SAPPHIRE
After our class, I went to the locker room and looked at myself in front of the mirror. I found the design and fabric of the newly made uniform very beautiful. The skirt and the sleeveless crop top I'm wearing are cute.
 
After looking at myself in the mirror, I closed the locker door and headed to the gym, where I saw my other teammates warming up.
 
I immediately spotted Nicole, so I approached her, "Hi, Nics!"
 
"Hi, Saff! You look good in that new uniform! " She praised me.
 
"Thank you!"
 
"Have you warmed up yet?" she asked me.
 
"Not yet, I just arrived," I said, but my eyes were on the surroundings.
 
"The basketball team is on the other side. It looks like they were jogging over there in the multi-purpose hall."
 
My cheeks are red. I haven't even told Nicole what's on my mind, but she already knows. "It's obvious from your face that you're looking for your lover." "Don't worry, he won't run away."
 
"You're really a joker, but I just want to ask. Have all you cheerleaders here had relationships with basketball players? I noticed that your boyfriend is also a basketball player."
 
"Not everyone. "Maybe others are just lucky, especially you," Nicole answered.
 
"Yeah right, not everyone," someone said from behind me, and when I turned around, it was Lara saying, "The others are from the football team."
 
I nodded because I know that he and Cliff are still together, but if I know, Cliff Hudson has a lot of girlfriends. I always see him in the park and mall with other girls. Is that kind of setup okay with Lara?
 
I looked at Lara's outfit and noticed that she was wearing different clothes than us. Her skirt is shorter and her whole body is visible. Her design is also different. Well, she is the head cheerleader, insecure because her curves were obvious and she was really sexy. As for me, I'm sexy, but I can't match Lara's sexiness. If only I hadn't gotten pregnant and given birth, I would probably still have a perfect body.
 
"For your information, Sapphire, I'm sorry, but pieces of jewelry are not allowed in practice," Lara said, coldly.
 
I didn't mind that, and I held the necklace I was wearing. I removed all my jewelry, but this necklace was the only one I didn't remove.
 
"It's not possible. It's a family heirloom, so I can't take it off. Besides, I always wear it in practice, don't I?"
 
She stood up and raised one eyebrow, "Are you breaking our rules? Either you take it off or just leave the team?" She asked, flatly, "What if someone gets injured while we're practicing? We don't know what might happen, Sapphire. "
 
I sighed and nodded. I turned my back and didn't look at Lara. I would just get irritated. I took off my necklace and wrapped it in a towel. I couldn't put it in the locker since it was too far, so I just put the towel on my bench and went to where the others were.
 
Nicole approached me, "I'm sorry about Lara. Rules are rules."
 
"It's okay. I understand."
 
PIERCE
We also warmed up for an hour and jogged and practiced in the multi-purpose hall. After our practice, we returned to the court.
 
I saw Fire, and she looks like she's struggling, but she's doing well and trying to get along with Lara's mood. She always corrected Fire for no apparent reason, or maybe because she could easily remember the steps.
 
"Sapphire, please stretch your knees! Besides, you should be behind Rachael, not next to her!" She called it out loudly so everyone in the court could hear it. Unfortunately, the court was noisy, so not everyone could hear.
 
"Wow! It seems like she's in a pretty bitchy mood. Why is that?" Brad asked teasingly.
 
I know why it's hot-headed since Fire is my girlfriend now, but why is she acting like that?
 
"I don't know. As far as I remember, she was the one who broke up with me. Is it Fire's fault that she came into my life?" 
I feel sorry for her because Lara is putting pressure on her and I know her, even though they knew her as an angel, she's a war freak and a mean girl.
 
It is also right that she broke up with me.
 
Fire smiled sweetly. "Well, Lara Hall," I heard her react. The strength of both of their voices is remarkable. "I'd love it if you had a little feeling of rhythm; it's easier for us people behind you," she answered calmly and flipped her hair.
 
"Way to go, Sapphire!" Brad shouted, and she saw us. She smiled at me, and I smiled back at her to say everything is fine. I know Lara is annoyed now, and it's obvious from her look, "Five minute break first!"
 
Nicole ran to her boyfriend and cuddled, suddenly overwhelmed by Fire's hug. Brad frowned, "You really are good! You just had a girlfriend, and you made me look like a loner. Forever single."
 
"Hey, bro. Go see your Belle."
 
He was troubled, "She doesn't even talk to me. I keep teasing, but she isn't annoyed anymore."
 
"You can invite her or you could ask her if you both get ice cream. I'm sure she likes you and she will never be able to resist your charms," Fire suddenly said, "Come on. You're Bradley Elliot, the best shooter and varsity player here at Agusan High, right?
 
Brad thought and nodded, "You're right about it. I'll take a look at it. "
 
Third Person's POV
While the couple were cuddling and hugging each other, they didn't notice that Lara had been looking at them with a frown and an irritated look, saying, "Now, what, bitch? Are you happy because you have Pierce now? PDA is too much. Have decency, you whore."
 
She sat on a bench and was drinking water. She noticed something that was right beside her, and it was a hand towel.
 
"Whose towel is this?" Lara said and picked it up as the locket fell on the floor.
 
She picked it up and thought that it was Sapphire's locket. She was curious about everything. "Wow, fate really brought me closer to this locket. What could be in it?"
 
She opened the inside of it and that is when she saw the inside. She gasped in shock, "Oh my G --"
FLASHBACK (Right Sapphire gave birth to Cooper.)
Sapphire was sitting on the hospital bed as she was reading, while the crib was next to her with her five-day old son, Cooper, who was sleeping.
 
Her birth labor was a bit difficult, but her son, Cooper, turned out to be a successful and healthy baby boy.
 
Suddenly, the door opened and her best friend, Tina Saunders, barged in with a bunch of flowers, "Hey, bestie! How is your adorable son doing?" She grinned loudly.
 
Sapphire just heard a noise inside the crib that seemed to start crying and was startled, "You know, he was peacefully sleeping in that crib until you came in here and I think he's crying."
 
"Oops, sorry!" She apologized in a low-tone voice and showed her the flowers, "I brought you flowers and these are your favorite."
 
She smiled, "The flowers are so nice. Thanks, Tin! Could you please put them inside the vase over there?"
 
"Yeah, sure," Tina placed the flowers inside a vase and then sat next to Sapphire, asking, "How are you feeling right now?"
 
"I am feeling good! The doctor also said that we would be discharged tomorrow."
 
Tina hugged her tightly and said, "That's great news!"
 
 
Sapphire could feel her shoulders getting wet, so she knew why she was crying when she came to visit.
 
"Tin, we're not going to move to another country. But, it will take hours to have a bus trip."
 
"It's still far and there's no time for us to bond either, but I'm really going to miss you. You know, I've been your best friend since birth, right? I can't bear to be separated from you, especially Baby Cooper."
 
"I'll miss you too, best! You're the only person who doesn't leave me. With so many friends I've got, I know you're the real one and you didn't leave me when I was pregnant with him. Besides, the drama is over! Once mom's paperwork and work are done, we'll leave. In the meantime, while I'm here, we can hang out even more," she said, "so don't cry or you'll look ugly."
 
"Yeah right!"
 
They laughed and heard that Cooper was crying because of the noise, "You're so noisy, Tin. Could you pick him up?" 
"Sure thing!" Tina stood up and took Cooper from the crib and handed him to his mom.
 
When he held his son, he also stopped crying and is now sleeping again. Sapphire suddenly looked at Cooper's face and remembered her ex-boyfriend, Simon Daniels.
"Are you okay?" Tina asked her best friend.
 
"Do you have any news about Simon?"
 
Tina shook her head, "No, we haven't heard about him. Not even Jasper, who is his very own best friend, heard from him. He disappeared like a bubble and never made a sound."
 
When Sapphire heard that, her tears fell. Tina felt sorry for what happened to her best friend because whatever move Sapphire makes, she will remember it because Cooper looks exactly like Simon.
 
"Hey, cheer up, Saff! I have a gift for you," Tina said, taking something from her bag. She took Sapphire's hand and placed a necklace in her palm.
 
Sapphire gasped at the beautiful design of the necklace and the size of the pendant, "It's beautiful."
 
Tina smiled when she saw her smiled a bit, "I'm glad it makes you smile. But, the best part is inside of it."
 
Sapphire looked at her and opened the locket, "Oh my..." She couldn't finish what she said because she was crying with joy and hugged her best friend, "Thank you so much, Tin."
 
"I want you to be happy. I love you, best friend."
 
LARA
I can't believe it! The locket contains a picture of Sapphire while she's holding a new born baby. The other side of it has the word Unconditional Love of a Mother written on it.
 
How could she date Pierce when, in fact, she has a child? To think that she is just seventeen years old. That girl is a mean and flirtatious girl.
 
I hid the locket and ran to where they were, "Practice is over! You all did a good job! See you all on Thursday!"
 
I know they are wondering why I ended the practice right away, but I have to do something now.
 
"Lara? Are you all right? Why are you so pale? You can talk to me," Nicole asked.
 
I dragged her away from them and asked, "You knew about Sapphire, right? Did you see her with a baby?"
 
As I asked that, she smiled and nodded, "Yeah! Baby Cooper is super adorable. I wish that I had a brother as cute as him."
 
I looked at her in disbelief, "That baby is her brother?"
 
"Of course," Nicole wondered, "Why? Aren't they siblings?"
 
I just shook my head, "N-No, of course they are. Alright, I'll take care of something else now. " I quickly grabbed my bag and left the school.
 
SAPPHIRE
It's good that Lara finished the practice right away, and I was already annoyed with her. I went to the bench where I left my towel, but I was very surprised when the towel was gone and so was the locket!
 
"No! This can't be happening! Where is my locket necklace? It can't be lost!" 
 
I continued to look for it and I can feel that I may be crying at anytime trying to find where it is, but it's really gone. What if someone took it and saw it? NO!
 
"Babe, what happened?" Pierce got up to me and asked worriedly as he hugged me.
 
"My necklace. My best friend gave it to me and now it's missing. I don't want to lose it," I started crying," so he let me go.
 
"I'm sure that it's right there. Guys, let's find Fire's necklace."
 
The guys worked together to find it, but they couldn't find it either. I was worried because not only was the necklace missing, but there was my secret that no one should know where it was.
