Chapter 20 The Thread of Fate

Antherius is a city located in Fedelion. A country that has a lot of secrets in it, but the most striking thing is the existence of a destruction that occurred 100 years ago, precisely in the city of Antherius. An incident that caused everyone down to the current generation to suffer prolonged suffering while breathing under the sky of Fedelion. The government is trying to find a solution to all of this and the reality is far beyond expectations. Therefore every soul in this country must inevitably accept their terrible fate. The horror shared the nightmare that had always been a terror for all of them, and Gabriel was no exception. Right now he is sleeping in his subconscious. There he saw a city that was destroyed by fire and looked familiar. Gabriel who continued to stare at him in surprise made himself run around the place but found himself nowhere to be found. The gruesome sight made him agonize every second. The many people who died they all seemed to have been massacred by someone. Gabriel who was standing there with a look of agony in his eyes made himself scream loudly. It wasn't long before he saw the figure of a dark-colored entity staring at him at that time. Gabriel who was curious about his presence made him have to approach the entity and in the blink of an eye he was stabbed by a thin and sharp iron in the heart. This made Gabriel wake up with a cold sweat on his face. Again it was just a dream.
“Aghhhh……huh? unlucky. What's that?" Gabriel said breathlessly with sweat covering his face.
"This has gone too far. How could I dream of dying and it was so horrible. Wait what time is it now?”
As soon as Gabriel looked at the clock and saw that it was already dawn, he didn't go back to sleep and was daydreaming alone. The dark room in Samuel's residence felt gripping and then Gabriel was startled by the sound of his cell phone. When he saw what was on his phone, it turned out to be a call from Jonathan. He picked it up quickly.
"Hello? Joe? Hello?" Gabriel kept saying a word but Joe didn't answer.
"Hey, what's wrong? reply me!"
'Did this kid accidentally call me. Damn it, Gabriel thought.
Joe kept not answering until finally Gabriel ended the call and then lay back down waiting for the morning. Samuel was still asleep in his room and only Gabriel was awake. A moment later he heard a familiar voice. The chanting of the soft melody sounded in his ears clearly. It's getting closer and closer. Gabriel who was surprised by the voice then looked at the pocket watch on the table near his bed. It was hard to believe that the clock was on and it was now 4 in the morning. At first Gabriel didn't turn it on and just kept it there. The melody that sounded at the clock made him feel goosebumps. Don't know what happened, but that's how he felt. He quickly closed the clock and it was no longer ringing. His face still looks scared, he suddenly feels uncomfortable with what happened just now. Anxiety started to run around his head and it grew stronger. 4 hours later Gabriel got out of bed and he was about to go to the bathroom. As soon as he was right in front of the bathroom and he was looking in the mirror the mirror shattered for no reason and it took him by surprise.
"Good grief. What the hell."
“Hey, what happened? Why is it so noisy?” shouted Samuel who was in the kitchen making breakfast.
"No. It is nothing."
Seeing the strangeness Gabriel didn't care about it until he finally finished from the bathroom. When Samuel had prepared his breakfast then he checked the bathroom and found a lot of broken mirrors all over the bathroom floor. Samuel quickly tidied it up. Didn't feel anything strange for him and immediately threw the broken mirror into the trash.
"Are you mad? You broke the mirror," Samuel said to Gabriel who was sitting at the dining table.
"Hah? Who's angry?"
"Then what happened in the bathroom?"
“It just suddenly broke the glass and I didn't do anything really. It's impossible, but it's a fact."
"I know. If you're angry, there's bound to be some blood on it."
"Oh yeah, actually lately I've been having weird dreams and this time it was really scary. What do you think that is a sign?”
"It's just a sleeping flower. Maybe you're really tired or you're starting to get stressed because it was a bad dream.”
"Stressed huh? Once consulted and there were no such signs. The doctor just said I was tired and that's all."
"Then you go to the fortune teller over there."
"That's terrible."
"Don't you want to know. So go there."
"Oh shit. What kind of advice is that.”
"No need if you don't want to. After all, their predictions are sometimes wrong. You don't have to believe it."
"Good grief."
Somewhere that looks beautiful. The atmosphere matches the weather today. A woman stands on a rooftop and looks up at the city from above. Her long black hair was flowing and blowing in the wind. The woman had a necklace that looked like a certain emblem.
"You were there. What about the results?” said someone who came to him. The person wore a strange white mask and was dressed like a cloak.
"What result?"
“The chairman gave all the orders to you and have you done it as the chairman wanted?”
"Oh, that's what it looks like. If I were you. You shouldn't have to ask that," the woman said as she turned to the person and suddenly the person in front of her was beheaded. His head rolled on the floor and his body immediately collapsed.
The silence that filled the place grew colder and colder. The woman looked at the body in front of her with a cold face. not long after that the woman left the place in the blink of an eye. Blood continued to flow in the area which was an uninhabited building located in the center of Antherius city. At the same time in a museum owned by Thomas this time the workers there were not too busy. Visitors can only be counted on the fingers. Those who come there are only tourists. Leo, who was now in his room, then he was curious about something where in the document was written the title "That Day." Leo kept flipping through all the documents to find out what it was and he couldn't find it nor did he look for it on the internet to no avail.
Gabriel was walking around the city and soon he saw a building like a shop. Without lingering he entered the place and so entered the many shops there. When viewed from the outside, it looks like a normal building, but once you enter, it turns out to be quite interesting. Gabriel rarely goes outside because he doesn't really like crowds. But since he lived at Samuel's house, things have changed over time. There he looked around and there were many people there. Until there was a place that attracted him and then he entered that place. when he got there Gabriel saw the doors that had unique decorations. He opened one of the doors and it turned out that inside there was an old woman wearing clothes like a fortune teller in general. His face is not too old, maybe around 50 years old. Gabriel then sat across from him and the old woman was busy with the tarot cards in front of her. Gabriel, who was still looking at the surrounding area, his room looked both good and unique because it was his first time coming to a place like this.
“ Le Diable . Your luck is quite unlucky," said the fortune teller to Gabriel who was in front of him with a calm face while showing the card.
"What?"
“The devil, Symbolizes fear, temptation, and doom. There is a fear of self that hinders progress. That's what you're experiencing right now."
"I see, actually I came here by chance."
“There are no coincidences. But destiny. You came to this place because you were fated.”
"Destiny? Wait, what does this mean?”
“Believe it or not, it's up to you. But your feet stepped here clearly shows your destiny. Is there any other problem young man?” said the fortune teller, looking at him sharply. Gabriel gulped for a moment.
“There is something I think has something to do with this. But I'm still not sure about that. how do you explain it."
“If you are in doubt then forget it.”
"Lately I don't mean that since I entered college there have been a lot of strange things and it feels real. At the start of the day, when I found something and things started to get worse. What does it mean? what is a curse?”
“ Le Pendu. the need for sacrifice in self and others. You came to the right place.”
"What? you mean i will die? What sacrifice do you mean?”
“You will find out with time and based on your vision. You know what I mean young man."
'What the hell that feels unbelievable,' Gabriel thought
“My sight? What does all that mean?”
“It would be very dangerous if you didn't figure it out yourself. Therefore be careful. If you need any more help you can come here.”
"Oh yes. Thank you."
After Gabriel came out of that place, he felt something odd. That person's words continued to stick in his head and then Gabriel walked around the location then saw a shop which made him curious. Slowly he came into the shop and everyone there looked at him with unusual eyes and then went back to their activities. The people in this place had the same eye color as him and it made Gabriel feel surprised because it was only him and his uncle.

Creativity that sharpens clarity is genius.” I put this first because it's the most important tip you can take from this list. If you do nothing more than write clearly, you're going to be in the top 10% of all writers. Don't try to sound impressive, just try to be clear.

The writing is actually good, unlike most of the novel in this app it has great grammar, not my type of book since it's a crime genre but i recommend it to those who likes that type of book.
