Episode 62
She walked hurriedly and stopped just above the round iron rod that serves as a gateway to the underground cave. The iron gagged and dropped speedily to the seemingly dark underground like it usually does, but it stopped right before it hit the ground. She stepped down from it and it went back up, sealing the door closed.
The underground cave was lit up with the lamp that has been stationed at the corners of it revealing the content there in.
Four people sat on a large stone throne, two at the right, two at the left, while the largest of the throne which was in the middle was left vacant.
Immediately they saw her, they sat straight up. She walked over to them and after the usual greetings, she spoke up. “The light bearer is here!“ She announced
“Yes, we can all feel it. The lady of wrath?“ The one that seems to be the second to the leader asked, she sat at the right hand side of the biggest throne.
“There was a little pull back, but we are back on our track, she is waking, it's just a matter of time Leslie.“ She said.
“Better be fast about it” the one on the left side who always get on Renetta nerve said, her name was Scarlett, while the other two are males their names were, Clyde and Scate respectively.
“Maybe you should go on with it yourself Scarlett!“ She fired back.
“Now is not the time to be battling each other with words, postpone your banter till when the battle is over, we have a greater issue at hand!“ Leslie said, cautioning them.
“Is the Light bearer cover blown?“ Scate asked
“Who is he?“ Clyde asked
“Apparently she is a she…”
“Ohhh…” Leslie cooed knowing who it was.
“We've been looking through the wrong direction all this while!“ Leslie added
“How about we pay the light a visit?“ Scarlett, with a wide, wicked grin plastered on her face.
“Now that is a stupid thing to say Scarlett.“ Clyde said as Renettha's breath hitched and her hand instinctively went to her masked face, she went back to her normal self seconds later.
“No, we'll wait for Anetta!“ Leslie dismissed…

The surge of energy rose in her system, she could feel them, her body hair standing up in goosebumps and she looked back at Sarah.
“What?“ She yelled at her
“I could see all of them, I could hear and see everything you've seen Sarah, but I beg of you this is not the right thing to do!“ Chloe yelled at her back
“Chloe!“ Kyle yelled as he got close to them. He could feel it, the energy that radiated from Chloe, they are new and strong, perhaps, is she the one? No way! Aunt Sandra is the light bearer, it can't be her.
Seeing that Sarah is getting out of control, she remembered what Chloe told him, just then the others arrived at that moment.
Sean, seeing the state Sarah is, rushed to the scene and grabbed her hand making her face him.
“Guys to your positions!“ Paul said as he walked into the building.
Christy turned on her invisible form, Ben teleporting with Cassie inside the building where she could take some pictures, he had been inside and he knew some places inside.
“I guess we should follow them.“ Kyle said to Chloe.
“But…”
“She is fine now, you see, Sean can handle it, she is calm now, Sean can make her see what she is about doing is wrong.“ Kyle explained.
“Okay…” she said not satisfied but still agreed with him and they both followed them in unaware to them the gateman who was almost killed by Sarah had rushed to inform his boss about them inside, and they are at alert, they have enough time to set traps for them.
Christy uses her super speed to round the whole building, and has seen the traps. She went back just in time to tell each and everyone of them just before they entered the building about the traps except for Cassie and Ben. They don't really need that information though. Paul went to the guys in charge of the cameras and retrieved the videos into a drive, Kyle and Chloe went to retrieve files and documents in the offices, Christy had told them what to do. Christy went searching for where the bodies were buried, Ben and Cassie teleported to Paul and he handed them the drive which Ben took out to give Sean outside.
“I should go inside, I need to make them pay” Sarah had said to Sean when she watches them go into the building
“Yes we are going to make them pay, and they are going to be doing that for us, don't worry okay!“
“You think so?“
“I know so, now calm your nerves, okay?“ Sean said to her and she faces him, he held her hand gently, as they lock eyes, his eyes darts to her full lips that was calling unto him, he leans closer, Sarah getting the memo closed her eyes they could feel the burning heat in them, he leaned closer as he closes his eyes too, his hands wrapped around Sarah's waist, Sarah with a little parted lips.
“uhm uhm uhm.“ Ben coughed
“I'm I interrupting something?“ Ben stopped them from doing what they had in mind.
“Sorry little man, I know I spoiled your game, but you are here on duty, your Dad said I should give you this, you know what to do, I promise, I won't tell him anything I saw.“ He said emphasising on the Dad, handling him the drive before he was gone.
“Told you they have everything in control.“ He said with a small smile and leaned again, he was not backing out, just as soon as their lips were about to meet, the wailing of sirens echoed across the desert road.
“Dang it!“ He whispered under his breath but Sarah could hear them and she laughed out at his frustration.
Chloe handed Kyle the file they could lay their hands on, “Wait here, I'll be right back.“ Kyle said before teleporting to Sean and Sarah
“Ohh, they are here already!“ Kyle said and the duo looked back at him, he handed them the file and went back to Chloe.
Paul and Cassie got to the biggest hall in the building where they had rescued Ben from, with a kick from Paul the iron door broke paving way for them just then Kyle, Ben and Chloe arrived by their side.
The bodyguards that were positioned to attack them as soon as they got in shifted back in fear.
Clapping of hands echoed across the hall with a small laugh. “Just what I've been waiting for, the world's unstoppable weapon, first of it kind”
“So I guess you are Adrian Lake, a fearsome drug cartel dealer! Battling with the disease called obsession of power, so much for being Adrian Lake.
“Woah! You must have done a lot of research about me!“ Lake said as he sat on the only chair in the wide hall facing the Elvers.
“Nah, you could thank my big brain for that” Cassie said with a smirk, and Lake had a small laugh
“Big brain?“ He questioned
“Nah, I see nothing but a shapeless big head speaking!“ He said relaxing on the arm chair.
“Ohh I see you are so shameless and a dunce that you don't have a better come back than to body shame a child, pathetic!“
“I doubt if you are the Adrian Lake that was posed as the most fearsome drug dealer by the paper, your bodyguard right here looks better.“ Cassie said with a smirk
“And you are just a little child hiding behind his protective weapon, a little child!“ Cassie ended and his face twitched to a frown.
“Teach them a lesson” he yelled at his bodyguards.
“Oh I guess I was right then, you are nothing without them!“
“Are you challenging me?“
“Took your ridiculous brain long enough to figure it out!“
“I will never get ridiculed by a kid! You have it then, no weapon!“ He said
“Wow, even bargaining about no weapons with a kid, well, good for you!“ She said and he suddenly shot at her, she instinctively dodged the bullet.
“You said no weapon!“
“Ohh, took your big brain wide enough to see that coming!“ He said sarcastically
“Well you have it!“ She said and her eyes turned green…
“It's enough Cassie, '' Sheriff Trina said to her, getting to the scene the other Elvers had stayed back to watch the fight, they laughed at the duo as they kept bantering.
“You are under arrest, Adrian Lake!“ The sheriff said as Decker brought in handcuffed Flora.
“What are you waiting for? Fire!“ Lake said to his bodyguards and they all brought out their weapon to shoot, but Kyle happened, he slow down the time, Christy came to the scene just in time and seeing the situation at hand, she took their guns and tossed it at the corner of the hall and Kyle released them, they touched various part of their body in looking for their rifle.
Sheriff Trina and her partner were confused but seeing the smile on the Elvers' faces assured them everything was fine.
“I found the bodies!“ Christy said relaying what she found to the sheriff
“You are under arrest Adrian Lake!“ Said the sheriff as she handcuffed him, while the other cops that came with them handcuffed everyone including the doctors.
