As Detective Lee woke up to the sound of footsteps approaching his room. Before he could gather his thoughts, the door flew open. "Octavius," Lee muttered Octavius didn't reply. Instead, he lunged towards Lee and restrained him with a thick rope. Lee struggled and tried to free himself, but Octavius was too strong for him. He produced a small vial of liquid from his pocket, and a food. Held it out towards Lee. "Drink and eat this," he ordered. "It will keep you alive, at least until we're done." Lee hesitated, but seeing no other choice, he reluctantly gulped down the liquid and eat the food. It tasted bitter and metallic, and he felt a sharp pang in his stomach. As Octavius are going to leave Lee in the room, Detective Lee couldn't help but ask Octavius a question that had been on his mind since yesterday. "Why did you become a criminal, Octavius?" he asked. "Why do you do these illegal things?" Octavius didn't respond right away. He took a deep breath and looked Detective Lee in his eyes. Detective Lee could feel the anger in Octavius eyes "It's complicated," he finally said. "It's not something that happened overnight. It's a long story." "I have time," Detective Lee replied. "I want to understand where you're coming from." Octavius told his whole story to Detective Lee Their parents had given Octavius away to a family on the other side of the country when he was a baby. Octavius had grown up in a rough neighborhood, surrounded by crime and violence. He had struggled to make ends meet, and had eventually turned to a life of crime to survive. Octavius had grown up in poverty, while Lee had been raised with the support of their parents and had gone on to become a successful detective. Octavius blamed Lee for his misfortunes and hated him for it. Lee was stunned. He had no idea that Octavius had been given away, and he couldn't understand why their parents would do such a thing. But the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. Octavius had always been angry and resentful, and now Lee knew why. Despite their complicated past, Lee knew that Octavius could be the key to catching Mr. Johnson's illegal transactions. Octavius had connections in the criminal underworld, and Lee hoped that he could use those connections to track down the elusive criminal. But Detective Lee remembered that Octavius is the reason why Attorney Yuna died. "But you're responsible for Attorney Yuna's death?" Lee asked, his voice trembling with anger. Octavius looked away. "I didn't mean for it to happen," he said. Lee felt a surge of rage. He had lost one of the important people he could trust, and it was all because of his own brother. "You're going to pay for what you've done, Octavius," Lee said, his voice cold. "I didn't do it," Octavius replied calmly. "I swear" Lee growled, leaning in closer to his brother. "You shot Attorney Yuna, and you're going to pay for it." "I didn't shoot Yuna," Octavius repeated, his voice steady. "I was there, yes, but it wasn't me who pulled the trigger." "Then who was it?" Lee demanded, his anger growing by the second. "You're the only one who had called Yuna, Octavius. You're the only one who had a reason to kill her." Octavius leaned back in the wall, a sly smile creeping across his face. "You're right, Lee. I did have a motive that's why I called her. But that doesn't mean I'm the one who did it." "Then who did?" Lee asked, his tone softening slightly. Octavius leaned forward, his voice dropping to a whisper. "It was the other person, Lee. The one we've been chasing for months. The one we thought was in hospital." Lee's eyes widened in shock. "You mean…?" "Yes," Octavius replied. "He's back. And he's more dangerous than ever." Lee sat back in the chair, trying to process what he was hearing. Octavius said, one of Mr. Johnson's associates, the shooting had been planned. Detective Lee's gut told him that Octavius was telling the truth, but he needed more evidence before he could act. As Detective Lee knows the truth, he asked a help from Octavius Octavius was hesitant to help Detective Lee.
