"I didn't think that you would come here". logan said truthfully.
Elise scoffed."It's believable that I didn't expect to be here but you not expecting me being here isn't so believable".
"Elise please". logan pleads not wanting to argue.he didn't have the strength to.
"I am not here to fight instead I am here for answers which it's a compulsory that you tell".elise said as she made her way closer to logan."this is a chance for you log.don't ruin it".
Understanding the message logan spoke."what do you want to know?".
Instead of giving a response,elise decided to say something else as she sat down."I have been sent a warning".
"Huh?". logan probably thought that he misheard her."what did you say?".
"Just thought that you might want to know". elise shrugged."now to my questions".
Logan stared at elise in thoughts.he had a feeling that something wasn't right about her but he couldn't pinpoint exactly how."Well ask your questions but I have to tell you this.the answers that I give might not be what you are expecting but it's gonna be satisfactory".
"No lies".elise asked sending logan a supicious glance.
"No lies". logan repeated.
"I have no other choice than to trust you log.i have no leads and the investigation is going nowhere and everything is just exhausting".elise said."I have no specific question,I don't know exactly what to ask you about so I wish you can start to explain things from the beginning.i want to know everything,I am tired of playing games with the case".
Logan watched elise carefully before he spoke."I understand".he prepared himself mentally and a bit at alert because knowing elise,what he was about to reveal would surely irk her wrath ."Prepare yourself elise".he said seriously.
"I am ready".
"One fateful night,i received an anonymous text message that asked me to save a high school girl". logan started."at first I was skeptical about the text since it could be a prank but the thought that someone could actually be in danger made me try to search for the girl.i called hunter and jordan for help and together we searched for the whereabouts of the girl but I was too late because by the time we found out her identity she was already found dead".
"You are saying that you knew anna was going to die?".elise asked surprised.
"Technically I didn't". logan answered.
"And you did nothing!".elise said raising her voice as she stood up in anger.
"Calm down elise!". logan said."I didn't even know who she was.i got the text late,I had to search for a girl I knew nothing about in the middle of the night just so I could save her.don't you think that I shouldn't be blamed for not doing anything?".
"I..".elise seemed to realize that she had acted wrong but she had no words to say so she sat back down.
"Can I continue or you need some time?". logan asked staring at her.
"Continue".elise said."I don't have the time to wait".
"By the time I confirmed that she truly was dead,you had already taken the case.i didn't have enough time to react because I got a call from someone who asked for a meeting with me so I went there and found out something".
"What is it?".elise asked.
"There's a lot of twist that will make you confuse elise". logan said."can you handle it?".
"At this rate,I don't think there's anything I can't handle" elise said confidently.
but she was so wrong about that.
"You already know that anna worked at a bar before she died right?". logan asked to which elise nodded."you also know that she was reported to have quit but in actual fact she didn't?".
"I know all about the bar log".elise sighs."I was able to find that out with the help of kelly and jordan".
"Do you know why she worked at the bar?.do you know who she was meeting there?".logan watched elise shake her head to his questions.
"It wasn't because she needed the money.she also wasn't selling her body to anyone". logan said."my client told me that she was meeting her lover there because that's the only place they could meet without being judged.it was the only place they could be free that's why she decided to work there so she could continue meeting her lover".
"Who is your client?".elise was distracted at the mention of a client."how did your client know about all of this?.who was anna to your client?".
Logan was confused at which question to answer first as he was bombarded with questions."all you need to know about the identity of my client for now is that she's a family to anna's lover".
Elise frowned at the reveal."so your client is a woman".it wasn't a question.
"There are a lot of officials indirectly involved in this case because of their kids.it's why I tried to stop you from investigating because those kids are scary".
Elise glanced at logan briefly before speaking."I am guessing that you won't tell me who they are".
"I will tell you". logan said."it's not just now".
Elise nodded at his words."what else can you tell me now?.can you tell about the file I saw on your desk the last time?".
Logan sighs rubbing his jaw as he remembered the reason why elise got mad at him."I have no idea about how that file got onto my desk.i didn't put it there and I definitely didn't order the research".
"How did the file get into your room then?". elise asked."if you didn't put it there then who did?".
"it's one of the things I am trying to figure out".
"What about the contents then?".elise asked."or you have no idea about that too?".
"I know little".
Elise gave logan a doubtful look."I don't believe that you could know little of things".
"I am telling the truth, please believe me lis". logan pleads using the nickname he had gave her."I only know that the contents of the file is part of the reasons why anna was killed,my client confirmed this already".
"And?".
"it involves the dirty politics which the children of the rich men do.they create a group where they use the power of their parents to rule in a bad way in which they snuggle things in".logan explained."my client seems to know more about them.she told me that although they are kids,they are cruel and dangerous to deal with.it isn't just only anna they killed".
Elise nods as she took the information in.she had come to realize that using the legal means would get her nowhere forward with the case."let me meet with your client log".
"I will have to ask if my client wants to meet with you later but firstly you should focus on lily".Logan said.
"Don't worry about that". elise said."I already know what to do".she then stood up."I guess this is enough for the day.i will come back for more info when I need it.see you till then".she was already walking when she suddenly stopped as she remembered something.
"Where is Jordan?.or should I ask where you sent him to?".elise asked turning to face logan.
"I don't know about his actual whereabouts.i can only say he will be back soon". logan said.
"Alright then".elise said."I have a pending job to attend to.see you when I need to".she waved at him before finally walking out of the room.
