"Edward". elise greeted respectfully staring at the male in front of her,he wasn't older than her in age but in the ranks he was.
"Elise?"the man called edward was surprised to see elise and wondered why she was there.
"I heard about the arrest of lily.i was told that you were the one who arrested her".
Edward came to a realization after elise's words."the chief agreed to the arrest, it's why I was able to arrest her".he then adds."I got a warrant".he thought that elise was there to question and fight him.
"I am not here to question you". elise didn't want a misunderstanding so she clarifies herself.
"Then why are you here?".edward asked sounding a bit hostile.
"I just wanna ask some questions besides I think I have the right to be here after all I am the one in charge of the case".elise said annoyed."or are you going to stop me?".she didn't know why edward was being a bit rude but she didn't care to know.time was something she didn't have at the minute,she didn't want to waste it on things insignificant to her.
"I have no right to stop you elise not that i want to anyway".edward said not sounding hostile this time.
"Why did you arrest lily?". elise asked."i just want to know the reason,am not questioning you or anything".she added as she felt that her question earlier might sound a bit rude.
"We received a text from her confessing to killing anna".edward answered.
"A text?".
"it's unbelievable but we really received a text from her". edward said."then we also received a video too that showed that lily was there at the scene so we had no choice but to arrest her".
"What are you saying?. if what you are saying is true,I should have received the text since I am the detective in charge not you besides how did she have your number?".
"I don't know".
"How do you know that it's from her?". kelly asked."it could be someone else".she had been keeping quiet the whole time.
"We traced the IP address for location and found the hospital's address that she was".
"Hospital?,was she sick?".elise asked then she realized something else."you arrested a sick patient?".
"It was urgent". edward said."we arrested a suspect to a murder".
"You don't believe that she could have done the killing right?".elise asked.
"In solving cases evidence talks not what I think or your thoughts elise". edward said."you know the rules, don't you?".
Elise sighed before speaking."you and I both know that anna wasn't killed-".
"Who was the one who claimed that anna was murdered?". edward suddenly asked rudely interrupting elise rendering her speechless as she stared at him."when anna was found dead,we all thought it was sucide but no!". edward suddenly raised his voice a bit."you butted in claiming that it was murder and now that I arrested a prime suspect you are getting worked up.are you going to say that it's not murder that it's sucide?".
"No,i-".
"I haven't gotten enough rest for a while now.i am unable to go home to my family just because of this case just because of you!". edward shouted."it's not just me that am talking about, everyone else too".
"You want rest when someone died?".elise asked."what about anna's family and her friends?.they are miserable and have lost hope because of cops like you who complain of not getting enough rest and don't work well!.you are always in a hurry to close cases like this to go fucking rest well!".
"What is the difference between you and I?.you who worked perfectly and I who doesn't do anything and is always in a hurry to close cases". edward asked pointing to both him and elise."I got to something at least but you got nothing at all".he turned to walk away but the turned back to elise."you asked why I received the message not you.maybe no one trusts the capability of the righteous and hardworking cop who arrives at nothing".he then walked away.
Kelly glanced at elise thinking that she was sad and hurt by the words of edward and tried to pacify her but elise walked away not saying a word."elise where are you going?".but she got no reply.

"Did you hear the news?".hunter asked calmly as he walked into logan's room.
"Everyone heard".logan answered not looking up from his phone which he was holding.
"So what is your plan or should I say your plans?". hunter asked."which one?".
"I don't have any".he answered still on his phone.he was busy typing.
"What are you doing?".hunter asked as he finally noticed that logan wasn't giving him much attention."you aren't really listening to me".
"I am".
"Really?".hunter asked as he makes his way to logan's side.he peeped at logan's phone so he see what his friend was doing."who are you texting?". logan was busy texting someone but he was unable to recognize the number.
"An helper". logan answered finally dropping his phone,he the turned to face hunter."I asked someone for help".
"Who is the person?". hunter asked curiously as he stared at logan's phone.
"You will be shocked". logan answered smiling at his friend who was surprised to see his smile as it has been long since logan smiled.
Hunter became more curious but he knew that logan wasn't going to reveal the identity of his helper so he decided not to ask since he would know later on."I guess i have nothing to worry about then especially seeing you smile".hunter said."so what did you ask for help for?".
"Anna's case". logan answered."I asked for help concerning lily's arrest".
"Oh".was all hunter said."but why?".
"What do you mean by that?".
"Well..I mean..I didn't think that you would be concerned about the case enough to ask for help". hunter said scratching his head."is it because of elise?".
Logan sighed thinking about hunter words."elise would do everything in her power to get the girl out of the station at the cost of her health.i can't bear to see elise's health deteriorating again besides I don't want the innocent girl to suffer".he then adds."not on my watch".
"it's not your fault anna died".hunter could tell that his friend was blaming himself."you did nothing wrong".
"I am not that weak minded andy".logan said calling his friend other name.
"Andy?".
"it's your name, isn't it?".
"I know but it's been like ages since you called me that".hunter said."if there's anything I can do to help,just let me know".
"Yeah". logan said."thanks a lot".
Hunter decided to leave his friend on his own for a while so he stood up."I will be back log".
"hmm". logan nodded.he didn't need to be told to know that hunter was leaving the room as he could her the descending footsteps.
Just as he was about to relax,he heard hunter say someone name."e_elise".
