if she was born without any supernatural abilities." "What do you mean? She never has any supernatural abilities." "Are you implying that she's just a mere human even though she's a paladin?" Laurince didn't answer Melfynn added, "I am afraid it's hard to believe that she's just a mere human after defeating me multiple times. Her strength came from you, but her appearance looks exactly like Lilith," "Indeed, that's why I sent her to Spivilion, knowing that it is the best place to keep her safe from the Shamans. I simply do not want her to get hurt, nor die upon Damion's hands, just like Lilith." Melfynn's expression became serious after he heard what he said, "There's a question that I'm afraid to ask up until now. Who's Keyla's father anyway?" Laurince froze after Melfynn asked the question. He was about to react when Sylvia arrive "Who wants some tea?" She stated and gently put the tea on the table, Melfynn grabbed a teacup, "Can I have some, please?" "Of course, you can," Sylvia poured the tea onto his teacup, "So? What did I miss?" "I was just asking Laurince regarding Keyla's father," Melfynn muttered "I see, who is it them? I'm curious who," "Keyla's father is a mere human," Laurince answered "That can't be, Keyla's ability is quite extraordinary to have mere human's genetics. It's impossible." Sylvia commented "See, I told you it's hard to believe. Therefore, I conclude that Keyla is not a mere human nor has mere human's blood." Melfynn inserted "Can we just stop talking about her father!?" Laurince yelled, "Keyla doesn't know anything about him so it's understandable if we could just stop talking about that man!" "What in the name of Klasiphina are you talking about? Keyla doesn't know anything about his father?" Sylvia asks Laurince calmed himself before responding, "Indeed, she doesn't know anything about him, and I prefer it that way." "Why, Laurince? All this time, Keyla doesn't know anything about her parents, other than Lilith?" Laurince nodded, "She doesn't need to know." As soon as Melfynn finished drinking his tea, he then stated, "I believe that she has all the right to know about her father. You can't keep it a secret forever, mate, you might hurt her feelings." "Whatever you say, I'm not gonna tell anyone who's her biological father, she's happy even without knowing him and that's it, end of discussion." Sylvia sighed as she cannot force him to spill any details regarding Keyla's father, "If that's what you want, then it shall be it. I hope you won't hurt Keyla's feelings in that way." Laurince smiled at them, "It's nice to have you two here, just like before," "We'll always be here, that's what pals are for, isn't that right, Sylvia?" Melfynn stated Sylvia smiled, "Of course, now, drink your tea before it gets cold." "Yes ma'am!" Both men said in unison. Sylvia filled their teacups with tea "You know what, leaving the Paladin Division might be the best idea I ever made." Laurince said, "Being everybody's hero is not what I want after all. Living my life without carrying any responsibilities to Spipoiary is somewhat makes me relief." "That's your reason why you left the division? I thought you leave because you impregnate someone." Sylvia asks "What?" "Years ago, after you left the division, people saw you carrying Lilith in your arms when she was a baby," Melfynn nods his head, "Even Sylvia and I don't know who's your wife even though we're your closest friends." "Silly, I left the division after Lilith died, both of your brains must be dusty right now, old pals." Laurince laughs "We're not that old, but Sylvia sure does look old," Melfynn chuckles "Shut up, Melfynn." Sylvia stated before glancing at Laurince, "So? Who's your wife?" "I thought you knew?" Laurince added, "I do not have a wife," "What!?" Sylvia screamed, "This is so confusing..." "Lilith isn't my biological child, I found her on the street when she was just an infant. However, I treat her as my own." "You're saying, you ain't Keyla's biological grandfather either!?" Laurince nod, "But, they're my family, and having them as my responsibility is good enough for me. No lots of pressure, unlike before when I was in the division." "This is too much for me to handle...." Melfynn muttered "Lilith might not be my biological child, however, her abilities are exceptional, you both know that." "You're something, Laurince. How many secrets do you have in your sleeves?" Sylvia asks Laurince chuckles, he drank his tea without saying anything else.
