VANESSA'S POV (Continues)
"What are you doing here, i mean Hi David" I said a bit unsteady like i did something wrong
"Vanessa, didn't know you'll be here" David said looking towards both I and Tod 
"You know this guy?" Todd asked while he held my arm, David's eyes immediately drifted to that direction
"Yea, he's..." 
"Looks like i interrupted something, i need to get going" David said cutting me off
"Nice meeting you ..." David said again bringing his hand forward
"Todd" he replied reciprocating the same action, they kept their hands in that position And it felt like they were never letting it go 
"See you around Vanessa" He said to me, smiled and left
"What was that about, who is he?" Todd asked as he unlocked the car so we can get in 
"He's a friend, David, it seemed pretty awkward meeting him like that"
"Why, you have a thing for him or something and does he  attend WSU cause i haven't seen him around there before and i know almost everyone there" Todd asked 
"No, he's not ... Well he went there but have graduated, he's currently working now " I explained
"Okay, but you didn't answer my first question, something's going on between you two? Cause you acted like you just got caught by your boyfriend" Todd questions kept coming
"Well no, nothing's going on, we only had dinner once after we met a few days before" I tried explaining more calmly
"Relax okay, don't let this feel like an interrogation, i just wanted to clear my thoughts" He said and pulled up in our driveway, wait  i don't remember giving him my address
"How do you know where i live" I asked puzzled
"Got a little intel from Log, but that shouldn't stress you out, you should go in and freshen up" he said and i unbluckled my seat belt, to my surprise he stretched towards me before i could let anything out of my mouth, i felt a light peck on my cheek which startled me 
"Bye" I said and stepped out before watching him drive out
'That came from nowhere' i soliloquized and went inside
"How was it?" Emily asked immediately i walked in 
"Looks like your idea of a 'distraction' is gonna work after all" I told her putting air quotes on distraction while i saw her giggling
"Called it and yea, you're definitely getting laid, trust me" She assured
"Well, we were smooching not until David showed up and i freaked out a bit" 
"Hope nothing happened between them both?" She asked
"Like what exactly" I asked confused
"Todd might act cool around you but he can get rough atimes, glad he didn't loose his shit"  she warned
"How did you know that" I still asked wanted to be sure about him
"I've seen him whip a guys ass before, and Logan tells me stuff" 
"Oh yeah, have he told you he likes you yet?"I teased cause of her reply but she waved off the question
"I think we've found out edge on the Claire situation" She said grinning
"Which is?" I asked oblivious
"Todd of cause, i think he's growing feelings but don't let your guard down, bad guys aren't to be trusted" She warned like a Mum to her daughter about boys 
"You're just gonna make him fall for you more so you can put on a show right infront of Claire, the feelings doesn't need to be reciprocated, if you didn't feel like it" Emily said in detail
"So what, you just want me to use him?" I questioned
"It's not like you're using him, you'll just have fun and I'm pretty sure he's not fully into you"
"You just said now that i should make him fall for me more" I asked confused
"Nessa you know what i mean okay, just don't make it too obvious" She said again
"And what about David huh?" 
"You like him or what?" She asked
"I didn't say that" I interjected hurriedly
"But you got all freakishly worried when he came by"
"Cause we are friends and it might have seem weird at that moment" I tried explaining
"Do what you want okay" Emily said and left 
On Thursday, i and Mily were done with our afternoon shift and were going back home, as well walked away from the building, surprisingly we saw Todd car parked in the parking lot
"Care for a ride?" He asked as we go closer 
"Where's Claire?" Emily asked which made me turn to her direction with wide eyes 
"Still at school, why?" He replied with another question 
"No reason, let's go" I got in the front seat while Mily took the back, we couldn't drive today cause we choose not to, and it turned out well i guess
"Why didn't you take my calls yesterday and you didn't respond to my text?" Todd questioned as he drove
"Sorry, wasn't with my phone at the moment you called and i forgot to reply back your text" I apologized  gazing at his visible abs  that was in view cause his shirt was unbuttoned, he really was hot just like Mily said
"Chill i ain't mad at you, but you're gonna makeup for it though"
"Sure, anything" I agreed
"Okay, one of my dude Jayden is throwing a  pool frat party tomorrow, you must be there, you two"  He said looking at Emily through the rearview
"What's up with you guys and frat parties anyway, last week you, Logan and the rest of the clique threw a frat party" I said
"Last two weeks you mean, you weren't here last week" He corrected
"Oh, my mistake anyways answer my question" I demanded 
"For fun  of cause, we have only a year and half in here so  why don't we make the best of it" He said referring to him and his crew, apart from Claire cause she's still in her second year
"That makes sense a bit" I agreed and turned around to see if Emily was following but rather she was engulfed with her phone, not listening to us one bit 
"You can invite anyone you want, it's an open party, I'll send the address later on" He said again, pulling into our driveway 
"Thanks for the ride dumbass" Emily said, got down and hurriedly went upstairs, don't know what that was about
 I opened the door to do the same thing but Todd stopped me by placing his palm on my thigh and caressed it a bit, i then changed the direction of my eyes to his eyes, then his lips, they looked so full and were begging to be kissed, we both kept our stare on each other and drew closer to ourselves,he then crashed his lips on mine first before I reciprocated, it was totally mesmerizing that we kept on in that position, seconds later, it turned to a heated session, i knew i didn't want to have car sex, so i had to break it off before anything drastic would occur 
"See you tomorrow" I simply said tryna catch my breath  and walked out, but i turned around again on my way inside to give a small wave which he smiled in return
"I saw your makeout sesh" Emily said once i got in
"You were spying?" I asked with wide eyes
"Not entirely" She said which left me with a huff and i went back to my thoughts, i don't know but maybe i might have in a way started growing feelings i think. 
I was taking a shower later that night when i heard my phone right from the sitting room, it rang the first time and stopped, then started again but before it stopped, i ran over there with a towel wrapped around my chest, i answered the call and heard Emily walking in 
"Hi Ray" I simply said over the phone
"Vanessa Hi, sorry for calling this late but do you stay around Number 23 Melbourne street?" he asked which sounded weird at first
"Yeeees" I answered confused
"Great, I'm at your driveway, what floor exactly?" Came his question again, this time i was utterly shocked on hearing him 
"Third floor, second door by your right" I replied which made Emily look confusedly at me 
"I'll be up in a bit" He said and i gave him my reply and hung up 
"What the hell!!!" I yelled
"Who was that?" Emily asked
"Raymond's here" I simply answered
"How? Did he say he was coming and did you give him our address?" She kept on with her questions 
"I don't know okay, I'm hella confused as you are right now  but what i know for sure is that  i need to put some clothes on" I said pointing to my towel
"Hi Raymond" I and Mily greeted simultaneously once i opened the front door after changing to my nightwear 
"Come sit" i ushered him to the sitting room
"Would you like anything?" Emily asked
"No, nothing thanks for asking though and it's great seeing you again Emily, last week Vanessa mentioned that you both stayed together, nice place you got here" He complimented 
"And sorry for coming without a notice, I just wanted to spend the weekend outside Stanford and thought of the perfect place to, if not here, with you" He concluded looking right at me  
"Okay thanks for clearing that up, but another question though, how did you locate where i stay, Pullan's huge so how did you find me" I asked again
"Last week i swung by you guys house but was told you already left, so your Mum gave your address to me" He said
"She did, didn't she" I said feigning a smile while i was vexed on the inside of me, even after what they did, they had to add this to the chart huh! She didn't even ask for my concent 
"Okay i better start leaving, it's already getting late, i just dropped by to see exactly where you stayed" He said
"Where do you stay yourself?" Emily asked
"Oh, i booked a hotel before coming to Pullman it's not quite far from here, see you girls tomorrow, you'll be free right?" He asked
"Well we're gonna kinda be busy after work tomorrow..." 
"You could totally join us if you want" Emily offered cutting me mid statement and she received a glare from me
"Join you for what?" He inquired 
"Well there's a frat party we were invited to tomorrow" I replied still glaring at Mily
"What? Todd said it was an open party and we could invite anyone" Emily responded nonchalantly 
"Great, I'll be there, we'll tag along if you girls don't mind" He said and was heading towards the door when Emily voiced out again
"FYI it's a pool party" He nodded and bid his farewell before leaving
"What the hell Mily?"
"What?" She asked pretty oblivious of what she had done.
