Everything happens for a purpose or for a reason. It is something that we have to be receptive about. As people, we do things that we feel like it is going to be better and we do it anyway even though we know in the first place that there is also someone else who gets affected by the decision we would make and even if it feels so hard within ourselves, we still pursue it because we contemplate that there will be a nice thing that comes out of it.
Alyn decided to stop communicating with Donny for she thought that Donny was not deserving of somebody who is sick. She thought that Donny should never be waiting for 4 years in order for them to be officially together. Scanning further, it was school days when the Albert Einstein's Teaching Staffs broke the news to all students about the upcoming event and that , there would be a search for Mr. and Ms. AEPS. Everybody was excited about it and was thinking who will be their female and male representatives. When the class was doing the selection , classmates of Alyn chose her to be their female candidate and at the same time, they had chosen Gio to be her partner. Alyn wanted to be a part of the said activity so, she said "yes" and the same feeling came to Gio. Gio was a basketball player and a handsome guy. He was also one of the excellent journalists of their institution. So, it is going to be extremely amazing for Alyn and Gio were both great and deserving to be chosen as the official candidates for the section " Hope". Afterwards, the principal of the school , Mrs. Charlita dropped by to every classrooms to know who will be the official candidates and to allow all students know that the pageant will be next week. The moment when Mrs. Charlita arrived to section hope, all students and Alyn got so much excited and she was then thinking about her preparation with Gio. Alyn got the alacrity to ask the principal about the other representatives but Mrs. Charlita did not tell her yet for the principal wanted to make everything as a surprise. Right after the visitation of the principal, Gio approached Alyn for the first time and said, " Hi" that was the first word that came out of his mouth. Alyn never said anything that would serve as a great response but she just smiled. "Well, can we just, you know, practice together like I really want this section to win. Can we do that?". Gio asked. " Never ask me about that anymore because I want us to win too of course!" Alyn responded with the high energy. Then Gio said," That would be amazing. So where should we start? oh wait, are you free tonight? Maybe we can talk to my friend because he is a good trainer in terms of pageantry you know and I feel like he can help us a lot, are you in?" Gio asked. Alyn told him that, " Oh, really?! Well, I need to ask permission from my parents first but I am sure they would allow me to do that." After the class, Alyn was about to go to the waiting area but Donny suddenly came out. "Alyn!". Because of this way of calling her, Alyn was shocked and she couldn't breathe properly for she got amazingly surprised for she never wanted to talk to Donny yet. Donny was approaching her. " Hey Alyn, what happened?!". "Don...don...ny.. plea..pleasee stop". In a fraction of a second , Alyn fell to the ground and Donny was clueless of what was happening. Students were running over to know what was going on and Donny was there, giving his all out strength to carry Alyn to bring her to the clinic but it was too late for him in a way that, Alyn's parents, Mariano and Camila arrived and they immediately brought Alyn to the nearest hospital. Donny had no idea what to do but he followed where Alyn was confined. Unfortunately, the doctors refused to accept the condition of Alyn for the hospital was unequipped to handle the situation and the parents of Alyn was told to bring her to the other hospital that is equipped with the sufficient materials and more well-trained nurses and doctors. They eventually flew to the best hospital in their town and Donny could not find them. Alyn was supplied with oxygen. Her parents were so worried about her. Luckily, Alyn never lost her consciousness and while she was in her private room, she always thought about the pageant. Days after days, the same advice they got that Alyn was not allowed yet to go home though she was feeling better. The moment she can talk properly, she eventually told her parents about the upcoming activity. "Ma, Pa I really need to go out of here. I am the representative of our school". Alyn wholeheartedly said. " What do you mean sweetie?" Her mama asked. " Mama, Papa, there is a seach for Mr. and Ms. AEPS and I was chosen to take a huge part of it". Alyn responded. Right after this, Mariano spoke out of his side in a gentle manner, " No Alyn, listen to me. From now on, you will never go to school and you will never join any activities. You will never join scouting and you will never be with anyone else just like the guy we saw yesterday. The moment you get discharged, you will have your home schooling. I don't want to hear any sort of complains and disagreements and that's it. I hope you understand my daughter. I just really have to do all of this for you". Alyn answered nothing but, " Okay Pa. I totally understand why you have to do this." Everything got settled and Alyn will never be joining in the said activity already and she will never continue her steps in scouting even though she wanted to be an Eagle Scout and she will never bother seeing Donny again.
