"Where do you think you're going?" James asked.
He decided to see Chloe first thing in the morning. It's hard for him to sleep without her by his side. But now that they are back, they need to live in separate places. That's why he decided to see her before she could do anything drastic. Being married to her in Hanyang made him know her better.
"James, what are you doing here? It's too early!" Chloe looks surprised.
"Why do you have luggage? You're not planning to escape from me. Are you?" He sounds joking but he looks serious.
"No, I realized that I have a lot of dirty clothes. I'm bringing them to the laundry shop." That's all she could think of as an excuse.
"How can you have that many dirty clothes? We were in Hanyang until yesterday." He seems like he's suspecting her.
James takes the luggage from her hand and holds her hand on the other. He leads her back inside and to the elevator of the building. Chloe doesn't know what to say now that he caught her. She was supposed to go to a friend's place while waiting for her flight back to the Philippines.
"What floor?" James asked.
"The fifth floor." She replied.
James put down the luggage to press the button but didn't let go of her hand. Is he thinking that she would run if he let her go? When the elevator door opens, they walk inside. Chloe didn't have a choice but to follow him. She never thought that going up to her floor would be this nerve-wracking.
"Which unit do you stay in?" He asked.
"Unit 501." She replied.
They both went to her door and Chloe felt guilty about her plans to leave. She's 40 again now that they're back in Seoul. But she's acting like a kid. That's why she decided to just talk to him. They went inside her unit quietly which made her nervous. James is too quiet but she tries to face him.
"James, I think we have to talk." Chloe started.
"Yes, we do! But let's do that later." He agreed and suddenly kissed her lips.
Chloe felt surprised that he's kissing her now that they are back in the present time. Her mind is racing but his kisses made her don't care about anything anymore. She responded to his kisses and just enjoyed the moment. That's when she realized that she is in love with James and not anyone else.
The incident with Prince Moon was just a mistake. Now that James is holding her between his arms, she's more sure about her feelings for him. How can she be so dumb and plan to leave him the moment they get back? Their love story in Hanyang doesn't end there. It needs to continue even in Seoul.
"Better?" James asked after their kiss.
"Yes. I'm sorry James! It's not that I don't want to be with you. I'm worried about what would happen if we continue this." Chloe admitted her fear about their situation.
"What are you worried about? You're my wife Chloe. You can't divorce me in Seoul because we're married in Hanyang." James reminded her.
"James, that's Hanyang. I don't think our marriage will be valid after a few centuries." She replied.
"That's what you're worried about? Let's get married here again then!" James said as if it was nothing.
"I'm already 40 years old here! You're 26 or 27?" She informed him.
"I'm turning 27 this year. So what?" He asked.
"Aren't you embarrassed to be with an older woman?" She can't believe him.
"After being married in Hanyang for some time, you still didn't know me that well!" James exclaimed and couldn't believe it.
Chloe doesn't know what to say to him anymore. As if he's already made up his mind about their relationship. It made her happy but she knows better. Even if he's fine with their age gap, she feels uncomfortable about it. But she knows that she can't change his mind anymore. It made her a little emotional.
"Hey, are you crying?" James feels worried right away.
"No, I'm just happy that you feel that way." She replied.
"Stop worrying about it and just say yes to my proposal!" He told her.
"Okay, let's get married again!" She finally said.
James looks surprised even if he's already expecting her to say that. He wrapped her around his arms for a tight hug. Chloe feels great seeing him happy. What would happen if she just left for good? She suddenly felt silly about her decisions. James still wants her 40-year-old self but she can't understand why.
"Well, since you're already packed, you can come with me now!" James informed her.
"What do you mean to come with you?" She is confused by what he said.
"I came here to pick you up so you can move in with me. I can't sleep without you beside me!" He replied and stole another kiss from her.
Chloe giggled like a high school girl. James makes her feel young again. As if they are just the same age. He's more affectionate now that they are back in Seoul. She knows that James will never take no for an answer. He's very persistent as a king and even now that he's a rockstar again.
"You're not even going to ask me if I want to move in with you?" She asked and laughed.
"No, you're not my girlfriend. You're my wife! We should live together right?" He replied.
"Fine, let's go home then!" She told him.
James excitedly takes her luggage again and her hand. She decided to just go with the flow for now and think about the consequences later. They are married as the King and Queen of Hanyang. But she's not sure if the people from the present would be happy about them. She doesn't care anymore as long as James wants to be with her.
Chloe should have thought things over before accepting his proposal. She's no longer young to be making rushed decisions. Everything may look good for now. But she didn't think about what would happen in the future. Their reality is about to happen and she didn't even know about it yet. Not while she thought that she's finally going to be happy.
