Balloons over there, happy birthday lettering was there, foods were ready. It was Alyn's 16th birthday! Time flew so fast. All of these things were a kind of surprise because her parents never told her and Donny was there too. The moment when Alyn saw it, she got literally surprised. They were celebrating for her birthday and Donny was smiling widely to realize that he only had few years to wait for. Donny can be very patient and strong. " Alyn Happy 16th Birthday! I am so happy for you!" Donny greeted Alyn. " Thank you Don for always being here " Alyn said. Mariano and Camila were elated for their daughter's birthday for being able to reach that far because they had been so worried about her condition but they were wrong and now, they were celebrating and could not miss every single detail of Alyn. Alongside, Donny went out for somebody was calling on him. He took so long and Alyn was wanting to know about the call. Alyn got the fuel to follow Donny outside and after a while, she heard a word " lolo". Alyn was being too curious and shocked at the same time because Donny never told her anything about having grandparents. Not only that, Alyn also heard something that would give inexplicable feelings. Alyn heard about Donny saying, "Sorry lolo, I just can't just take part of the company for now. I want simpler kind of life." After hearing this, Donny dropped the phone. " Donnnnyyy! why you didn't tell me about it." Alyn said. " About what?" Donny said. Alyn responded by saying, " You lied to me. You said, you were alone that you have no any persons in your life whereas, you have a grandparent. Why did you lie? Then a company?! You said you were poor but then it was the otherwise. You are a liar!" Alyn cried when she said all of this because she got flabbergasted of everything she heard because she just couldn't believe that Donny wasn't able to tell it to her. Donny wanted to explain but Mariano and Camila wanted him to go home. Donny got devasted. He felt like he ruined Alyn's day and that he ruined everything including the trust of Mariano and Camila. Donny got disappointed on himself. Alyn continued on crying and her parents were there and trying to comfort their only daughter. Donny will never give up on Alyn. He would always choose to continue everything what he wanted to do in the first place no matter how difficult it would be. But everytime he knocked the door of Greece's family, nobody opened it.
Donny tried to come back again and again but still, the same thing he would encounter. He couldn't even see Alyn in their classroom and he was clueless at a time. He tried to ask Cryst about it but she had no idea. He tried to ask Gio but Gio had no idea at the same time. Donny asked the classmates of Alyn but they had no idea and finally teacher Zayn answered Donny's question. After a while, Donny was equipped with a knowledge that Alyn transfered to another school but teacher Zayn couldn't tell Donny about it even more because she made a promise to Greece family that she won't tell anybody else about it. Donny tried to force teacher Zayn but similar thing had happened. Donny was carrying a heavy feeling and he didn't know what to do next but then, he received a call again and it was his lolo. Donny answered the call and said something directly, " Lo, I am ready to be the person that you've always wanted me to be." Mr. Dong Smyth was the grandfather of Donny. He was wealthy in a way that his company continued on growing from being a millionaire down to becoming a billionaire. This success will never be possible without his painful experiences. It was his big loss when parent's of Donny died especially his father, Mr. Dan.
Donny's father occupied so much space within his Lolo's heart because he was the only son of Mr. Dong and Mrs. Amelia. Mr. Dong only had his one grandson to take the legacy of the company. Looking back, Mr. Dong's wife, Mrs. Amelia, died when she was giving a birth of Donny's father. It was a huge ache for Mr. Dong and he almost wanted to give up for everything. But he was able to cover things up and realize that he needed to be stronger for his grandson at least and that he should never be surrending. Mr. Dong started investing in real estate in the first place and always wanted to build his company. His wife died because he wasn't able to pay for the exact amount of what the terrible doctor said. His wife died because of their poverty. He wasn't able to save his wife and until now, he was still blaming himself.
Mr. Dong was overwhelmed when Donny visited him for the very first time to his company. It's been a long time when he saw his grandson and Mr. Dong could not afford to hold his feelings up. His eyes were filled with tears seeing Donny coming over. Donny was touched to witness his Lolo's appearance, having a grey hair, wrinkles on his face, and tears on his eyes. Donny embraced his lolo and Mr. Dong couldn't just believe what Donny did. They felt the moment of being together and Mr. Dong told his assistant to prepare something really special for his grandson's visitation. His Lolo's assistant was very active and she immediately obeyed Mr. Dong's order. Donny and Mr. Dong talked a lot of things and shared what they had been doing to one another these past few days, months, and years. Donny told his Lolo about Alyn. He shared everything he could possibly share and Mr. Dong was very supportive so he was willing to help his grandson to locate Alyn. Donny tried to say no at first but his lolo insisted and said, " Donny, fight for her. You can't give up now." After moments of solemn conversation, Ms. Yeng, informed Mr. Dong Smyth that everything else was set. Donny and Mr. Dong went out of the office for the special celebration and everyone was cheering and making a noise. Donny was glad to hear it all and it was his first time to experience it.
Mr. Dong made his sincere speech for his grandson and Donny was authentically moved by his Lolo's words. Donny then realized that his Lolo needed him. His Lolo needed care and love coming from his only grandson. Donny made a promise to himself that he would make it up for his Lolo and that he would redeem himself. Donny took his turn to say something back and he was very thankful to see his loving Lolo's genuine and wide smile after all.
