Sarah bought three brownies, two peanut butter, and oatmeal cookies. I hope she loves it as much as carlon does.
"Did you visit mom?" I asked him.
"Yes. We ate lunch there," Carlon said. "Did you eat lunch already?" he asked.
"Not yet. I'm not yet hungry," I said
"Are you skipping meals?" he asked again. "That's why you're losing weight. You have to eat on time." he scolded me.
I smiled at him, "I'll eat later. Don't worry about me. I can eat whenever I get hungry. I have so many to choose from here in the store." I chuckled.
"Okay. We'll go ahead. Don't forget to eat," My brother is so sweet and caring again. I always love it when he does that.
"Take care. Hope to see you again, Sarah. Thanks for buying."
I checked out the website to check if there were any orders.
[five orders to deliver on saturday]
I am shocked. Our huge order so far.
I texted Julia.
[We have five dozen orders of brownies for Saturday delivery. I'm excited! But don't worry, I can bake if you guys are not available.]
I continued working and wiped the dust on the shelves.
"You have a huge order for next week?" he asked.
"Yes, we do. I'm excited." I said. I got motivated to work and bake more.
"You must have been so tired the whole day. Imagine working 8-10 hours every day here at the store, and you'll bake for the remaining hours. How many hours do you sleep?" He said. Worriedly.
"I'm still young. I can still do it," I said. "besides, I love what I'm doing, so it doesn't feel like work."
"Well, it's true. You're still young but don't overwork. You might collapse for being so tired." He warned me.
Julia and Dylan arrived at the store together, but I could see that Julia wasn't in a good mood.
"What happened?" I asked her.
"She's jealous," Dylan chuckled.
"You love making me jealous," Julia said.
"Babe, I told you she was the one who keeps approaching me." Oh, no. He looks annoyed now.
"Distance yourself. That girl is such a flirt. If I saw her being flirty with you again, I swear I'm going to pull her hair."
Oh! Jealous Julia was scary. I left them arguing at the back of the store.
I was standing at the counter, looking so bored because we didn't have a customer yet. People often visit the shop during rush hours and breaks from school and work. Since it's only four in the afternoon, I'm pretty sure there are only a few customers at this time of the day, so I went outside to have some fresh air with Roman.
Roman glanced at Julia and Dylan.
"Don't mind them. It's just a lovers quarrel," I said.
"I'm afraid they would throw our products to each other," he said.
"No, they wouldn't do that." I chuckled.
Suddenly, a man sits beside me. It was Colin.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Nothing. I'm bored, so I walked around the city and saw you here." he smiles at me. Roman was about to give us some time, but Colin didn't let him leave as he wanted to have a conversation with us.
"Are you working, Colin?" Roman asked him.
"I am," he smiled.
"What's your work?"
"I'm a model,"
"I thought you were an actor. You could be an actor. You're a very handsome man," Roman complimented him. I chuckled at what he said.
"I appreciate that. I'm just a part-time model. But I will be staying here since I have a contract for three months. My cousin was living here. I stayed in his apartment."
"Where are you from?" roman asked curiously. I was listening to their conversation.
"I'm from Scandinavia,"
"That explains your blue eyes," roman said.
"I remember seeing you at a cafe, holding a guitar," I asked Colin.
Yeah. I am playing the guitar, I sing,"
I smiled sheepishly at what he said.
"After you're modeling contract. where are you going?" I asked.
"I'm going back to my family," he said, smiling.
"You're own family?" I asked just to be sure.
"Yes. I have a six months old baby boy there," he showed us a picture of his family.
Oh! He's married. I should stop hoping he'll like me, but actually, I didn't get hurt when he said he has his own family. I may have a crush on him, but not to a point I'll ruin his son's family.
Cara reminds me so much of my younger sister. I think she's the same age as you," He said.
"Really? I can be your little sister while you're here," I said, laughing with him.
A group of guys was heading to the store, so I went inside to assist them.
Julia and Dylan are okay now, I guess.
