AUSTIN'S POV
I spent a lot of time on Hope these past few days. We are always in her place or with her friends. She always brings me along with her. Instead of going to Julia's place to help with the orders, she will always say that Julia and Cara can do it without my help.
She is so clingy, but I let her be. Hope distracted me from thinking of cara and that damn kiss. It bothers me so much that is why I became like this. I asked Hope if she could be my girlfriend when I was so drunk in the bar, and of course, she agreed right away. After becoming a couple, she always wanted to be with me almost 24/7. But to be honest, I don't feel the love in the relationship.
The night I asked her to be my girlfriend, we went to the park with her friends. She was so drunk that night and wanted to kiss me. We were disrupted when a loud motorcycle passed and stopped in front of a girl. It was Cara. I know cara very well, and I know she's looking at us, especially hope and me.
I was stunned when I realized she saw me kissing another woman, so Hope got mad when I declined her kisses. I got home with a notification. Hope wants to change our relationship status on our social media. I saw nothing wrong with it, so I accepted.
Many of our friends liked our posts. Hope is gorgeous, but she is very different compared to Cara.
A few days have passed, and I still don't go nor contacted cara and Julia. I know I shouldn't include Julia, but you can't separate those two. Wherever cara is, expect Julia to be there.
While I was in my room, having some rest and scrolling down on my social media. I saw a man tagged cara on a post. It was a blurred photo of her, and she was laughing. I accidentally liked the post, and I was so annoyed. What if she thinks I was stalking her.
I also wonder who the guy is because I have never seen him before. I clicked the profile and stalked the guy.
His name is David, and he seems to be older than us. Not too old, but maybe 2-3 years older than us. His account wasn't in private, so I was able to view his posts and photos.
According to his account, he is already working, and they graduated from the same school in high school.
Maybe they knew each other from a mutual friend.
I need to know more about that guy, and only Julia can help me.
The next day.
I decided to go to Julia's place to help them bake and prepare the orders.
Her mom opened the gate for me, and I found cara baking brownies and Julia baking cookies.
"Oh! You're here!" Julia said, looking at me while mixing the cookie dough.
Cara looked at me for a while, then turned his head.
"What can I help?" I asked Julia
"Oh! We bought new ingredients to stock. Can you put it in their designated box," she said.
"Okay," I did what she said, and after that, I took out my laptop to check the orders.
"Julia, the smores brownies are done. You can take a picture of it now," Cara said.
"Austin, take a picture of this. We'll try selling this too, that's why we need to take a photo for the website,"
I just did what Julia asked me to do. I glanced at cara, and she acted like I was never here. So I did the same. Julia was looking at us and shaking her head.
"Why don't you talk to each other. You two were acting like a child. Talk about your problems. You're annoying me,"
Cara and I glanced at each other, but she turned his head away quickly.
She distanced herself from me and kept herself busy.
"Cara, you can put this on your mom's store for a free taste to her customers, and this one was for the convenience store," Julia said to her.
"The brownies left in the oven will be for our classmates," Julia smiled and looked at me. I just nodded at what she said.
Cara immediately left after baking and packing.
I was still at Julia's place, sitting outside their backyard. She sat beside me and let a deep sigh.
"Why don't you talk to her?" she said and rolled her eyes on me.
"What for?" I asked.
"I think she likes you, Julia admitted.
"Why do you think so?" I said with a furrowed brow.
"She will not kiss you if she doesn't have feelings for you, and Cara was not even that drunk to blame the alcohol for her actions," she said.
"That's not true. I kiss Hope every time, but I don't have feelings for her," I said. "Cara can do that too," I added.
"Then why are you so affected?" her voice is now annoyed.
"I was getting my hopes up, and she'll say she regretted kissing me. I was so hurt and now tell why is she bothered too?"
"She's bothered because she likes you but was afraid to ruin your friendship. She chose to be just friends because friendship will last instead of a freaking relationship that only lasts for months."
"What does he think of me? I can make it last with her." I saw Julia smile at what I said.
"Why don't you confess already?"
"But I have a girlfriend now, and she's dating too." I sighed in defeat.
"She's not dating anyone. The guy she had a dinner date with was a set up of her friend."
"Why did you even ask Hope to be your girlfriend? We all know she sleeps around with different men. Are you one of her men now?" She bluntly said.
"No. We kissed, but I never did anything dirty with Hope. I wouldn't do that,"
"End your relationship with her. The longer you're together, the more complicated it will be to you and cara,"
"I will confess." I made up my mind. I could lose her more if I didn't confess sooner.
Cara, you're such a headache. If you like me, why didn't you tell me? Oh, my bad. I should be the one confessing instead of her since I was the one who fell in love first. I miss Cara. I couldn't go to the convenience store because I was mad. I couldn't message her because I was also shy with my behavior. How can I say I fell in love with her when she saw me kissing another girl. Will she believe me? Aghhhh! We're both a mess, Cara!
"Oh! Who's the guy she was with the other day?" I asked Julia.
