ALORA EMBRY
"Lady Alora..." I turned around and saw the Crown Prince.
"Huh? uh, Your Highness." I bow my head and he cleared his throat.
"I was here on behalf of His Highness; I want to apologize if he offended you."
"Why don't he behave like a royalty in the first place? such a disappointment."
"Don't worry for he will not do this act again." I nod and said my thanks.
"Please remind him that he is not in Wren, I won't accept another sorry if this happens again. Once again thank you, Your Highness."
"Goodbye, My Lady." I bow my head and when the prince finally left I go back to my room and take my dinner there. The next day I didn't see the students from Wren and I'm thankful for that and as days pass we are now finally going to the church. Together with Hayes and Leticia's friends, we help the people there. We distribute food and clothes while Leticia helps sick persons.
I watch as she cures them, she held them gently and she can cure any disease. In a year or two, I think she will declare as a saint.
"Woah a light user." I look beside me with a surprised face, why is he here? "Why are you looking at me like that? Do you not happy that you see me?"
It's been a week since the last time I saw his face, I thought he had finally moved on since they will leave tomorrow.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, we are visiting the capital then I saw you. You think it's destiny?"
"Forgive me Your Majesty, but did you forget? I already made it clear I am not interested in you."
"Don't say that you're hurting me. What should I do for you to like me?"
"Do nothing, if Your Highness will leave now so I can do again my work."
"I'll help." He smiled widely and I was about to walk out when Hayes suddenly appeared.
"I greet the Second Prince, what are you doing here Your Highness?"
Second Prince. I thought he was the Crown Prince because last time he said that he will make me his queen. This crazy prince just thinking he'll revolt what a creep.
"To see my future wife, now if you could leave us alone I will appreciate it."
"Pardon me, what are you saying Your Highness?" I sighed and force myself to smile.
"Your Highness Daniel, could we talk later?"
"Really? Sure!"
"Then could you leave now and wait for me in the academy. Maybe your friends were already finding you, again." I smiled and showed the way. "See you later..."
"Okay! I will find you myself later and make sure that you won't hide."
"Yeah." When he started to walk I turned my back and suddenly I feel the chills down to my spine.
"My Lady what-" Hayes who was talking stopped when we heard a loud boom. We both look at the church and my mouth drops. When the Castle was founded it was said that they next build is the church, the old church preserve until now. And now seeing the church ruined it was like an insult to the Imperial family.
Hayes rushed towards the church and help the people there; I was also about to help when the prince stop me. He was holding my arm firmly while looking at the burned church. I stared at his blank face as I heard people screaming for help.
"What are you doing? let go."
"I won't let you go inside there; do you want to hurt yourself?"
"I'm not that weak, so let go of me."
"Looking at you honestly you are not a person who will do things like this. Am I right?"
"Yes, but there are kids there and I can't just stand here and watch. I'm not a statue Your Highness."
"I don't understand."
"Then think." He let go of me and I go to a fountain, I controlled the water there. The ball of water was now on top of the church and when I let it go it poured into the burned church and in just a minute the fire stopped. I breathed hard and go inside to help the stuck civilians there when everyone is finally outside we made another look inside to make sure that no one was left out.
I look around and half of them were hurt, priests help Leticia to cure the wounded persons while the nun are calming the kids.
"Is there anything we can do to help?" I look at Hayes who asks the priest.
"Can you accompany me to get some bandages?"
"Yes." I was treating the wounds of kids and when I was done, someone pulled my dress.
"Pretty sister, can you help me?" I look at the girl who was asking for my help, I nodded and suddenly remember my younger siblings. Are they doing well in our manor? "Can you help me on finding my mother?"
"Sure, can you describe your mother?"
"She was wearing a red dress and her hair was tied."
"Okay. Let's find her now." I held his small hands and started to find a woman who was wearing a red dress, I ask some priests and they said they didn't see one. When I was already on Leticia's side where she cures critical patients I spotted a woman wearing a red dress. "I already found her."
We approach her and she was safe and was finding her daughter, luckily they are both fine. I stared at Leticia and by looking at her I can say that she was now on her limit.
"Leticia..." she immediately look at me after she healed the old man.
"My Lady, is there someone who needs my help?" I shake my head and sighed.
"You should rest, look at you. If I were to nudge you I'm sure you'll fall, most of the patients who need to be attended as soon as possible were now okay. No one seems to be in the critical condition. You don't have to treat them all because in a minute sorcerers will be here."
"Thank you, My Lady, but I can still work." I rolled my eyes and made her sleep; her face and lips were pale. Then Hayes approaches me and I give Leticia to him.
"She will wake in an hour so make sure that she will rest, when she woke up made her drink water."
"You also work hard, Lady Alora. Thank you." I just nod and watch them leave, when I survey the area I didn't see Prince Daniel again. When the aid came they check all of us and it was the Crown Prince who led the investigation about this incident.
I informed my parents about this and that day I received a letter telling me that they will come to the capital. They don't state their purpose and hide it again from me. Even him, he won't say a single word about the thing they were doing.
I didn't expect that after the church that was burned, the next thing to happen was beasts started to attack the civilians in the east which is why they sent me to subjugate it.
"Are you done, My Lady?" I look at Hayes and nod. My clothes, Hayes, and the Imperial knights' armor were soaked with blood it was exhausting. They keep coming and coming and It was kinda annoying.
"Yes." I take a deep breath and sat there, then a lady handed us a drink and food.
"Thank you."
"Thank you, My Lady, for killing the beast. We are truly indebted to the imperial knights and even to you."
"After eating everyone should take a rest and tomorrow we will get back on capital."
"Yes!"
When we got back I wrote a letter to check the manor and my brothers, I felt relieved when they were all fine there. While waiting for my family to arrive at the capital, the academy... the next that was attacked by beasts was the academy. It happened when we are all peacefully sleeping. And that day I finally understand everything, It made sense. Now I know why they are hiding this from me.
Because anytime, war may break out.
