CHAPTER 28

Executive Eun stood in front of Detective Lee, her hands tightly clasped together as she nervously shifted her weight from foot to foot.
"What happened?" Executive Eun demanded, his voice low and urgent.
Detective Lee hesitated, biting her lip. "He shoot by Mr. Johnson twice," he finally admitted. " He save my life, and Octavius got hit instead of me."
Executive Eun strode over to Octavius, crouching down beside him. "Is he going to make it?"
"I don't know," Detective Lee said, hus voice shaking. "He's lost a lot of blood."
Executive Eun cursed under his breath, then turned back to Eun. "We need to get out of here. Can you walk?"
Lee nodded, and with Executive Eun's help, he got to his feet. They half-carried, half-dragged Octavius out of the cabin and into the woods beyond.
As they stumbled through the trees, Lee kept a sharp eye out for any sign of pursuit. As the SWAT team and Rachel, Executive Eun's second-in-command following them
Finally, they reached a clearing, where Eun had stashed a car earlier. They piled into the vehicle, with Lee in the backseat cradling Octavius's head in his lap.
"Where are we going?" Detective Lee asked, his voice quivering.
"We need to get Octavius to a hospital," Executive Eun said grimly. "And then we'll gonna report what happened earlier."
The rest of the ride was silent, except for the sound of Detective Lee's quiet sobs and Octavius's labored breathing. Executive Eun drove as fast as he dared, his mind racing with questions and possibilities. Is there any bond between them? And why Octavius will save Lee's life while in the first place there are both don't know each other yet? But Executive Eun realize that it is not the right time to ask Detective Lee
Finally, they arrived at the hospital, where Octavius was rushed into surgery. Lee and Eun waited anxiously in the waiting room, their minds still reeling from what happened.
"I don't understand," Eun said finally, breaking the silence. "What is Octavius for you? Why are you like that with him?"
"You seem to care about him a great deal" Executive Eun added
Detective Lee's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?" he asked, his tone defensive.
"I mean that Octavius save you and you said that when we're at the old-cabin, and why would he do that if your bond for each other is not that strong enough?," Executive Eun said, his voice rising slightly. "And I don't understand why."
Detective Lee hesitated for a moment, then seemed to make a decision. "Octavius is my twin brother," he said, his voice low and measured.
Executive Eun felt her jaw drop open. "Your twin brother?" he repeated, his mind struggling to process this new information.
"Yes," Detective Lee said, his gaze steady. "We were separated at birth and only recently found each other again."
"I had no idea," Executive Eun said, his voice softening. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," Detective Lee said, his expression softening. "I haven't told anyone else. I wanted to keep it quiet, to protect Octavius."
Executive Eun nodded slowly. "I understand," he said. "But you have to understand that there are risks involved in keeping secrets like this."
"I know," Detective Lee said, his voice heavy. "But I can't turn my back on my own flesh and blood."
Executive Eun sighed. "I can appreciate that," he said. "But you have to be careful. Octavius is involved in some dangerous things, and I'm afraid you might get caught up in it."
"I know," Detective Lee said. "But I can't just abandon him."
Executive Eun nodded. "I understand," he said again. "But please, be careful. For your own sake."
Detective Lee nodded, a hint of gratitude in his eyes. "Thank you," he said quietly. "I will."
They fell silent again, lost in their own thoughts. Hours passed, and finally, a doctor emerged from the surgery room.
"Is he okay?" Detective Lee asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The doctor looked grave. "He's stable, but it was touch-and-go for a while. He's going to need to stay here for a few days, at least."
Lee and Eun breathed a sigh of relief, then turned to each other. "What do we do now?" Eun asked.
