Brian knocked on the door gently to get her attention and she groaned, don't they give up? She thought.
“Cassie, it's me.“ He said when he got no response from her.
“Brian?“ She called and sat up. “Come in, the door is not locked.“ She said to him and he walked in closing the door behind him and walked towards the bed. He sat on the mattress and Cassie hugged him.
“It's okay, everything is going to be fine.“ He said petting her. Sean had called him about the latest update, Funnily, he had been in her room since the day break and was waiting for her to come back from wherever she had gone to, since she has a bad habit of not always taking her phone with her everywhere she go he couldn't check up on her and where she could be.
“Sean told me everything”
“He wasn't totally a bad person right?“ She asked him

“If they hadn't left him, he would have still been a better person, all my birthdays wouldn't have been void if he was there.“ She said,
“But he still has the choice to choose where he should belong to, maybe if he hadn't joined the dark he would have still been here, they killed him.“ Cassie added
“No they don't, Renetha killed him. I know you are angry, hurt and betrayed that you were lied to by those who you thought showed you the light and a purpose to bring your powers into good use, they did wrong by abandoning him, what was their reason? Even though the reason can't justify their acts. He conformed to the dark because he wanted revenge, they offered to give him something and in return he worked for them, did they? They killed him even after everything he had done for them! You should seek justice for his death! It's okay if you want to mourn him, but also don't forget Renetha killed him!“ Brian said to her.
“You are right, Renetha needs to pay for this!“ She said

“Okay, so are you guys going to explain why you left him?“ Sandra asked Paul and Christy and they shuddered, because she startled them, they had forgotten she was with them.
“Trust me we didn't left him intentionally, after the fight, I went to your school to pick you up, Christy was supposed to go take Olivia and him, because Anetta we're hunting us down and we have nothing to defend ourselves, I left the town and Christy did too, she searched everywhere for him, but she couldn't find him, so we left thinking he would be fine and survive. When we came back, we still looked for him. Well, we found him this time around, he was with the sheriff's daughter, so we just left him to be since he has really grown, years later he was proclaimed dead.“ Paul explained his own part of the story
“Why didn't you tell the kids about it? Because that was the only reason why they were mad!“

“Woah, well you succeeded in making them think exactly what you don't want them to think of you, so it's all on you to get them back together.“ Sandra said to him
And they sighed. They were in the living room when Kyle suddenly appeared with the blade in his hand and just almost immediately, he left and came back with a car and his friends in it.
They carried Caleb inside and the elders stood up.
“What happened?“ Christy asked first
“Hr is unconscious, we need to get him away from where Renetha could reach so she wouldn't kill him.“ Sarah said and then took him to one if the rooms upstairs, Cassie and Brian hearing the noise coming from downstairs they rushed out from the room to take a look at what was happening.
“The blade!“ Sandra said as she suddenly felt drawn to it.

Sheriff Trina walked out of the investigating room with Decker behind her, the culprit has been charged to court and their first hearing will be In two days time which is Monday, they already admitted their crimes. Apparently, someone from the station tip the media about the arrested suspect story and it has been published in all media, the petition that was being put up for her to step down, numbers hasn't risen for sometime, though she find it displeasing for such stories to be released to the public, she also seems happy with all the positive comments she has been getting.
Her phone rang and she picked it up.
“I just read the story now, you are doing a great job, I see you caught the culprit, but what about the Elvers? It would be a pleasure to meet one of them” the mayor said to her on the phone.
She smiled “Thank you Mayor, Your son is Dating one, this is a secret, don't tell anybody” she replied and walked into her office, Decker closed the door behind her.
“Cassie? What!“
“Your daughter!“ He added.
“I guess your son didn't tell you all the story, the complete story. You can ask him, also we have a big fight coming soon, we can use your position.“
“I can't believe this, I'm calling Brian right away!“
“Calm down Mayor, also another good news even though it's bad news for my side.“ She said and sighed.
“The culprit who caused the death has been stopped…” she said and heaved a deep sigh
“That's good news, when? Where is that bastard, I need to see him”
“I'm sorry but you can't, bye!“ She rushed before she hung up
“Why did you tell him?“ Decker asked.
“I don't know, I feel like I should, his son is part of the team and he has been helpful to us all this while.“ She explained to him and sighed
“You still care for him, don't you?“
“Who?“
“You know who, I mean Carter”
“Yeah, I hate to admit” she said and his heart sink
“But he is gone now, even though the Elvers did him dirty.“ She added.
Her phone rang again and she picked it up seeing who the caller was.
“Sheriff Trina!“ She announced on the phone
“The patient is awake, I just called to inform!“
“Really? I will be right there.“ She rushed and hung up
“Olivia is awake!“ She announced to Decker.

She walked towards the council, this time they were standing on their feet, none were seated at they pace impatiently.
“Greetings!“ She greeted
“Spare me that, The blade is gone!“ Leslie thundered at her, and this is the first time she has ever raised her voice at her, she knew this was Scarlett doings.
“Told you she was useless!“ Scarlett chips in.
“Who is useless? I was the one doing the whole job, y'all sit on that useless throne and were waiting till whenever she will be awaken, I wonder if your butt don't ache from getting stone-ridden while seating on that stupid stone throne.“ She spat out angrily, she is tired of them always directing and controlling her, she made a deal with Anetta not them, she wasn't given what she wanted, but she owned her submission and loyalty not them.
“You dare raise your voice at me!“ Leslie said angrily
“Yes, I did!“
“You called us useless? Weren't you the one who stopped us from interfering in your plans, and it's all because you were protecting that bed ridden Olivia and her stupid Twin daughters!“ Scarlett spat, and she shook, how did they know?
