Crazy Gold

*Cali POV*
I am relieved when the Palmville pack leaves with Zenith. That girl is crazy. It turns out that she is carrying Caleb’s  pup. That did not stop her from trying to pass the pup on to Leroy. Now that the plan did not work, she has declared herself Caleb’s Luna, even though she is not his mate.
It’s only now that Luna Sarah informs me that Leroy is lucky to have managed to reject her. Apparently, she goes for the Beta’s when she and Caleb fight. That has placed a strain between the Betas and their future Alpha.
I can’t believe that they lied and sang her praises when they arrived here because they wanted to get her away from their son. I remember her even saying Leroy was all Zenith spoke about since they rescued her.
It’s an hour later when Alloy and Neptune’s parents arrive with Rufus, their famous Epsilon.
“Rufus wanted to tag along. I hope Her Highness does not mind,” Terrence says and bows his head.
I make eye contact with our Epsilon. I know that Rufus is a great prophet too, but I never want to offend the man who has been with me since day one.
The old man nods and I welcome Rufus, who is just as shocked by my two marks.
I get straight to the point the moment pleasantries are out of the way. They have no idea why Leroy is still unconscious after Zenith accepted his rejection, but are as usual, always ready to help.
I am always amazed by their humbleness. I feel so much at ease with them here.
We have just gotten into my chambers when Terrence asks to speak to Gold, who strangely refuses.  My Lycan loves interacting with Terrence and his lycan. He is her favourite, but refuses to talk to him today.
Luna Abi, who is Alloy’s mother and mother Luna Nala, who is Neptune’s mother and Alloy’s grandmother, exchange knowing looks and shake their heads.
“What’s going on?” I ask. Their expression tells me that they have figured this out.
“Terrence can get into your head and read your thoughts. Your Lycan must know this,” mother Luna Nala responds, but that does not explain why Gold does not want to speak to Terrence.
“It’s exactly what my wolf, Nina did when she tried to kill Omario,” Luna Abi, explains and I am flabbergasted.
“Gold?” I question my Lycan, who is acting very suspicious.
“Shift, My Queen,” Terrence urges and I do despite Gold’s objection.
“What did you do?” Terrence questions Gold, who drops a bomb on me.
“Unlike Nina, I have found a way to separate Leroy from his treacherous wolf. Sky can die without harming our Leroy.”
My eyes widen, shocked. I can’t believe this! History is repeating itself.
“What? Are you crazy?” I exclaim in disbelief.
“We are royalty and mythically majestic. He is lucky to be mated to us. He cannot continue acting like a hormone-driven teenager. He can’t just be running after other mates right in front of us. We don’t need Sky. He is spineless and untrustworthy. He does not deserve us. We only need Leroy,” Gold declares angrily. I knew that she was angry and I don’t blame her, but this is extreme.
“Both Sky and Leroy are our mates,” I remind her.
Unlike wolves, I have been told that we don’t get a second chance mate and we can hardly live without our mates.
“Leroy had to fight Sky to remain our mate. We only need Leroy. He is the only worthy one,” Gold refute my statement. She has obviously thought this madness through.
“Sky is a wolf. He is controlled by instinct and pulled to the mate bond,” I try to explain to Gold, who is adamant that we do not need Sky.
“Then we can’t live either,” I say and let my mind drift away.
Now that I know why Leroy is unconscious, I know what to do because I know how Luna Abi stopped her crazy inferno wolf from killing her mate.
“What? Are you crazy?” Gold asks. I clearly took her by surprise.
“I love both Leroy and Sky. I agree that Sky can be crazy and possessive, but I love him. He and Leroy protected me way before you showed up. I want them back, both of them,” I command my crazy Lycan.
“Fine!” she concedes.
That was strangely easy. I can’t help thinking that it is a trick.
“Stop what you are doing before you harm our pups,” she adds and drops another bomb on me. Now I get why she is panicking all of a sudden.
“What? I am pregnant?” I ask. She obviously senses these things way before me.
“Yes, gorgeous princess twins. So different, they shall be fire and ice. Anyway, our girls will need a stable home. That’s why I have to get rid of that spineless idiot,” Gold brags and motivates why she should get rid of Sky.
“Get them back,” I hiss at her while Alloy goes all crazy. If Gold is right about this pregnancy, Alloy’s claim is another thing Leroy and I have to address. I need Leroy and Sky here first.
“I am doing it!” Gold snaps and lets me take over right before Leroy gasps and sits up.
I can’t hold back my tears when our eyes meet. I am soon weeping in his arms. He holds me tightly and traces his marks on my neck.
“We will give you some privacy,” mother Luna Nala says and leads everyone out, but Alloy does not move.
“Or maybe we should stay, just in case,” he suggests.
His mother grabs him and drags him out.
“Grandma, Grandpa, I have to be there,” I can hear him sulking outside. Apparently his grandparents do spoil him rotten despite the fact that Neptune, who is their son is younger than him.
“No, you don’t. Get back there and I will drag you back home and ground you for life,” I hear his mother warning before its all quiet.
I turn to look at Leroy, guilt ripping through me.
“I was convince that you will choose Zenith. I am so sorry for doubting you.”
He cups my face and gazes at my eyes until my whole face is burning.
“I will rather die than be with someone else. Get that in your head,” he finally speaks and all I can do is nod.
“I love you, Leroy, with all my heart. Please, don’t ever die on me,” I blurt out and he chuckles before becoming serious.
“Sky is me, My Queen, My Luna.”
“I know. I love him too and he knows that.”
“And Gold?” he asks. I guess he knows what happened.
“She was mad and hurt, but you deal with her,” I say. Now that Gold knows how to separate the two, this is something we can’t take lightly.
He raises his sexy eyebrows at me and all I want is embrace him.
“What? The two of you get along. You deal with it,”  I repeat my sentiments. Gold use to curl up in his arms way before I accepted this bond.
“Gold and I are fine. What she did hurt like hell, but she can never get rid of me,” Sky says cockily. I hope he is right about that.
“I will, you idiot!” Gold snaps at Sky, who laughs at her.
“You are so powerful and damn hot. One blow could have ended me. You could have finished me two days ago, yet you kept getting me back,” Sky says with an amused tone. I don’t even want to know what she did.
Gold huffs. I guess Sky is right. I rest my head on Leroy’s shoulder and yawn. The sleep I have been postponing since he went into coma is catching up with me. I close my eyes and drifting off. Leroy can deal with his cocky wolf and my crazy Lycan.
