SABRINA’S POV
“ I love you, Sab.” Aiden sincerely and sweetly whispered in my ears. I am blessed to be his soon-to-be wife.
“ Ahem!”
We all looked to whoever faked a cough near the door of the office. I gulped together with a loud sound of my heartbeat when I recognized who come to visit us. The joy in the atmosphere changed. The whole room was in silence because of the visitors.
“ Go back to your work.” The deep voice from Aiden’s father broke the silence inside the office.
I saw how everyone rushed to go back to their workstation. I looked away when Aiden’s father's eyes looked in my direction. Just like before, I felt small because of how he looked at me with judgement.
“ Let’s talk in your office,” I felt goosebumps and hid behind Aiden’s back when his parents walked in front of us.
I looked at Aiden when he held my hand, “ Don’t worry, we will face them together.”
I gently nodded and started walking while holding Aiden’s hand tightly. Honestly, one of the reasons why I woke up late today was because I was not able to sleep thinking about what could possibly happen when I met Aiden’s parents after our engagement. I did not imagine that it will happen this fast. However, I fully decided to fight for my love for Aiden even with his father. I was prepared to prove myself to them. I want them to see that I am deserving to be with Aiden.
“ What are you doing here?” This was how Aiden greeted his parents when we entered his office. I looked at Aiden when I heard those words. Gosh, he made this more difficult for the two of us.
“ Watch your mouth, young man!” Aiden’s father angrily threatened him. I pulled my hand from Aiden’s. so I won’t add up his father’s anger. However, Aiden didn’t want to let go.
“ I am just asking, dad,” Aiden sarcastically said. He went near his parents while holding my hand.
“ We wanted to surprise you, but it seems like you are the one who has a surprise to us,” Aiden’s mother stated and looked at me. I forcedly smiled at her because I was so nervous. I did not want her to notice it.
“ I talked to both of you about it, yet you kept on ignoring me. Then it hits me with the truth that your blessing did not matter to me on this decision. I will still marry Sabrina no matter what you say,” Aiden said in a courageous manner, which made me look at him. I saw the determination in his eyes.
Aiden’s held my hand even tighter when her mother started walking towards us. When she was in front of me, she hugged me tightly.
“ Welcome to the family, sweetheart,” Aiden’s mother cheerfully told me while hugging me tightly.
“ W-what is happening?” Aiden confusedly asked us. It seemed like he expect different. I smiled at him and started telling him what happened when he was not here in the Philippines.

“ M-Mrs. Anderson, “ I stammered when I called her name. I immediately stood up after coming back to my senses.
“ In my office, Ms. Cruz. “ She instructed with authority in her voice. She turned her back to me. I immediately followed her until we reach her office.
“ Close the door and take your seat, Sabrina.” She said while relaxed sitting down in her swivel chair. I hurriedly obeyed her command.
“ Ma’am, w-what d-do y-you w-want m-me t-to d-do?” I stammered while asking her because I was so nervous when she called me by my first name. Gosh, I hope she won’t fire me on my job.
“ I want to talk to you about Aiden,” She seriously told me while looking at my eyes. I felt like she was trying to intimidate me, but I won’t back down.
“ Aiden is my only son and I want the best for him…” She started speaking again.
“ You know that I don’t hate you for being his girlfriend, but I am just concern on what other people might say about your relationship, especially…” She stopped and looked at me from head to toe.
“ Especially I am his secretary, am I right, Ma’am?” I continued what she was pertaining to earlier.
“ Yes. Your image will affect Aiden as the CEO of the biggest company in the country. It will bring shame on our family” Aiden’s mother's statement was like an arrow striking my heart. I knew that they looked at me as a low-grade woman because I am working with Aiden as his secretary. But I realized that saying it on my face is way so painful than imagining it to happen.
“ With all due respect, Ma’am, I could not see something wrong about it. But to ease your worry, I was offered a job as a fashion designer in Canada,” I bravely informed her. Of course, I won't back down easily. I saw how Aiden’s mother smiled because of what I said, but it instantly faded.
“ You think that is enough, is it?” She asked and raised her eyebrow at me.
“ I know it will not satisfy you, but I just want you to know that I will do everything to prove myself again to you and his father,” I remarked and looked at her eyes directly.
“ You are a smart woman. No wonder Aiden kept on fighting for you,” Aiden’s mother stated while smiling at me, which shocked me. I mean, it was a long time since I last saw that smile from her.
“ I will do the same for him,” I sincerely told her with a smile on my face. I was shocked when she held my hand.
“ Sabrina, thanks for loving my son,” She sincerely remarked. Wait. Does it mean she was now okay with my relationship with Aiden?
“ You know I did not hate you; I just want the best for Aiden.” She stated. I understand her. I also knew that her heart is pure, and she just want to protect Aiden.
“ I understand, Ma’am.” I replied.
“ You can call me Auntie again if you want”

“ Sabrina…” We all looked at Aiden’s father when he called my name.
“ S-sir?”
“ Drop the sir. Welcome to the family.” Those words made my tears fall in my eyes. Those tears started to form when Aiden’s mother hugged me.
“ T-thank you,” I teary-eyed thanked them. I believed that even if the process was so long, I am still happy that we received Aiden’s parents’ blessing.
“ Mom, Dad, thank you,” Aiden happily thanked his parents.
“ Anything for you sweetheart,” Aiden’s mother stated, then hugged Aiden tightly. I could not help but smile because of what I am seeing right now. I did not expect the time will come that they will be reunited again.
“ You should take care of Sabrina, son. You will not see another woman like her,” I smiled because of Aiden’s father's comment.
“ We should celebrate,” Aiden’s mother cheerfully remarked.
“ Let’s have a family dinner, later.” Aiden’s father suggested.
“ Of course with you, Sab. After all, you will be part of this family officially once you two get married” He added. The happiness in my heart could not be contained after I heard what he said.
“ We will be there, Dad.” Aiden answered for me. He might notice that I am so overwhelmed that I could not utter any words.
TIFFANY’S POV
“ Did you know already?” My friend asked after sitting down in front of me. I raised my eyebrow in confusion about what she was pertaining to.
“ Aiden Anderson is now engaged to his long-time girlfriend,” She added.
“ What?!” I slammed my hand on the table upon hearing her news.
“ What are you looking at? Mind your own business!” I shouted to everyone who looked at me because of what I did.
“ Calm down, Tiffany.” She tried to calm me down while pulling me to sit down.
“ How could I calm down with that kind of news?” I emphatically told her. Aiden’s girlfriend was a thorn in my throat. But I felt sorry for her because Aiden is only mine.
“ What are you planning to do now?” My friend asked.
I grinned, “ I get what I want, honey. I will be the one walking in the aisle on Aiden’s wedding. I am sure of it,” I confidently responded and held my tummy.
“ How will you do that?” She asked again. Gosh, where did I get this kind of friend?
“ Watch and learn,” I said and took a sip of my iced cappuccino.
