CHAPTER 27

Octavius and Detective Lee sat panting on the dusty wooden floor of the old cabin, their backs against the wall.
They could hear the exchanging sound of guns outside.
"I think Executive Eun break the code" Octavius said while catching his breath
"What do you mean?" Detective Lee asked curiously
"Well, that's complicated"
Just then, the door of the cabin flew open and Mr. Johnson stormed in, his gun aimed directly at the two of them.
"I've been looking for you two," he sneered.
Octavius stood up slowly, his hands in the air. "Set us free and we won't chase you anymore ."
Mr. Johnson's eyes narrowed, "You expect me to believe that? You two have been one step ahead of me this whole time."
Without hesitating, Mr. Johnson suddenly pulled out a gun and shot Octavius before Detective Lee could even react. Detective Lee felt a wave of shock and despair as he watched Octavius fall to the ground.
Detective Lee rushed to his side. "Octavius?"
"Come on Lee, it's not that I'm gonna die today."
"You should have stayed out of this, Detective," Mr. Johnson said with a smirk. "Now, it's just you and me."
Detective Lee tried to keep his cool despite the adrenaline pumping through his veins. "Why did you do it?" he asked, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him.
"Because he deserved it, he's a betrayal," Mr. Johnson replied, his eyes glinting with malice. "He was getting in the way of my plans. But you won't stop me, Detective Lee. No one can."
Detective Lee's mind raced as he searched for a way out of this deadly situation. He knew he had to keep Mr. Johnson talking, distract him long enough to make a move.
"Then why did you kill your own daughter?" Detective Lee asked while looking furiously in Mr. Johnson's eyes
Mr. Johnson's expression remained stoic as he responded, "I didn't want her to get in my way."
"In your way? In your way of what?" Lee pressed.
"My business. My legacy. She was always so concerned with justice and morality, but sometimes you have to do what it takes to get ahead in this world," Mr. Johnson explained.
Lee shook his head in disbelief. "You killed your own daughter because she didn't agree with your unethical business practices?"
Mr. Johnson shrugged. "She was too idealistic. She would have ruined everything I've built."
Lee's mind raced as he tried to make sense of the situation. "What about Octavius? He served you all of his life!"
Mr. Johnson scoffed. "Do you think I care? He was just a pawn in all of this. I couldn't let him ruin my plans."
Lee couldn't believe the coldness in Mr. Johnson's tone. "Your plans? You mean murdering your own daughter and anyone who gets in your way?"
"It's a harsh reality, but sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good," Mr. Johnson replied, unfazed.
Lee shook his head. "You're sick. You're going to pay for what you've done."
Mr. Johnson merely smiled. "We'll see about that, Detective but what are you going to do, you're the next."
Mr. Johnson let out a low, menacing chuckle.
"You're a brave man, Detective. But bravery won't save you now."
He cocked the gun, and Detective Lee closed his eyes, bracing himself for the inevitable.
But just as Mr. Johnson was about to pull the trigger, a loud voice shouted by Octavius.
"Stop!"
Detective Lee opened his eyes and saw Octavius.
Octavius still manage to stand even though he is in pain.
"Octavius, no! Are you stupid?" Lee shouted.
But it was too late. Mr. Johnson fired, and Octavius fell to the ground.
Lee was in shock. He had never seen anything like this before. Octavius had taken a bullet for him. He could feel the weight of his twin brother's sacrifice on his shoulders.
Meanwhile, As Detective Lee approached the cabin, he heard the sound of a gun firing twice. He knew that he had to be careful.
He drew his own gun and slowly keep moving forward at the cabin, keeping an eye out for any movement.
As he entered the cabin, he saw a figure standing in the shadows. Before he could react, the figure stepped forward into the light. It was Mr. Johnson.
Eun instinctively reacted and drew his gun. In one swift motion, he fired at Johnson. Eun wasted no time and shot him twice, and Johnson fell to the ground, dead.
The sound of the gun echoed through the room, and blood began to flow out of Mr. Johnson's body and onto the floor.
As Mr. Johnson fell to the ground, Executive Eun approached him cautiously, his gun still drawn.
Mr. Johnson wasn't moving. He wasn't even breathing now.
Detective Lee was in shock he didn't expect that was going to happen. " Executive Eun" Detective Lee said
