Chloe can't stop fidgeting all day after James went on his mission. What if something happens to him there? That means that they may end up being stuck in the Joseon dynasty. The idea of living in the middle of war doesn't seem to be appealing.
The court ladies are coming and going trying to make her eat. But Chloe just doesn't have the appetite. It's hard to appreciate food when she's worried about someone. Prince Moon shows up and tries to entertain her. Although she likes him a lot, it doesn't seem to help. She still wants to see James right now!
"Moon, will the soldiers be camping?" She asks him, trying to trick him to tell her their exact location.
Chloe has learned how to read the map of Joseon. It will not be hard for her to find James' whereabouts. If she has to drag him out of this place, she will do it. If she only knew how to go back to the present time, she would do anything to get away from this place.
"I'm sorry, my queen! I don't know that either." Prince Moon denied what he knew for sure.
"I just wanted to see where it is from the map. Maybe it will help me relax a little." She explains to him hoping that he will tell her.
"Amaya, there is no way I will tell you even if I know where they are. It's a battlefield! It's not a place for a lady to be there." He replied.
"But what if something happened to Jam...I mean the king?" She asks him and almost slips her tongue.
"He's a skilled swordsman. I know, I thought of him myself." Prince Moon boasted.
"Then, what are you doing here?" Chloe asks in an irritating tone.
"The king told me to stay with you, my queen!" He reasoned that made her feel guilty.
"I'm sorry, Moon! I'm just worried about him." She apologized right away.
"No need to apologize, my queen! He is your husband, after all." He replied with a hurt tone.
Chloe feels guilty for snapping at him so she holds his hand. If only they were in the present time, she might even hug him. But this is Joseon and she doesn't want to be misinterpreted. He smiled and also held her hand and put it on his chest.
"Do you feel better now?" Chloe asks him and compares how old she is from him.
He nodded and intertwined his hand to hers which caught her off guard and blushed. Prince Moon is flirting with her but she can't just take her hand back just like that. Just let him feel better first and slowly take it back.
Moon is 27 and she's already 40 in the real world. That means she's 13 years older than him. But instead of treating her like an older sister, he seems to be flirting with her. Although she sometimes forgets her age because she glances young from this place.
"What's wrong?' He asks when she takes back your hand from his.
"Moon, I'm your brother's wife!" Chloe reminded him about her position.
"It was just an arranged marriage! Don't tell me you're truly in love with Yung Ho." He just blurted it out.
"Oh my God! Do you like me?" She can't help but ask him directly.
"You're my sun, Amaya. So, let me be your moon!" He delivered the cheesiest pickup line in history but she can't even laugh.
That was an unexpected proposal! She thought that he would deny it. But then he asks her to make him her moon. Good thing he's handsome so his line doesn't make her cringe. Maybe if she's from this period, she will be tempted to cheat on her husband.
But his line is still the cheesiest of them all and she can't stop herself anymore and laugh out loud. This kid seems to know how to make a woman's heart flutter. Not exactly hers since she's way older than him. Although she's also older than James, he can make her forget about her real age.
"Are you laughing at me?' He said and looked embarrassed.
"I'm sorry, but your line is a little bit too much for me." She replied while still giggling.
"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, Amaya! How can't I fall for you if you're too adorable?" He said in the most Korean Drama way possible.
It seems that it sounded rehearsed but he looks more serious now. How can she reject a prince as handsome as him? But she's supposed to be the queen and she can't let him feel this way about her. It's better to stop him from liking her now before she messes up with the history.
"You seem to be forgetting your place, Prince Moon! I'm the wife of your brother, the king of Hanyang!" Chloe tried her best Korean Drama tone as well to make him stop.
"I'm sorry, your highness! I just can't stop blurting out my feelings for you. Forgive me!" He suddenly bowed at her feeling bad.
That works well! At least she can spare him the pain once she gets back to where she came from. Even if she likes him, there is no way for them to be together. She's already married and it's not right to just cheat behind King Yung Ho while he's in the middle of a possible war.
Prince Moon bid his farewell and left her alone. Although she feels guilty for rejecting him like that, it's better this way than to be involved with him further. That made her miss James even more. If he's here, Prince Moon will not even be able to come closer to her.
He looks so handsome especially when he looks so desperate. Just when she thought that the thing about Prince Moon is over, he suddenly barges inside her chamber again. He unexpectedly pulls her closer and kisses her. She tried to push him away but he didn't stop.
"Prince Moon, what do you think you are doing?" Chloe asks him when he lets her go.
"I love you, Amaya!" The prince told her with conviction.
Chloe doesn't know what to say and is still in shock. Prince Moon grabs and kisses her again. Oddly, she didn't even try to stop him from kissing her deeply. Instead, she finds herself responding to his kisses.
