The next day, while Rebecca was preparing breakfast, Lucille went to the kitchen and asked her, "What exactly happened to you, Rebecca? Are you hiding something from me? I'm your friend; you should tell me what's going on." "I don't have a friend like you," Rebecca said, her eyes turning red as she stared at Lucille. Scared, Lucille stepped back. She didn't know why Rebecca sounded mad. Did she do something that made her react that way? Why is she pointing the knife at her? Rebecca stepped forward, but before she could do something, Kwan appeared in the kitchen, and she immediately went back to what she was doing, chopping vegetables. "Buenos días, Lucille. What's going on here?" Kwan asked. He was confused why Lucille didn't say anything and rushed outside. "What happened?" he asked Rebecca. "I'm sorry, Kwan, I couldn't control it," Rebecca replied. "I've shown Lucille my worst side. I've threatened her, and I'm sure she hates me now." "Don't worry about it. If she's really your friend, I'm sure she'd understand. But of course you have to apologize," Kwan said. "Maybe you're right. I'll have to do it now before it's too late. Can you handle the cooking for me?" Rebecca asked, handing him the knife. "Of course," Kwan replied with a smile, taking the knife and watching as Rebecca rushed outside. Meanwhile, Lucille was still shocked by Rebecca's sudden change in behavior. Perhaps she had reacted too soon, that maybe Rebecca was just playing around, trying to prank her, but that was clearly not a prank. "Are you alright?" Patrick asked her. He was trimming the tall grasses outside. "How can I be alright?" Lucille replied. "Rebecca pointed a knife at me as if she wanted to kill me." "Oh..." Patrick was surprised. He was silent for a while, thinking. "Maybe she's just trying to play with you? Come on, don't take it too seriously." "She's clearly not playing around. There was a serious look in her eyes, not the usual Rebecca I knew. I could feel it. Something's wrong with her," Lucille replied. "But you've been separated for a long time. A lot of things have changed, and perhaps she has too; perhaps she became more serious in her approach," Patrick said. "I hope so..." Lucille said. "Lucille!" Rebecca shouted, running towards them. She chased Lucille, and they ran around Patrick like little kids. "Guys, what are you doing? You're making me dizzy!" Patrick complained, clutching his short, blonde hair, wondering why they were giving him stress early in the morning. "I'm sorry, man, but please catch Lucille," Rebecca said. "No, don't listen to her, Patrick; she's fooling you," Lucille responded. "What do you want from me?" "Just stop, guys, please. Don't involve me in your games," Patrick begged. "My head is aching!" The two eventually stopped, seeing Patrick's face become red in frustration, but for Lucille he still looked cute. They sat down on the grass and talked. "Sorry for my actions earlier," Rebecca apologized sincerely. "I didn't mean to scare you. I promise not to do it again." "Don't think about it; I know you were just doing some pranks," Lucille replied, smiling. "Thank goodness. I thought you already hated me," Rebecca said, giving Lucille a hug. "Anyway, about the things you wanted to know, you can directly ask me about them, and I'll gladly answer your questions." "Just forget about it," Lucille said. "Are you giving up already?" Rebecca asked. "I know you'll tell me once you're ready, so take your time. I'm always here, willing to listen," Lucille said. Rebecca's heart melted hearing Lucille's words. Her friend had never changed; she's still someone who was always there for her, and even if she already has her own family, she still finds time for their friendship. "Thanks for your understanding, Lucille. I'm so glad I have you as my friend," Rebecca said. "Hey, guys! Breakfast's ready!" Kwan called them from the door of the mansion. Everyone went inside and continued to the dining room. The smell of delicious food entered their nostrils. They had breakfast together. On the next day, nothing important happened. On the fourth day, another two police officers came to visit Rebecca. Lucille and Patrick helped Rebecca hide Kwan from the police officers who searched the mansion, and they successfully fooled them. Rebecca hoped that they wouldn't come back again. On the seventh day, Rebecca finally decided to tell the truth to Lucille. She was ready whatever her reaction would be, and if she couldn't accept her for being a vampire, then she was free to do whatever she wanted. "So, what is it that you wanted to tell me?" Lucille asked. "I'm a vampire," Rebecca said, her tone serious. "So that's the reason why you're sensitive to my blood and you also choose to stay inside when the sun is up?" Lucille asked, then she laughed. "Don't worry about it, I accept you for who you are now, Rebecca. Whether you're a vampire or not, you're still my friend." "B—but aren't you afraid of me?" Rebecca asked. "Afraid? Of course I am afraid, but you're my friend, and I know that you won't hurt me," Lucille replied. "How about your husband? Aren't you afraid that I might hurt him or Kwan will?" Rebecca asked. "So, Kwan is also a vampire?" Lucille asked. "Whatever, if you two have plans on hurting us, then you have already done it, but instead you took care of us." "You've said it already," Rebecca said. "I think it's finally time to say goodbye." Lucille hugged Rebecca one last time. She had already packed up her things yesterday and put them inside a suitcase. Their seven days were so fast, and Patrick was already waiting outside, having a conversation with Kwan. "Take care, buddy," Kwan said. Patrick gave Kwan a tap on his shoulder before going. He held Lucille's hand as they trudged their way out from the forest. But instead of finding their way to the highway, where their car was parked, they got lost and found a village of werewolves instead. "What are those things?" Lucille asked, seeing a group of people eating raw meat. "They are disgusting." The werewolves were talking about the man who defeated Alpha Drake; they said that he was more worthy to become their alpha than him if he was only a werewolf. They had already skinned their alpha and eaten him while he was asleep. The meat they were eating was him. "Don't you love to read novels?" Patrick asked. "You should know that they are werewolves." "I didn't expect to see them in person. I'm still moving on to Rebecca's confession that she's a vampire, and now we're seeing werewolves? Am I dreaming?" Lucille asked. "No, you're clearly not," Patrick said. The werewolves heard their conversation and immediately surrounded them. Lucille let go of the suitcase, leaving it on the ground as she fell unconscious, and the big man dragged her to the village, together with her husband, who was also unconscious.
