Chloe sat on the floor as she tried using her psychic ability to search for Carter, after a while she found out where he was, she told them about her findings and they were teleported right to the location. On the street, Chloe glanced around trying to recognise which of the buildings or things there she had seen.
“Over there” she pointed to the seemingly dark road, it looked dangerous.
“Why would anybody want to take this dangerous-looking route in the night like this for God's sake?“ Sean whined
“It's a Short corner that leads to so many houses, so instead of taking a long way, they'll prefer to pass here” Sandra explained
“I can sense him,” Cassie said as she summoned the power of nature to help her get rid of the camouflaged Carter.
The wind blew greatly and then it stopped, they ran to the corner, Sandra lit up her eyes so they could see, Carter, on the other hand, stood there shocked on seeing the light, he trembled, he was taking out the soul of the seventh person in the big jar given to him by Renetha.
“So, what do we have here again? Aren't you guys tired of being whipped?“
“We are not here to get whooped by you, but to stop you from continuing your horrendous act” Cassie groaned
“You must be the Caterer guy, why are you so wicked?“ Sandra asked
“It's Carter…'' At that moment Sheriff Trina and Decker drove past but reversed back after noticing the unusual bright light from that dark corner. Sheriff Trina brought out her phone and dialled Sean's phone but he wasn't picking up
“They are here, they don't follow simple instructions, do they?“ Trina said as she swerved the car to their direction, she parked the car swiftly and jumped out of it hastily with Decker her hand on her rifle in her back pocket as she races towards them, as they drew closer to them, the energy radiating from the them is huge and they need no soothsayer to tell then there is a fight going on, immediately they got there, she instinctively pointed her gun at Carter who felled at her feet with crack bones.
“You are under arrest Carter, for murder!“ Sheriff Trina exclaimed kicking off the big jar away from his reach, they contained souls of those he had murdered in the past hours, Christy picked it up.
“Cassie follow Christy and returned the souls to their body”
“I can't bring them back to life again, because they are dead already, we need Zoe!“ Cassie said
“I doubt if Zoe can bring them back to life, but then I will still summon her” Chloe said as she closed her eyes, again she found herself at the flower garden Zoe had taken her to. “Zoe, Zoe!“ She called out to her repeatedly.
“I'm here” her voice suddenly said at her back and she startled
“Can you bring back a dead person to life?“ Chloe asked her
“Unfortunately, I haven't tried that, but I could give it a try.“
“She said she is going to give it a try.“
“So how are we supposed to know she is with us or hear what she was saying?“ Christy asked
“Of course, I'll be following you guys.“ Chloe said in a duh tone
“The victims are at the general hospital, you know what to do!“ Trina instructed and they ran off, Christy holding their hands
“You think you can stop me, you think you can stop them?“ Carter said standing up facing Sheriff Trina, with his bone cracking to its normal form, healthier than ever.
“What the fuck are you made of?“ Sheriff Trina said wearily
“Do you wanna hear a story?“ He asked, coming closer and Trina blinked her eyes multiple times without saying a word.
“I'll take that as a yes.“ He added

Then he got to meet the dark and conformed with it, with the promise of giving his family a good life to live if he could do some simple task for them, and he agreed, every single day, he will wake up pretending to go to work but go somewhere else, he would be sent to do some things, train and in return he will be given some Cash, until one day. He got to their usual meeting, and he was given something to drink, in their words to give his powers some Sparks it needed, he fell asleep that instant and woke up a few minutes later to various dark green smoke flowing through his body until everything went still and he felt normal again, he was given the cash as usual and he walked home happily…”
“On getting home he started noticing some weird thing in his system and tried his best to keep it away from his wife, he was having a hard time controlling it. In the middle of the night, sleeping beside his wife he could feel it again, not wanting to hurt her and his unborn baby, he left the bed for her and lock himself up in the toilet, but the brave and stubborn woman he had wouldn't let him be, he tried his best to have control over the growling beast he had drank but then he couldn't, his wife found a way in to the locked door and met him in his his beast form, after several warning from him to back off, she wouldn't budge and that was how he mistakenly hit her with some strands of poison, luckily for the poison had no effect on him and he knew it was as a result of a growing him in her womb, he took his knocked out wife to the hospital and flee, knowing he is going to cause more harm to them than good, until he lost track of them. He pretended he was dead when he saw that his wife wasn't giving up. He has now grown in having much hatred on the Elvers who left him to wrath, and he is back to seek for revenge, first he had to take out the task he was assigned to.“
