Chapter 9 A Plan For Escape

I remained silent on the wooden stool as I gradually took a glimpse of the Prince who eventually sent me home. Sage Williams greeted our sight as we arrived yet upon seeing Timothy with me, she hastened to lock her lips. I rolled my eyes at her expression and I wanted to vomit forth as I thought of both of them. It seems that something is up with the two of them, perhaps that is the reason why Prince Timothy insisted on driving me home.
"We have training for tomorrow, it would be very uncomfortable to see you participating in the game with your arm wounded." I heard the Prince spoke and so, I glanced at his countenance only to see his handsome face.
I noticed that Sage was also sneaking behind the door and I knew she heard of our conversation.
"It happened that I am still capable of playing with the archers, it is just a slice, nothing to worry about, Tim." I do not want to appear weak before his sight. Thoughts were again running inside my head and I wanted to throw questions as much as I could.
"Tim," I called out and he momentarily paused from what he was doing. He gazed at me and placed the bandages on the center, I lightly bit my lower lip as I was feeling reluctant to ask a question.
"What is it? Do you need anything? What can a Prince do for you, milady?" He asked, which made me uneasy. Whenever I recall what had occurred earlier, it always pushes me to feel frightened. I am sensing fear, I can say that I began to feel scared of the things that might happen again.
"Terra?"
Timothy snatched my attention and so I came back to my senses. An awkward smile escaped from my lips and I let go of a chuckle as I moved to glance at him.
"... I was about to ask concerning the laws in our territory, especially to the Kingdom."
"What about it? What did you find out?" He questioned and sat comfortably on the sofa? "Do accept my apology, Terra. I will do something to make the king regret of what he did to you," he uttered which made me even anxious. I once more felt the tension yet I did something to distract myself, I brushes my hair with my fingertips and showed him the portion which was cut.
"I know that it is forbidden to cut one's hair," his eyes were focused on me and I could sense any moment that he was about to react. "I got these in the woods, I was not aware of it since a man showed up and appeared right before me. He cut the front part and it was too late for me to realize about the said law," I explained, hoping for him to comprehend the phrases I enunciated.
"The King must have seen this?" He muttered and I nodded, I heard him cussed and I felt surprised when he leaned his face closer to me.
"He won't let you go, Terra."
I felt confused by what he mentioned and turmoil began to collide in my mind. "What do you wish to say?" I asked.
"He wants you, obviously. You have found favor in his sight and even if you are consecrated to marry my brother, he will do what is in his heart." I froze in my seat and watched him, I could not understand the things he wanted to say. Is there only evil within his heart that he chooses to do a thing that could ruin his name? Is that why he supervises the authorities to delude the townsmen?
"What shall I do? I cannot let him touch me," I feel eager to escape, why does the King seem to be frightening? He cannot perform such desire, and to consider that he is a ruler. He is unbelievable, he has the guts to mislead his own people as well.
"The only thing you must do is to escape Terra," upon hearing his thoughts, my eyes widened in surprise and I reflected for a moment. He is partly precise about it, assuming to be safe inside the danger zone would be stupid to guess.
"Tim," he stared at me and I only gulped before I could enunciate further phrase. "How come you know about the good and bad?" I questioned.
His eyes became piercing and I perceived that he was attempting to think about what I uttered. "I was able to read the history book," he simply replied, which cause my brows to meet.
"Tell me, where must I find it? I have heard that almost everybody requested to burn that book and get rid of it," I guess I am being desperate to know more about the tales, but I do not think it is only a story, I have a feeling that it is more than that.
"I am not in the position to tell you but allow me to remind you that the book truly exists, once you find that certain tale, the letters were written on it are not as simple as what we think. It is powerful, it creates a portal toward the Ethereal Haven, it opens the Ancient Gates of the firmaments." As I listened to him, amazement could be seen on his complexion and I could not stop myself but to be astounded as I began to let my imagination play inside my mind.
"How did you know all of this?" I asked once more but he never responded, instead he continued to speak of what he knows and perhaps, witnessed.
"Our people need upright judges, they are being blinded by our kingdom's wondrous rules. It appears to be correct before them but once your eyes are open, you can say that they only cause ruin in our people," he proceeded to tell me more about the laws and our territory, and I find it quite confusing considering the way of how he delivers such messages.
"You are a Prince, I am expecting you to possess the power to change every folks' mind and heart."
"Be reminded of this, Terra. You are not able to change someone's heart and mind, we cannot change people," and I remained dumbfounded by his thoughts. I never know that Prince Timothy is a wise man, he clearly knows everything!
"Unless the authorities will not leave their positions, our land shall be punished. A war shall surely occur… I could sense it."
"What shall we do?" Our land was corrupted with evil, and all I could do was to watch them suffer. How selfish, Terra.
"I already told you to escape, get away from here, and never come back." Upon hearing his words, I automatically laid my eyes on his countenance and I saw how he threw a poker face at me.
"What?"
"Are you even serious? My father would surely look for me," I complained.
"Go to the woods, search for the witch named Constance and she shall reveal to you what to do," he ordered and stood up from his seat. "I shall go, I must assist Prince Gohan at the keeps to survey the prisoners. Someone escaped, it is nice to have a moment with you, Terra." He slightly bowed at me before he departed from the place. I was left dumbfounded once more and I could sense how my body seemed to weaken.
"I need a nice nap for a while," I whispered and traipse my feet toward my bedroom.
Without any further words, I let my body fall and bounce on the softness of the mattress. I smelt the familiar scent of my pillow and I closed my eyes as I let the sleepiness visit me. What a tiring day!
