I woke up the next day feeling energetic. This is the first time that I woke up feeling like this ever since I could remember. It’s a good sign. I guess. For once, I finally felt what it’s like to have other emotions other than agony. I’m now here in front of the school gate. I inhaled deeply as I tried to gather the strength I had last night. I guess I’ll find Chaos during my break. While walking in the school grounds, I notice that students are flocking at the field. I wonder why. I’m curious. As much as I want to flock with them to know what’s going on, the introvert in me cannot stand so many people around me. Besides, I'm not the kind of person who sticks her nose into other people’s business. I shrugged my shoulders and continued walking. Of course, news has wings. Even though I did not go to the field to know what’s happening, there are always telltales who let you in on gossip whether you like it or not. “Do you know—” I heard one say before it was shushed by another taleteller. I highly bet that they are talking about what happened in the field. “Girls, tone down your voice. And yes, we know that Chaos broke another girl’s heart today. I heard she’s crying nonstop at the ladies’ room,” one of them whispered. I’m not sure if it’s really classified as a whisper, because even though her movements tell me that she is whispering, the modulation of her voice is so loud that I can hear them even though I have quite a distance from them. But wait, Chaos made someone cry? I suddenly felt a tingling sensation upon hearing his name. What is his involvement in this mess? Are these girls telling the truth? What did he do? “I can’t blame him. That girl knows that Chaos is a snob and is allergic to girls, yet she still keeps on insisting herself. She brought that shame onto herself. Poor girl,” the third girl said. Hmm, I think I already know what happened. Thanks to my fast mind, I already deduced what truly happened back there. I think this is what really happened: there’s this girl that they are talking about who keeps on insisting herself on Chaos, while Chaos on the other hand finds this girl annoying. Maybe Chaos got really frustrated at this girl and threw some hurtful words at her. Chaos actually has a reputation of being a heartbreaker. I just learned that from researching about him. Well, I don’t think he would be given that title if it’s not true. Maybe, the scene earlier is just one of those moments. Never mind that though. I have to focus. I still have an important matter in my hands right now. Lunch break came and as fast as a lightning, I strode off the hallways. I don’t know how I got the courage to eat my pride and shame just to find that freaking Chaos Lacosta. I remembered him mentioning that he is in 3rd year college. So I immediately went to the 3rd year students’ building. Now what? I am in front of the building, but hell! I don’t know where his classroom is. Nor do I know what floor. Okay, I’ll just have to do this. I already pushed my pride aside for this. I can’t just back off now that I’m here. However, the weird looks of the other students are eating me up alive. I guess they are not used to seeing me walk fast and sashaying the hallways let alone stand in front of a building where a lot of people can see me. Someone even shot me a disgusted look. I don’t care though, I received something more hurtful than that. Maybe I’m new to them. A bold stranger in their eyes. Like which first year student in their right mind would be doing in the building allocated for third years? I heaved a deep sigh. Here goes nothing. I bravely entered their building. I walked into the last classroom on the left, hoping to start finding him from there. “Woah, woah, woah! What a surprise from someone who is always behind the shadows. What can we do, miss?” Asked by a guy with chinky eyes. His demeanor is comparable to a kid, but I know that he’s not. “Hello, do you know where I could possibly find Chaos?” I blurted immediately despite the raging curiosity of how he knew me. “Oh, straightforward, I see. Sad to say, this is not his class and I don’t know where you can find him. But I know someone who could help you,” he said while pointing at someone inside their room. I tried to take a peek inside but failed without even trying hard. Three boys stood up and blocked my sight before I could even see where he was pointing. I took a deep breath and uttered, “Show me the one that you said can help me locate Chaos.” “Bro! Peace! Someone is looking for you!” I don’t know who he’s shouting at but that’s another weird name. Suddenly, the three men blocking my way separated and now I can finally see their classroom. There I saw this guy who’s extremely focused on his book. Well, how do I describe him, a guy who looks really like Chaos. Wait, isn’t this Chaos? That guy looks exactly like him! I think this guy in front of me is only fooling me. “Excuse me, mister, are you sure that that is not Chaos? That’s exactly him. You can see from his face that he's indeed Chaos. Don’t fool me, I am not here to kid around with you,” I said seriously to him. Frustration dripped in my voice. He laughed out loud. “You’re funny, miss. I am telling you, that is not Chaos. And by the way, my name is Camp,” he giggled a bit. Well, I am not rude. Anti-social, yes, but not and will never be rude. I just really have a very difficult time communicating with people given my history of being abused and bullied. It was never my intention to be rude, it may seem like it, but it is really unintentional. He called ‘Peace’ again and the boy that I saw earlier that looked exactly like Chaos flinched and looked at us. He stood and placed a bookmark before walking towards us. I can see from here that he really loves books. The book can’t maintain its paper white pages if it is not cared for properly. It’s funny, we share a similarity. But I did not come here for that. I pursed my lips as I tried to shake the thought out of my head. Peace neared us with a big smile on his face. Believe me when I say that he is an exact replica of Chaos. “Bro, she’s looking for Chaos. I know for sure that you’re the only one who knows your brother’s whereabouts. It’s your turn to talk to miss Rivera here. Goodluck!” He patted Peace’s back before running inside the classroom. “So, I’ve heard that you are looking for my brother. Well, miss, you’ve asked the right person,” he said with a creepy smile that sent shivers down my spine.
