"By the way, what about you and Arthur?" Peggy ask before she sips on her juice.
"Yeah, gurl! You guys look like you're getting closer nowadays," Sabrina adds.
Liana just smiles at the ground shyly, avoiding eye contacts with her two friends. The thought of Arthur actually gave her butterflies, even though they just became closer since she got drunk at Shannon and Peter's wedding. She didn't really notice Arthur before, other than the fact that he's part of the football team. Liana's is more focused on her female friends, that she seldom thought about boys, though she's one of the most popular girls at school.
"Ahh, I know that look," says Sabrina with a big smile.
"You're blushing, Eonnie," says Peggy.
"Ok, ok, enough with this! We're just friends, and thought we could take things slow. Oh, and for added bonus...he did asked me out this Saturday night to the movies," says Liana, which the girls got instantly excited.
"Wohoo....first date for Walter and Stanley," says Peggy as she carries Jamie higher, in which Liana and Sabrina ended up laughting.
Saturday, 7:45 PM...
Seoul-Song Karaoke, Los Angeles...
"Nice room, Leo," says Liam as he studies the fancy karaoke room.
"Thanks. Took some time though to decide. They have a lot of cool rooms," says Leonard.
"Well, why don't we start singing already? I wanna see Mei Mei (little sister) here sing again," says George as he puts his right arm around Tiffany, making her look a little awkward.
"Mei Mei? I am 2 weeks older than you, Di Di (little brother)," says Tiffany with a sassy tone.
"Ah..hao le, hao le (ok, ok)," says George before he pulls Tiffany closer to him, as Leo, Alexis, Liam, Tyler, and Peggy stares at him in confusion.
"I didn't know you were studying Chinese," says Tyler to George with a smirk.
"I am, and I have a cool laoshi (teacher)! She's hen piaoliang (very beautiful)," says George before he plants a small kiss on Tiffany's hair, making Tiffany blush in embarassment. The boys and Peggy starts cheering on the couple.
Meanwhile, at Candice's house...
Candice is lying on her bed while listening songs on her Spotify playlist. She didn't have to babysit anyone today, and knowing about her family situation at the moment, she thought that maybe it would be better if she didn't have to go see the Blank Boys perform soon. Her parents just got divorced, after her abusive father almost raped her and her elder sister, Lauren. By that, Candice is now staying with her mom and Lauren.
Nights like this got her kinda bored sometimes. When she was younger, she would go hide in her room if her parents were arguing. She used to be close to Lauren, until they got into middle school, when Lauren starts to avoid her. Over the years, their relationship got worst, since Lauren often times bad mouth her in front of their parents. Candice grew further from her sister, and at this point, she felt like she didn't have anyone to trust. Her mom had too much troubles to deal with, and her father was not much hope. In other words, Candice felt alone. The only thing that made her felt better in middle school, was only her friends, and of course, her crush towards Arthur. She never expected to got into a one night stand with him. It was beyond her expectation, but of course, she was happy for it. It was a dream come true, to love him in her arms even for only one night.
Since that night, she had grew more closer to Arthur. Now she had the courage to text him good morning everyday, and of course reminded him to not skip his breakfast. Though deep down she knew Arthur only wanted pure "friendship" at the moment, she was willing to patiently wait and even keep checking up on him every now and then. The doors are now open, she has the chance to make Arthur Stanley her's.
Again as the thought of him cross her mind, Candice pause the song that was playing on her phone. She decided to call Arthur and check up on him, and who knows? Maybe they could go out tonight, since she's already bored as hell, and honestly, she also misses him too much. Without any hesitation, Candice calls Arthur, but as she waits for the call to be answer, she was only left with the call not being answer.
Hmm..maybe he's busy. Candice thought.
Scene Screen Cinema, 9 PM...
Liana is waiting near the ticket counter, as Arthur had told her to wait for him as he wait in line to buy popcorns. As she waits for him to return with the popcorns, Liana decides to check on her phone. Of course, the first thing she would check on her phone is Instagram.
She scrolls through her feeds as all her friends posted pictures of their Saturday night. Lindsay is attending her cousin's wedding, Carter is having a family dinner, and Alyson and Sabrina are hanging out for ice cream.
"Hey!"
Liana took her vision away from her phone, to see Arthur standing in front of her with two big popcorns and two big chocolate drinks in hands. He has a small smile curved on his lips, which Liana thought was pretty cute. She eventually smile at sight of him. Arthur hands Liana one popcorn, before handing her one chocolate drink to go with it.
"Let's go! The movie's gonna start soon," says Arthur.
"Yup! Let's go," says Liana as the two walks inside the theater.
Meanwhile, at Seoul-Song Karaoke...
"There's nothing holding me back." Leo finished singing the last line to "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" by Shawn Mendes.
"Wohoo! Awesome, Leo," says Alexis as he cheers on his best friend.
"Thanks, Man," Says Leo while still holding the microphone. "So who's next?"
"Tiffany! She hasn't sing yet," says Tyler.
"Yeah! I wanna hear wo de baobei (my baby) sing," says George.
Seriously? This guy has terrible pronounciation! But whatever, my turn. Tiffany thought.
"What do you say, Tiff?" Leonard ask.
"Sure. Let me sing a song," says Tiffany with confidence, as Leonard hands her microphone.
"What song are you gonna sing, Eonnie?" Peggy ask.
"This is my favorite song. It's called "Mei" by Wang Lee Hom," says Tiffany.
"Oohh, sounds nice," says Tyler.
"Yeah, but anyway, has anybody seen Liam anywhere? Surely I bet he doesn't wanna miss seeing Tiff sing," says Alexis, a bit wondering where the hell did Liam went.
"He told me he was going to the toilet. But damn, that's long," says George.
"Not soo long!"
A familiar voice catches the group's attention, as Liam walks back inside the karaoke room. Only this time, he's not alone. He has two women hanging on beside him.
"Liam...." Leonard became confuse as he sees the two ladies standing beside Liam. Both of them had thick make-up on, and are dressed over-the-top.
"Who are these?" Leonard ask.
"Guys, meet Dahlia and Leslie! My gorgeous chicks," says Liam as he wraps his arms around the two giggling girls.
What the hell? Tyler thought.
Peggy stares at Leonard awkwardly, as she knew well that Leo had no ideas about the doumis. Yet, though he looks quite surprised, Leo tries his best to calm his mind and just let things flow.
"Ok..let's continue! Tiff's gonna sing," says Leonard as he walks back to his seat between Alexis and Peggy.
"Go, Tiff," says Tyler.
"Xiao Hua, jia you (Xiao Hua, spirits up!)," says George with a cheesy smile.
Bai tuo (please)! This guy has horrible zhongwen (Chinese language) skills! Tiffany thought.
"Oh yeah, and you wanna know what adds more fun?" Liam ask.
"What?" Leonard ask.
"Alcohol! I ordered two bottles of whiskey! Don't worry, drinks on me," says Liam as he wraps his hands around the two girls waist as they sit.
Oh boy. Peggy thought.
Meanwhile, at Vincent's house...
Vincent is watching science documentary on TV. Scarlett had asked him to accompany her to the movies, but he told her that he had homework to do, and also he wants to relax his mind and watch some science on TV.
Just when Vincent was in the middle of getting into the interesting part, he heard his doorbell rang. His mind wonder..who could be at his door on a Saturday at 9:30 PM? He was sure that all of his friends are going out.
Vincent turns the volume down and walks to open the door. Out of his surprise, he didn't expect to see her tonight, especially at this hour.
"Scarlett? What are you doing?" Vincent ask in curiousity.
"Is that really how you greet someone who came all the way to your house with snacks?" Scarlett ask in a sarcastic tone.
"Sorry...I was just surprised. Please, come in," says Vincent as leads Scarlett to the living room.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you I also brought cards," says Scarlett.
"Cards?" Vincent ask in confusion.
"Yup! Cards and snacks! I thought you and I could use some fun games tonight! And cards are lovely," says Scarlett as she pulls out a pack of cards from her bag.
"Ok, I only know how to play Blackjack," says Vincent.
"Don't worry! I'll teach you the rest," says Scarlett with a big smile.
At Seoul-Song Karaoke...
Leonard is washing his hands inside the toilet in their room, when someone knocks on the door. He is definetly a bit tipsy at this state, after he and the others got into a drinking and singing contest. He grab some tissues to wipe his hands and opens the door without thinking much. It was Peggy, standing with an awkward face.
"I don't wanna use the bathroom," says Peggy in an awkward tone.
"Umm, ok. So what are you doing?" Leonard ask.
"You looked, surprised back there," Peggy says in an awkward tone.
"Hey! No stress! It's ok. I know Liam can be a player at times," says Leonard. "Tonight is actually pretty nice."
"I'll say...George is singing some random Spanish song now. Tiffany didn't look impress though," says Peggy.
"Hahaha, he needs more struggle! That girl is a tough one," says Leonard as with a tipsy laugh.
"Yeah..she can be tough, but at least I'm soft, right?" Peggy ask as she sounds a bit flirty at this state. Of course, she is also under the control of alcohol.
"You're a fluffy cheese cake, Paige," says Leonard as he stares Peggy into the eyes. His vision later moves to her lips, which is covered in a light shade of peach lip gloss.
"Leo...I think you're cool," says Peggy impulsively. She didn't care if she's gonna expose her feelings tonight. She's just gonna let alcohol do all the work.
"Yeah, thanks," says Leo, not moving his attention away from her lips.
"You know what? I actually like you a lot...yet, I just thought you only see me as a friend," says Peggy. "I thought you liked Tiff.."
Before Peggy could finish her sentence, Leonard locks his lips on hers. Peggy didn't think twice to kiss him back with all her passion, letting everything be as it is now. They kissed for what felt like forever, and suddenly, they felt sparks flying in the air.
10:50 PM...
Arthur is driving Liana back home from the movies. The two had watched an action movie earlier, and are now talking about how great the movie is.
"Like seriously, I can't wait for their sequel next year," says Liana with a big smile.
"You bet," says Arthur.
It didn't took long for Arthur to arrive at Liana's home. He parked his car in front of her big mansion. At this hour, she assumed her parents are already asleep, so she's gonna have to be extra quiet when entering.
"Thanks for tonight, Arthur," says Liana.
"You're welcome! It was fun," says Arthur.
The two teenagers are now standing in front of Liana's mansion. Eyes meet eyes, yet either of them thought about saying a word. While Liana is still lost inside Arthur's eyes, Arthur already has his vision move to her lips. Under the night sky, he had to admit that Liana is still breath-takingly beautiful. Her blonde hair shines through the night, and her eyes sparkles like the stars.
As he stares at her beautiful red lips, he thought for a moment how right now, he just want her to be in his arms. Slowly, he gets closer to Liana, until their lips finally touch. They enter a beautiful french kiss, which both of them hope it would last the whole night.
