"No, I'm not. I'm mad at myself, can't believe that this Is not the first time."
"Then better to start making up to me, I'm fine with that." He nodded and after that, he buried his face again in my neck.
"I won't leave again."
"Are you sure? I doubt that, Damien." He look sad after that because he knew that once we graduate, he will focus on his lesson and won't be able to leave Levan to visit me.
"Yeah, your right."
"I wonder after the war and we do graduate and part ways, when will I see you again?" I think deeply and I heard him sigh.
"I also don't know; you'll get busy once we graduate until you became the head of your family your work will continue to pile up. While me, I will probably join my brothers in the subjugation then I will try to join the social circle."
"Then when will our engagement be held?"
"Let's plan that once the war end."
"Yes, let's do it." I laugh at the look on his face, I can't read him well.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Nothing." I pinch his cheeks until they reddened, he didn't complain and just let me.
"I am scared that one of us won't make it." I stop pinching his cheeks and shrug. "This was the same feeling when we are defeating the dragon. I can't stop my thoughts that time, what if we won't defeat it and we all die? I had cold feet that time when I saw the red dragon that almost killed everyone. And now we are fighting in the front line."
"Hm, are you thinking that I should just stay here and do nothing?"
"Yes, but I know that you will still join and won't listen to me."
"Damien, we need everyone who can help if we do want to win this war. It's fine, it's fine if you got scared at having a cold feet that's normal. And don't think that one of us will die, have faith in yourself, in me."
"Yes, I'll try."
"Just trust yourself." He nodded and I smiled at him. "Good."
"Promise that you will stay alive."
"I promise." He gently smiles but he can't still remove the worry in his eyes. I move on top of him and make the first move and kiss him on his lips. At first, he didn't respond he just froze there but after a minute he kiss me back.
I felt him tighten his grip on my waist, pushing his tongue deeper into my mouth.
He laid me down on the bed and now was on top of me. He looks at me and caresses my face once again before kissing me once again.
That kiss was so intense that my whole shivered. I close my eyes as I grip his hair.
"Should I take your clothes off?" his voice was deep and hoarse. I gulp and nod.
"Yes." He closed his eyes and when he opened them I can see his eyes burning and without hesitation, his hands travel and gripped my legs.
"I love you Alora."
"I hate you." He laughed and kiss me hard once again. This was different from the days we spent together.
The ways he touch me slowly and hold me were different from before.
Still, I wish this pleasure will last longer.
"I love you too, Damien."
I was half-asleep when I heard Damien talking I just fully awakened when I saw him buttoning his shirt.
"Where are you going?"
"I will go outside for a moment." I nodded and yawned. I didn't bother to get up and just close my eyes.
"Bring some food, make it fast, okay?"
"Yes, Ma'am." He kissed my forehead before leaving, I stayed in the bed and continue my sleep. When I woke up, I saw him beside me and was reading a book.
"Did you have a good rest?"
"Yes, where did you go?"
"I met Crown Prince Bryce; he was having a round with the Imperial knights and he told me that they are started to devise a plan."
"When they will need us?"
"They will contact us, for now on they will monitor the enemy's movement of the battleships in Eastern Seaport. The knights will be on their posts possible is by tomorrow, that's all that he said to me."
"Hm, you buy food, right?"
"Yes, do you want to eat now?"
"Mm, I'm hungry."
"Get dressed then I will serve our food." I nodded and get my dress that was resting on the couch. I wash my body and approach Damien. We eat silently after that to burn calories we do exercise. We locked ourselves in his room until my father sent a letter after three days.
"Are you sure, you are fine?"
"Yes, let's go now." We ride a horse and when we arrive at the palace we are welcomed by Hayes and Leticia, he told us that the knights were on the training grounds and the council and His Majesty were still in the meeting.
"Brother."
"Hey."
"It's good that you two are already here, you should teach them. I was disappointed to them swinging a sword like a lady." We all watch Brother Kaden leave and I look at the knights who look exhausted then I saw Frederick there.
"What happened to him? I saw you were all pretty good at annoying him." I said that to the knights and laugh while their faces look scared.
"Your brother was not satisfied by the new knights' swordsmanship," Frederick said and I nod.
"He sure has a thin patience," I said and Frederick and others made a nervous smile.
"Why don't you tell that to your brother?" said Damien and I glare at him but he just laugh at me.
"Ha-ha. Do you want me to get killed?"
"Uh, Lady Alora Is it alright for your brother to leave like that? Well, since the commander of knights was absent it was your father who told him to monitor the knights." I look at Leticia and sighed.
"It's fine, there is no point in telling him to go back here. We will look at the knights and Damien and Sir Hayes were here too. Are they new recruits?"
"Yes, let's divide them."
"Okay." It was a large group and some of them were a bit sloppy, now I know why my brother was irritated. "Hey, stand straight."
"S-Sorry!"
"And you, your posture is awkward!" when they were already done by swinging their swords 100 times.
"Make a run around and after 10 laps rest for about 10 minutes," Hayes ordered them and I sat as I watch them run around the huge training ground.
"They must be well trained before sending to the battlefield if they still do want to live." They agree to that and after they have a rest we continue teaching them. I still see no improvement on the first day but I hope that after a week they will learn.
"We greet the Head of Astley." We all greet father who suddenly showed up.
"Alora."
"Yes, father?"
"I do not see Kaden, where is he?"
"He left an hour ago, I thought he joined the meeting. He didn't?"
"No."
"He must be in his room, resting?"
"Just why is your brother suddenly acting strange, if you see him tell him that I want to talk to him."
"Yes, father."
"I will go now, everyone sorry for the interruption. Thank you for your hard work."

"Brother was acting strange?" I look at Damien and he shrugs.

"What if I tell this to brother? He will beat you again."
"Yes, did I say something like that? I said everyone let's got back to training!" He clapped his hands and the knights look at him with wide eyes because they were taking a break. "No complains!"
