LUCY
After Nora left, I lay down on the bed. I must have fallen asleep in the process. I woke up when my phone wouldn't stop ringing. I groaned. I knew it would be Mira or Kelvin. Those two are pains in the neck. The call ended and I sighed. I decided to check who the call was. I picked up my phone. I picked up my phone. It was Kelvin. I dropped my phone on the table and stood up from the bed to get a bottle of water from the fridge. I opened the fridge but it was empty. "I will just get one from the kitchen," I thought. I made for the door but stopped when my phone rang. It was Kelvin again. I rolled my eyes. He had promised to call me, so we could continue our discussion from where we stopped. I batted my lashes as I pick the call. "Hey"
"I've been calling you for ages. Where the hell did you keep your phone?" Kelvin yelled. I had to pull the phone away from my ear
"You're yelling"
"Why won't I yell? I thought you were dead or something"
I rolled my eyes. Is he serious right now? "You thought I was dead or something?. How could you even think that way?". I opened the door and stepped out of my room.
"I called you so many times and you wouldn't even pick up my call, you didn't call back or send me a text message. I was so worried. You know how much I care about you"
I rolled my eyes. "I know but you shouldn't think that way"
He sighed. "I'm sorry. I was just being concerned"
I closed my eyes and opened it. I wanted to say something when I saw Nora dragging her bags. I batted my lashes. "Is she planning to leave or something? She did tell me she was leaving. Or was this one of the things she discussed with Mira?" I thought. I had to tell Kelvin I will call him later. I cut the call to talk to her. Though at first, she was adamant, I was able to make her stay back. She agreed to play games with me tonight and then leave tomorrow morning. I will be leaving tomorrow too.

We had fun playing games together. Nora wouldn't stop bragging about how good she was. Though I was the one who allowed her to win, she wouldn't accept that. "Yes!!!. I won again" she shrieked happily. I watched her celebrate her victory and I smiled. I feel kinda bad I'll be using her as bait to get back at Jasper. She is just too innocent for that. She reminds me so much of my ex.
Though she might be more beautiful than Julia, they are both stubborn and very good at hiding their feelings. "Maybe that's the reason, I'm so free with her. The reason I can sit with her and not feel irritated" I thought. She...
"Lucian!!" Nora yelled, jolting me out of my thought
I batted my lashes. "What?"
"I've been calling you for a while now, are you ok?"
I rolled my eyes. "Yes. Are you ok too?"
She nodded. "Yea I am, I'm just a bit hungry"
I stood up quickly. This is a way of getting away from her for a while. I will be able to have my thought to myself. "I will get you something to eat"
She nodded. Fries and Coke will do"
I nodded my head and left the room.

I was done getting the food ready and serving it. I placed the plate of fries on a tray, alongside the coke. I headed to my room. Nora was already dozing off. I dropped the tray on the table and woke her up. She yawned slightly. "Sorry, I doze off"
I rolled my eyes. "You should eat"
"You ain't eating?"
"Nah, I'm fine"
She nodded. I sat down on the couch, pressing my phone while she ate. After a while, she stood up with the tray. "I will just drop this in the kitchen and head for my room. Thanks for the food, anyways"
I rolled my eyes and stood up. I took the tray from her. "Don't worry, I will get them downstairs,"
"No, I can do that"
"Do you care for a movie?. It's Friday night and you will be leaving tomorrow". She rolled her eyes. "You don't have to worry. It isn't going to be a horror movie"
She chuckled. I turned to go. "I take that as a year. So seat down, while I get this to the kitchen"
"You can as well get some popcorn"
I rolled my eyes. "Foodie" I muttered
She furrowed her brows. "Are you talking to me?"
"Nah. I just remembered something". I had to leave the room quickly before she says a word.

The movie ended and I sighed. I dislike love movies but had to watch them since it seems to be the only movie Nora enjoys. I don't know why she prefers to watch movies like that. Though she doesn't look like the lovable type. I mean she doesn't look like someone who likes love. She doesn't even have a boyfriend. I don't think she ever had one. I chuckled. She should see it as a privilege that I want to marry her, even though it's for a reason. I rolled my eyes. I used to watch love movies. I used to be a die-hard fan of soap operas, but everything changed after the death of Julia. Her death was a blow to me. I sighed. I don't know why I'm thinking so much about Julia now, it's been over how many years now? Six? Seven?. I can't... I felt ahead, on my shoulder and I turned. It was Nora, she was fast asleep. I rolled my eyes. How easy it is for her to fall asleep. I chuckled when I yawned. I feel so tired too and needed sleep. Since I couldn't take her back to her room, I lay her on my bed and then cover her with the duvet cover. I picked up a pillow and a blanket and lay on the couch. I was already dozing off when I heard a popped sound. It was a message from my manager to remind me of a photoshoot I have tomorrow. I groaned. I forgot I have a photoshoot tomorrow. I can't leave tomorrow. I will have to reschedule my flight for Monday. This place is so going to be boring without Nora. I sighed. I will try to make Nora change her mind and wait until Monday. I yawned. Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day, I should get as much sleep as I can.
